Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

Morning all, I eat steak and eggs as well. Not lamb though as quite fatty.

Had a reminder yesterday and overnight that if you eat well but too much then you feel a bit queasy 😆. Did a 5 mile walk yesterday and had a really good dinner, all really nutritional stuff but had a bit too much yoghurt for pudding and well I felt like the vicar of Dibley after those Christmas dinners.

Made me adamant that I don't want to take this longer than I have to as I've seen maintenance chat when they say eat more on it to stop losing but I just can't physically fit anything else in. I eat 1200 calories as I'm 5'2 and still on 2.5mg. TDEE is about 1600 but I wouldn't be able to get there. Sigh.

TheBossOfMe · 25/07/2025 11:10

Morning all, really fab to see so many great weigh ins and NSVs, especially the health/fitness related ones. And good to see so many people enjoying their holidays and finding it easy to either continue to lose, maintain, or shift any gains rapidly.

I seem to have run into a problem that I wasn't anticipating - I've dropped more weight than I wanted to 😂Currently sitting at 3.2lb below goal, when 2lb was my acceptable range. Jab day today and I think I'll move down now, probably from 5mg to 3.75mg for a couple of weeks and then down to 2.5mg after that. I'm eating really well, it's just been a really busy work week and meals have been a bit grab and go, with not a lot of food that I've actually fancied eating (loads of curled sandwiches on buffets, which is never that appealing). I have a nice social weekend planned, so the weight will probably course correct and I'll be back in a nice healthy range. But who knew at the start of this journey that I'd be worrying about losing too much!

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 26/07/2025 06:18

It was weigh in day for me yesterday.

I did not post because I am quite frankly so pissed off and down, you guessed it I am still having a stall. I have looked over my weight loss since May and I have lost 5lbs in 9 weeks. This is 5 weeks of losing nothing and I mean nothing it would seem that my body is getting used to my new weight. This is my mantra so that I keep going. I have upped my exercise I have done 19k steps daily and upped my water intake to 3-4 litres a day, I am also eating lots of protein and getting about 100g a day.

It’s so uplifting to read everyone losses and NSV. I know I was seen at the beginning as someone that did not have much weight to shift but I am certainly in this for the long haul to get to where I want to be.

SW 13st 4lbs
CW 9st 13lbs same as last week.
TW 9st

I eat normal most days now just very small portions

From my plate I focus on eating protein first then veg and lastly carbs but have stopped the meal planning based on that

just like you I got bored of eating the same every day and just decided to eat what family eats also has reduced my shopping bill

I have eaten steaks eggs carbs occasional takeaway and not reacted in any form from eating any specific foods (I’m on 10 mg)

I'm the same and still eat everything. I need this to be something I stick to long term so nothing is off limits but just small portions of less healthy stuff. I've learned that if I eat too much greasy or heavy food I tend to feel awful so I think I'm naturally making that an occasional thing and only having a bit.

I'm on holiday with DDs at the moment and we'll be going for ice cream today. I'll definitely join in, but just have one scoop in a tub rather than a huge cone with multiple flavours that I've had previously. I've been ordering a kids meal the couple of times we've had fish and chips and it's been more than enough.

I probably am very guilty of not focusing on the nutritional content of my meals enough. I tend to just have what I fancy which is often now the healthier option but I don't track how much protein or calories I'm eating. I think it's working for me. It definitely is in terms of weight loss and we'll see how it goes for maintenance (but I'm still a stone or so away from goal so not there yet.)

Another one here eating the same but far far smaller portions. I estimate I eat a third of the portion size I used too. I think the reason why things like SW etc hasn't worked for me is partly I don't have space in my head for working out what I can and can't eat eg I found on SW that I couldn't have a family meal of curry for example as I would use a jar of sauce and it was too many syns and my kids wouldn't eat homemade sauce so I was always cooking something separate for me and it just messes with my head plus coupled with the raging food noise etc. MJ is just so easy I can eat whatever I want just very small portion and I find myself naturally being drawn to healthier options anyway.

Yesterday I met a friend for tea and cake and I had a slice of cake, had about half and felt satisfied. MJ is an absolute game changer.

On that note I'm delighted to have lost 3 pounds this week since I went up to 5.83mg and that's also brings me to just over 2 stone lost. I did 6.25 yesterday. Have a new 7.5 pen in the fridge ready to go up next week but I may do another 6.25 as I'm trying to stay as low as I can for as long as I can.

Here's my numbers

Height 5 foot
SW 21st march 14-7
CW 12-6!!
Goal weight 11-7 then will review

TheBossOfMe · 26/07/2025 09:33

@Fatmumslim01 @GameOfJones @Bipaloss Another one here who has just shrunk portion sizes rather than eating different food - which I think has made maintenance a bit easier, just increased portion sizes slowly to get to new TDEE. I'm too fond of really nice food to eat diet food, that never works for me.

Continuing to lose in spite of what was a fairly calorie dense dinner. I might need to carb load this weekend 😂

RuthEvershedforPM · 26/07/2025 11:17

Shrunk portion size here too - was in the pub with a pal last night and ate a burger - without the bun and then couldn’t finish my beer! pathetic! I don’t like diet food either but I am trying to pay more attention to protein

in nice news got my fastest parkrun since 2019 and best age grading. It should be so much easier now 20kg lighter but it still feels bloody hard - very much a plodder

happy weekend all

Flamethrowers · 26/07/2025 11:28

Hi all - hope you’re well. Non Mounjaro related stress this last month so I’ve avoided any chat. I’ve also stopped exercising as hard and stopped my routine of protein added shakes etc. I’m still loosing weight if very slowly. Five pounds in a many weeks and today I’m at my goal bmi of 23. Still on 2.5mg dose and last few shots have injected late (this week three days late). I’ve asked about maintenance. I feel so much better and it’s lovely not to feel like a seal flubbibg through the world. My thyroid has stabilised I still don’t snore.
my goal is 9.7 pounds which is two pounds less and then hopefully maintenance for two more months - either 2.5 every two weeks or 1.25 a week though I won’t get that prescribed… I hope you are all well x

TheBossOfMe · 26/07/2025 11:54

Well done @RuthEvershedforPM - am also a Parkrun plodder, always back of the running pack 😂

@Flamethrowers - well done on getting to goal, that's brilliant news!

RuthEvershedforPM · 26/07/2025 11:59

Congratulations @Flamethrowers - though sorry to read about the stress

LilyLondon · 26/07/2025 12:04

Morning all,
Happy to read all about the amazing wins, both losses & NSVs. Selfishly, I’m so happy to read about everyone who’s lost their vacation gains, as I’m boarding the airplane back from Spain where I have not had the scales with me… 🫠

To be honest though, I’ve enjoyed all the chocolate I wanted, drank gallons of fresh orange juice, and I’m not really feeling/looking bigger than when I arrived. My clothes are well loose so I think this helps. I still want to loose around 6-7lbs to have a bit of a buffer but I’m already at a very comfortable weight so looks-wise this was the best vacation I remember.

A massive NSV is I even posted a swimsuit photo on instagram! (First one since having kids!)

seasidehunter · 26/07/2025 12:37

Back from 3 weeks away in the USA. Did a dose of MJ on the day we left and have skipped 2 doses since. Have gained 5.5lb, so back up to 11st 1.5lb. Found it hard the first week when I still had a full dose of MJ in my system - the food is so rich and had a bad reaction to a creamy pasta sauce one night. I got very bored of salad in that first week! But once the levels of MJ reduced then I could enjoy the rich/spicy food a lot more - which was always the plan - to enjoy the holiday! Been to parkrun this morning and will start again with 2.5mg tonight…

RuthEvershedforPM · 26/07/2025 12:55

What a lovely NSV @LilyLondon and glad it was a good holiday @seasidehunter

Chilldrill · 26/07/2025 13:30

Well I'm really envious of all you Park runners! Well done! Ive had bad knees for so long I've never even thought of trying, plus my autism means I think I'd struggle with the social interactions lol. I do walk my dog a fair bit, we have lovely walks round about so I can go for a long walk every day.
I'm 9 7 now and I have to think about going forward, this is the bit I'm finding difficult, the way mounjaro works, i.e on insulin resistance never really entered my head when I started taking it, I just thought it will stop me eating I'll lose weight the end, I'm now realising it's much more complicated than that.
I also like the fact its seemed to have calmed my brain, again something I never thought of when starting, I'm trying to get my head around when I stop, these effects will too, I also want to eat to stop getting insulin spikes, so I guess that means some sort of keto. I changed my jab day from Thursday to Sunday, so last night was picky tea night in our house, I was sooooo hungry and wanted bread, but I know going forward that bread isn't the way. So proud I managed to resist the bread, and fill up on protein, but we had mussels, and previously that garlicky juice would have been mopped up with crusty bread and butter. I do have some pens left in the fridge that I'm going to have to curate for coming off but it ain't gonna be fun. Happy weekend everyone.

Well I don’t think 5.5 in 3 weeks in the USA is bad at all!! Especially as you say their food is rich, even the salads are always heavily dressed unless you ask for it on side. It’ll fall right back off now you are at home again. Hope you had an amazing time we go back to the US in 5 weeks and I won’t be jabbing the week before because I want to enjoy it and also I don’t want to risk adverse effects with my stomach etc 😂

TheBossOfMe · 26/07/2025 14:14

@seasidehunter 5.5lb after 3 weeks in the US is amazing, that's a real result IMO

soupforbrains · 26/07/2025 19:54

Hello everyone!

I have returned from my Greek Odyssey. It was fabulous and I am bronzed, relaxed, happy and have read 6 books.

I am also 3lbs heavier than when I went away but I’m fine with that. 15 days in 5* all inclusive with 8 restaurant options was never likely to lead to weight loss. And additionally, there was a spectacular gin bar with an amazing bartender who was a whizz.

I haven’t caught up but I hope everyone is doing well.

any highlights I should be on top of?

TheBossOfMe · 26/07/2025 22:20

@soupforbrains- That’s a brilliant holiday result, well done. I’m feel very buoyed up reading everything people are posting about very low gains and quick losses on/post holiday.

A few more people thinking about maintenance, lots of people not gaining much on holiday even when they have skipped jabs, it’s all good news. We’re rewiring our brains as well as our stomachs and taste buds.

Welcome home :)

Ingangoolie · 27/07/2025 08:18

@soupforbrains oh did you go on holiday? You didn’t mention that. Sounds fabulous.

It is interesting and heartening hearing how we are managing to have a life and continue with this journey.

I’m back from a beach week, a lot more carby and have maintained, likely as loads of walking & swimming so that’s a win.
week 20
SW 13st 3lb
CW 10st 9lb
GW 9st 7lb

Bipaloss · 27/07/2025 09:19

hello weigh in day week 19

this week lost 0.1 kg/0.22 lb 🫩 but TOTM was due to arrive yesterday and didn’t and deffo feel bloated

still 2lb from a 3st loss to go which I hope comes off with a whoosh next week 🤞🏻

97.2 kg /15.3 st (starting weight 18.1 st)

well done @Flamethrowers for reaching goal

Purplebeag · 27/07/2025 11:06

Another one for eating more or less normally but smaller portions...but with the exception that I am prioritising chicken and fish over say lamb/pork. Although I have to say when I was on holiday I enjoyed all of them 😀

I had a few weeks of very minimal losses, which was expected because I was on holiday, working away and busy at weekends but this week I've then had an unbelievable woosh - 6 pounds in a week. I guess coming back from holiday coinciding with finishing the TOTM was a woosh worthy combination. But either way I've officially hit the 4 stone loss, am super close to being in the 13s and am only half a stone away from no longer being obese.

I also had another NSV - yesterday I ran 5km without stopping which is crazy to me. Very slow (39 minutes) but I still feel amazing to have achieved this since starting c25k only 2 months ago!

I just started my 5th (I think that's right) 5mg pen and am feeling amazing

SW: 18 stone 3
CW: 14 stone 2

This is truly life changing

RuthEvershedforPM · 27/07/2025 14:12

Wowsers @Purplebeag what an achievement- whoosh and 5km - phenomenal effort

2025mj · 27/07/2025 15:26

Hello everyone!
Like a pp I am finding running much more easier 🥳 its incredible
I still haven't injected in about 15 days now, the weight is still coming off so I think I'm quite happy to maintain like this without going back down doses, I might even be able to save the money 😂

soupforbrains · 27/07/2025 19:01

@Ingangoolieit was incredible. I will post a pic or two. The places were stunningly beautiful and we had a wonderful time with just the lost incredible food ALL the time.

im already down 1lb of my gain today to I’m feeling pretty positive.
