Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Thread 6 blows my mind

@TheBossOfMe and @Bipaloss thank you for your kind words.

I got on the scales just now and I weigh 10st 4lbs so lost the 4lbs I had put on. Which I can not have done so it just goes to show how much the body fluctuates.

I will take back my mini rant and just crack on as normal. MJ is worth every penny I have spent on it 🤣

I really do think the weather is messing with us A LOT, as well as all the other things people have got going on. I've been chugging water like there's no tomorrow and I think it has helped a little bit with my feeling that nothing was changing.

I'm jabbing today, a day early this week, and will carry on a six day routine for the next few weeks. So that my wedding anniversary in mid July doesn't fall on jab day+2, which also might coincide with my first 7.5 if I move up. I also think a six day cycle for the rest of my 5mg is a good idea. I can always shuffle back once/if I switch to 7.5.

13 weeks tomorrow and I've finally moved off 15st 2 - today the scales offered me 15st 0.75 so I'll take it.

I’m nearly at target, and have booked an oushk maintenance call for Tuesday (v anxious about losing all the anti inflammatory and other benefits too)

Ive been on 5mg and it’s worked well, titrating down to 3.75 with clicks now.

its good to see it written down. And genuinely would have never managed it without this thread. Thank you all.

starting my new job tomorrow. Full of first day nerves, and no idea what to wear, but v glad I can go in to a new office as the person I want to be.

Amazing that you are nearly at goal. I am thinking of maintenance can you let me know what they say.

Will do - my BMI is 23.5 now so think I need to be careful about the reordering.

Outsidebeanshop · 22/06/2025 12:40

Ugh ffs! I’m in a total pickle here! I have been ordering from Asda since the start. They are now apparently taking 6 days to process and I didn’t order my next pen in good time, and probably more of a problem is my local Asda no longer seems to be an option for collection and I darent get it ordered to my house as I will be out of the house, my husband works from home and will take delivery and he doesn’t know I’m on it. So I shopped around and boots do collection, I went through the process with them. They have just rejected my order because my BMI is 28 now - how the hell am i meant to continue this journey?! I feel so stressed. I’m supposed to jab on Tuesday and I have nothing

Asda uses ZAVA they have a delay of up to 5 days for dr review but my last pen was approved within 2 days so even if they state it if returning customer you may be able to receive it earlier

there is a lot of delays now with most providers due to demand especially on 2.5 and 15 mg

also check with your local non branded pharmacy as my local one has advertised they do it now

with boots try contacting them with proof of prior prescription and also try Morrison pharmacy if needed to collect

also DPD and Royal mail can be changed to Post Office collection during delivery (when you receive notification) if non collection option is not available

my neighbour has taken my twice and they would never know it was a jab as the soft padding around it feels like it’s clothes (there is no branding that it is from ZAVA on mine)

Outsidebeanshop · 22/06/2025 12:59

Puddingpiper · 22/06/2025 12:42

@Outsidebeanshop hope this helps gives you the full list of providers. Do boots know that you are just moving providers rather than starting new https://monj.co.uk/mounjaro-maintenance-pharmacies/

Thanks. Yes they did but said they weren’t able to verify my starting bmi and sorry they couldn’t help. I have just gone back to them to say what would they need from me and hopefully they’ll respond.

Chilldrill · 22/06/2025 13:02

@Outsidebeanshop , can you go to a local small pharmacy? a lot of them are doing it, Ours is good apparently, if you explain your predicament they might fit you in.

Thank you soooo much this is sooo helpful. I did try Morrisons but at some point during the ordering process it looked like it was delivery only but that’s a great shout about changing delivery options to collection!! Didn’t think of that. Also good to know about the discrete packaging thank you - so that was Asda?? Maybe I’ll just go for it and I’ll be a bit delayed on my jab this week but at least they’re happy to give me my repeat prescription!!

I had no idea local pharmacies were doing it, yes I think I’ll have a look thank you!

Also sorry, would the packaging keep it cold until I get home from work (and just to reiterate defo no indication on the packaging of what it is or where it’s from?)

Yes ZAVA is suplier for Asda . It comes with ice blocks and padding , should be cold up to 3 days after dispatch

My postie knows that I get MJ, as I told her and leaves it on my doorstep and it stays cold all day if I am out.

I love my postie she is the best and you can not see that it contains any medication.

Hi all, another one with slightly dodgy week… STS weight wise, slightly lost my grip on eating due to busy week… my food just gets a bit chaotic and crap choices which mean calories but minimal nutrition. Also ate something that seriously disagreed with me and had awful night with stomach ache and ‘fun’ in the morning in the bathroom. Oh, and TOTM arrived 5 days early.

However… been happily wearing shorts and admiring my collarbones so not all bad! Going for a better week!

Fuck it have just ordered from Asda to be delivered. It’ll obviously not be here by Tuesday but whatever. And if I have to explain to my husband I will, he was just pretty against it to begin with but now I’ve been on it 3 months and have lost some weight nice and sensibly I feel better informed to show him it’s nothing to be concerned about. Still, I’d rather actually avoid it 😂

TryForSpring · 22/06/2025 14:35

What a fantastic new start, @Yetanotherusername2000! Good luck for tomorrow.

mumofmanydaughterofone · 22/06/2025 16:24

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 22/06/2025 09:00

Amazing!! Well done! Where did you go? I do a lot of walking but very flat here would love to do some hills/mountain.

It was Helvellyn in the lakes - normally walk on the flat as well so it was a bit of a challenge!

TheBossOfMe · 22/06/2025 17:27

@Yetanotherusername2000 - that's brilliant, lovely to start a new job feeling good about yourself. Good luck tomorrow!

@mumofmanydaughterofone I love Helvellyn, but none of the routes up are easy walks, well done!

Very lazy day doing nothing much apart from cooking and reading, I'm finding it unusually hard to motivate myself to exercise at the moment. And am also low motivation at work, which is unusual for me. I think some people feel more anxious on MJ, I think apathy might be a bit of a strange side effect for me. Weird.

Yetanotherusername2000 · 22/06/2025 17:38

Thanks all. I’ve prepped a lunch (Greek yoghurt, blueberries, strawberries and granola) but I’m always anxious eating in front of new people!

I am finding ChatGPT soooooo useful as well. Am logging photos and meals and it’s really giving me motivation.

@TheBossOfMe- totally get the apathy. Me too - but it’s better than the anxiety I had before. I hope the other poster who was anxious has come through it too.

GiveMeWordGames · 22/06/2025 17:40

@TheBossOfMe anhedonia is a known side effect, even if just anecdotally like feeling cold is.

The only IRL person I know on MJ has talked about experiencing it sometimes.

Ingangoolie · 22/06/2025 22:24

@TheBossOfMe I imagine you could be drained from everything you’ve been holding. Maybe your brain has decided to switch off for a bit and conserve some energy, take care of yourself now.

Flamethrowers · 23/06/2025 08:14

Hello all, fab to see all the losses and people streaming ahead!

@TheBossOfMe in sure it's a blip. I had two weeks low exercise motivation but I challenged it by changing the exercise - now I'm swimming in an outdoor pool which feels less like work.

@Outsidebeanshop I've got the same problem with Asda - due to inject Tuesday, ordered Thursday before realised delays.
so I won't be on time this week.

@Yetanotherusername2000 ajither one here interested in how the maintenance call goes. We are more or less in the same position.

SW: 11 stone 10 pounds (bmi around 28)
CW: 9 stone 12 pounds (bmi 23.6)
GW: 9 stone 7 pounds (bmi 22.7)

my cholesterol is now high-end normal (high cholesterol was reason for prescription) and my inflammation is low. I don't snore anymore, My joints don't ache and the exercise means I can scoop down to pick things up and get up off chairs without groaning.

still on 2.5 and loosing 3/4 pound per week. Don't want to go up as Mounjaro has lowered my blood pressure to a point I have hypotension. So I probably have 2 months to go on this dose to reach goal.

i absolutely am struggling with the protein. I am only managing at 75mg a day. I don't eat red meat and I'm dairy intolerant (managed a 60g protein breakfast yesterday but the kefir overload meant I had to go back to bed all afternoon). I can't stand Greek yogurt and can't countenance almond milk smoothies or smoked salmon. I used to love eggs but now they make me sad. I ended up having chicken for breakfast last week, I was so desperate. I'm swigging my collagen like medicine. It's upsetting to eat things I don't love. Any tips appreciated. It's quite hard as I don't eat UPFs as much as possible... which reduces the processed easy protein hits. Thought I'd try a tuna and cannelloni bean salad today. Or eat a fox in the garden. Anything.

soupforbrains · 23/06/2025 08:35

@Flamethrowersdo you really mean 75mg of protein? Surely you mean grams? And if that’s true then at the weight you’re currently at thats totally fine.

The rule of thumb when not losing weight is to eat around 0.75g of protein per kilo of weight. This is usually increased to 1g per kilo when losing weight. At your current weight you’re about 63kg so should be eating between 47g and 63g a day woukd be sufficient. 75g is great.

on the flip side if you actually ARE only managing 75mg I’m not sure what to say other than… eat some protein??
