Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Thread 6 blows my mind

Start Weight: 23st 6.4lbs
Initial Goal Weight: 12st 5lbs (24.9 BMI)
Current Weight: 19st 11.4lbs
Loss: 3st 9lb (51 lbs)

For the first time in I don't know how many years my weight starts with a 1! Granted, it's still 19 st, but I can't remember when that last happened. There is still a long way to go, but I'm pleased with how things are going.

Well done. Amazing news xx

Hi everyone,

I haven’t been on for a couple of weeks as have had lots going on and this thread sort of ran away from me. But today is the morning of my big family holiday for my 40th birthday (we fly later today) so here’s my final pre-holiday weigh in (see photo attached- might take a sec to load). I am sooo happy with this and there’s no way I could have achieved it without mounjaro.

I am taking my 5mg pen on holiday with me- I am away for 18 days which will include 2 jab days, but I am going to be more relaxed about what I eat but the MJ will keep me in check to no overdo it. Once I get back I will then be thinking about what maintenance will look like for me.

I hope to catch up properly on the thread (and be on the next one!) but well done and good luck to everyone x

Nice updates to read today.
@TheBossOfMe appreciate the maintenance updates too as it’s a big part of the whole thing.

Anyone else getting Zava adverts every time you look at MN? Do you think it’s across the platform or specially curated for us GLP1 users?

GiveMeWordGames · 29/07/2025 08:54

Same @Ingangoolie . It was wall to wall Medexpress and now it's Zava.

Have a lovely holiday @TryingMJ . Those results are fantastic.

Potentially but I think most providers have adverts everywhere now lol

i actually left ZAVA and moved to Pill sorted as their pens are lower price plus more discount codes , and they do maintainse too . Was really impressed the dr approved my videos and picture 1 hour after uploading and pen arrived next day. The packaging was much better and pen was much colder than from ZAVA. Pillsorted sends me all kind of tips eg protein, water intake and meal suggestions etc

Yellowsubmarine55 · 29/07/2025 18:04

Checking in....... Great reading updates from others. Those pictures are beautiful @soupforbrains.

Constipation or lack of it now as I've got it sorted is 2 psyllium husk capsules and 4 squidgy prunes from Lidl nut aisle each day. Now very regular 😆

After a whopping 0.4lb loss last week I'm back in the game with a 2.2lb loss this week. Annoyingly I'm 0.2lb away from 3st total 😬😬😬

So I'm now 12 st 4 and that milestone will come next week. Still on 2.5 and no plans to change.

RuthEvershedforPM · 29/07/2025 23:02

Phenomenal results @TryingMJ well done x

BeaTwix · 30/07/2025 00:38

I've skipped some pages. Sorry. It's so lovely to hear about some amazing success stories. Can't believe some of you have made it into maintenance. I think I'll still be heading downwards this time next year :-(

However, I'm still plodding along. Slowly but surely. I have a lot to lose. But my BMI is now firmly below 40. Which was oddly symbolic. I also got gastro a few weeks ago and now have an acquired dairy intolerance. So trying to work that in to my diet has been fun. I was pretty lackadaisical at first and accidentally ate stuff I shouldn't have (who knew M&S flapjack bites contained loads of milk)and ended up really symptomatic and had to take sick leave as I couldn't leave the loo (embarrassing)...so now I'm being strict and am totally diary free for a month. Then I'll do a gradual reintroduction up the milk ladder.

I am also still having the odd healthy eating lapse. A colleague brought in doughnuts today and I was so excited that one of them was dairy free I ate it. What a disappointment - 414calories on something that didn't even taste that good and was probably full of crap. I'd have been better off going to Amorino on my way home as at least the pistachio and chocolate sorbets tastes indulgent!

I'm also seeing some real NSV - my work uniform is baggy. I reckon I'll have to go down a size when I go below 110kg. I'm pretty sure my thighs are looking smaller (I was in an odd pilates pose and got a good view of them yesterday). No one else has commented for ages though which is disappointing. A bit of positive feedback wouldn't go amiss.

SW - 127kg
CW - 113.6kg
GW - 73kg.

MJ dose - 6mg (inching it up slowly as I really can't take any more GI symptoms at the moment).

My next mini-goal is 110kg.

TryingMJ · 30/07/2025 05:25

Well we’ve been on our family holiday less than 24hrs and my sister and her partner have got engaged! Is it bad that one of the first jokes I made to them was “thanks for waiting until I could be a skinny bridesmaid” 🤣 So now I need to maintain until whenever they set the date for!

northernlight20 · 30/07/2025 08:28

Morning all,
I walked into walk yesterday to practically everyone commenting on my weigh loss which I will admit felt good. Imagine my shock to step on the scales this morning and I’m 93.7kg!! I’ve been back from my holiday just over a week and have lost just under 4kg!! I want to lose weight but that’s too fast, hoping it slows down now as I’m eating well and not doing anything different. Was going to go up to 12.5mg next week, but I’m going to stay on 10mg. It’s my jab and weigh day today.
sw 114.4kg
cw 93.7kg

Congrats on the huge whoosh (although I agree it’s a lot, it also must be a lot of water weight from your hols)

im also staying on 10mg (switched provider) and glad I did as suppression was very strong this week . Let’s see on Sunday if I get a whosh or not (didn’t gain as much at start of the week as I usually do 🤞🏻)

also need to up my excersize as now that it’s school hols and I work from home I’m walking less as no school runs .

Flamethrowers · 30/07/2025 09:02

I injected 2.5 on Friday morning and an additional 2 on Tuesday morning (with Mounjaro half life I think that would be about 3.25) and that’s got to keep me going for two weeks. But I’m so so so happy to be away with my kiddos.
m also wearing a bikini

I have a walking pad I use on days I can’t make the gym or don’t feel like the gym. It’s been brilliant. Put something on the telly for an hour and off I go 😊

needtolose70lb · 30/07/2025 09:12

I CAN SEE A 12!!!!!!! OMG OMG OMG

im actually a bit tearful. I haven’t seen a 12 in 18 years and that was after a very strict low-carb diet that took me just in to the 11s for a week before it all went wrong very quickly.

Jab day tomorrow but also holiday starts tomorrow so to see that number (12st 13.9 so squeaked in to the 12s but I will take it 😝) before I go is absolutely immense. I am away nearly 3 weeks and to a very foodie destination so expecting to put on a few pounds but that’s ok. I’m in this for the long haul and the fact I’ve seen this number today gives me even more incentive not to go crazy on holiday and to know that I CAN do this.

it’s actually unreal and i can’t tell anyone else but you lot and my dh!

SW 17st 4lb (28 feb2025)
TW was 12st 4lb but want to see an 11
CW 12st 13.9!!!!!

LilyLondon · 30/07/2025 09:37

@BeaTwix I know what you mean about accidentally eating something that doesn’t hit the spot and feeling like it was calories wasted - ugh! Just try to remember that 414kcal is not that much in the grand scheme of things, the important bit is to not let it be the beginning of a spiral.

I have a deep respect for you and everyone who has started from a very high BMI - the road is long and requires SO MUCH mental strength. I can only imagine how it discouraging is must feel at times. We’re all here for support, even those now in maintenance! This time next year we’ll still be sticking around as the journey never really ends..

Regarding the lack of comments - I want to believe that this is just society getting better at minding their own business when it comes to other people’s bodies. I’m down to a healthy BMI now and not a single person (other than my immediate family) has commented. It’s not possible they haven’t noticed 😜 so maybe they’ve just learnt to be polite 😬

LilyLondon · 30/07/2025 09:43

Oh, and my update lol- 4 days after being away on holidays I’m back to my previous (lowest) weight. It’s unreal how the WLIs are letting me enjoy my life now. The mental anguish of coming back from any trips bloated & at least 2kg+ heavier is completely gone. And I have not restricted myself with food at all, just ate what I fancied in quantities that felt good in my body. Bloody magic

TheBossOfMe · 30/07/2025 09:46

Brilliant progress, everyone - @needtolose70lb congratulations on the new number on the scales. @TryingMJ hope it's a wonderful birthday break, you've made such amazing progress, 4st is incredible.

Had a huge dinner out last night, lovely food, and I can definitely feel that I'm having to rely on willpower now and not on MJ so much. So I ate well, really enjoyed everything I ate, but didn't pig out too much, made sure most of what I ate was protein and vegetables, so scales holding steady, in spite of quite a lot of wine!

SharpOpalNewt · 30/07/2025 09:49

I'm still a bit stuck on 11st 8lbs/9lbs but as BMI 24 is only a couple of pounds away I'm not worrying about it too much and just trying a bit of variable calorie eating.

In clothes now I'm just ordering size 10s, casually, without a backward glance, and they always fit, in spite of my sometime holding them up and thinking they are small, and I have to keep reminding myself how amazing I'd have found that in February when some size 14s were getting tight.

I bought a couple of slightly sexy chemise nighties - none of your crotchless/see through affairs but really pretty, I think. Watch out DH 😅

One was very similar to this but from Lovehoney 😆

https://justforyouboutique.co.uk/products/plain-teal-satin-and-lace-chemise?srsltid=AfmBOoqxI88Xw5dzZaEOfGnKJzFtG434miDMCigztWv7T7EKHZe6emn7

It's a lot shorter on me than on the model in the picture, just under my bum.

seasidehunter · 30/07/2025 10:06

Seems like most of my holiday gain (+5.5lb) was water weight/bloating. Have been home 5 days and am only 1lb heavier than the day we left. So, it seems 3 weeks in the USA including 2 missed doses wasn't too catastrophic.

I've taken 2.5mg this week as per instructions to 'start again' because I missed two doses and I've been ravenous - more hungry than I was when I was on holiday with no MJ! I want 'good' food though - nothing rich, spicy, fatty, creamy... I've been glad to get home and away from all of that!

I think the instructions are that I should stay on 2.5mg for a month but I really can't see that working. I was only on 5mg anyway so I will probably go up to 3.75mg for a couple of weeks before going back onto 5mg.

Ingangoolie · 30/07/2025 10:39

Congratulations @TryingMJ @BeaTwix @seasidehunter @needtolose70lb just keep swimming, just keep swimming

Puddingpiper · 30/07/2025 10:48

@BeaTwixyour progress is amazing regarding people not saying anything I agree with you I think society in general has improved on not commenting on people’s weight. That said I have noticed more people commenting that I look well recently which is think is the 2025 version of ‘wow you are less fat than you were.’ I’d like to say it is the improved skincare routine I have been following but in reality I think it is the Botox and 3 stone weight loss!

Also I’m very impressed you do Pilates! A studio has just opened up near us and I’m trying to find the bravery to go there. I have noticed changed my exercise routine at all since starting MJ and really need to!

Everything contains milk even some red wine as they use it for filtering. As a fellow lactose intolerant you have my sympathies - I do feel better for just accepting it recently and giving in trying to consume dairy hopefully you reintroduction goes smoothly xx

Hello all, I've been awol a while, and in all honesty, fucking about. Still jabbing, but fallen back into bad wine habits, and not keeping up with the chat here. I've got a lot of stress going on but its no excuse. I need to stop the wine (again) and knuckle down. I gained 2lbs last week after losses of 2.5 and 3lbs the previous 2 weeks.

Im currently taking 50 clicks of 7.5mg - 2nd dose of that today. I have def had an upset tummy but equally food hasn't been ideal. So jabbed this morning, several days late and aiming for a better week.

I hear you. I've not seen any major loss recently just the same couple of pounds so I too am knuckling down. I went up to 7.5mg last Sat and this Sat I will start a new pen of 7.5mg. I gave myself six weeks to see where I could get to as only 13lbs to goal. Need to get my 💩 sorted though as still not happening. Trying prune juice next. Good luck x

TheBossOfMe · 31/07/2025 09:49

@Puddingpiper”You look well” is very definitely the 2025 version of “have you lost a lot of weight”.
