Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.
Some of us are now hitting the 12 week mark, some of us are nearly at their goal, some halfway and some still have a way to go, but we are all losing even if it’s half a pound a week. We have all come so far and are making a difference to our health.

@TryForSpring sorry for the tag 🤦‍♀️

Chilldrill · 24/06/2025 07:54

Hi everyone, just to say I ordered a 10 on Friday from chemist 4 u, my bmi is below 25 now so I just took a punt on them prescribing, and thought why not as they had 30£ off. It's coming today and they were delightful, advice given and no probs. My original supplier your medical whilst being OK on price was terrible at delays and communications, but I stuck with them because I thought I had to. It's my birthday today and whilst I am not exactly cock ahoop at being nearly 60, at least this year I won't be a blob for the first time in a long time. I shall wear my new size 12 jeans, the best birthday present to me. Have a lovely day everyone, and well done to you all for your perseverance and tenacity, you've been amazing at giving me the push through, whilst reading all your incredible journeys.

Re Asda - they say a longer wait - I ordered on Thursday evening and it will be ready to pick up Tuesday afternoon

GameOfJones · 24/06/2025 09:17

@TryForSpring thank you for the suggestion! I have always jabbed in the stomach so changing site is a good idea even if for an experiment.

Back to normal routine today so I'm just planning out what I want to eat. I'm definitely going to have a protein shake and Tuesday dinners have to be easy and quick because of DDs' clubs so I'm going to do scrambled eggs I think.

I've also discovered I love frozen grapes for a sweet snack if I feel like I want one. They're a bit of a faff picking them all off the stalk but I've now got a big bag in the freezer that I can help myself to. There is something I really like about the texture of them once frozen.

TheBossOfMe · 24/06/2025 10:06

@GameOfJones I love frozen grapes, it's a texture thing for me as well.

I'm now a day past when I would have had my second split dose, and the hunger pangs are back again, but when they should be, before meals, and last night I didn't have the fullness post eating feeling, so guess I'm feeling the effects of titrating down in maintenance. Have started adding calories back in as well, but having to be really mindful - having to rely more on the brain and less on the MJ obviously starting now. It's going to be interesting to see if I've trained the brain enough over the last few months...

Puddingpiper · 24/06/2025 10:36

I have finally hit my 50% to target this morning and made it into the 14stone bracket for the first time in many many years. 15 kilos gone and 15 kilos to go.

for anyone struggling with the farmyard collagen still I have found my best way, mixed with orange juice as vitamin C help absorption and drunk out of a travel coffee cup so you cannot smell it. Partner and boy child have also bought some pre made ones from a brand called NXT nutrition apparently the blue one has no farmyard smell or taste.

Amjam2025 · 24/06/2025 10:47

Morning Everyone!

Happy Birthday @Chilldrill Hope you have a lovely day.

SW - 10st 10lb
CW - 8 st 13 (BMI just under 25)
GW - 8st 7lb but want to get to 8st 10lb first a s mini goal so that will be 2 stone off

Loss of 1lb this week, very slow progress overall last few weeks, but my eating habits are certainly no where near as mindful as they were in the first couple of months of MJ. I am definitely being mindless at times and just shovelling stuff in my mouth for the sake of it - im aware im doing it, but its more when I reflect back on the day rather than in the moment if you see what I mean. I definitely need to be more careful otherwise I will go straight back to original bad habits.

Anyway, I did my first split dose this week (2.5mg last Tues then 1.25mg on Fri) and it worked well in that I had no nasty SE, still didn't have huge amounts of suppression or fullness though so I still need to build my does up slowly. I'm so pleased to be in the 8 stone category, not seen it for a long time. Although im looking much slimmer, I still have a lot of fat to lose, particularly on my thighs and belly so need to keep going for now....slowly!

Temped to try the arm injection site @TryForSpring , i've always done stomach - which used to work brilliantly for me but i'm up for trying a new site if it might increase suppression....don't know why i think this but i feel its going to be more painful in the arm?!

Have a great day, keep going and well done :)

TheBossOfMe · 24/06/2025 11:01

@Chilldrill Happy birthday, hope it's a wonderful day in your new jeans!

Chilldrill · 24/06/2025 11:04

@Amjam2025 Thankyou! It's sooooo slow at the minute isn't it? Although for some weird reason I've lost 3 lb this week,?!?. Its been more like half or a pound, any way on we go! I was plagued by se a while ago and was going to stop but ploughed on largely because of this group of positive people. No one irl knows I'm doing this so it's been v good for me.

TryForSpring · 24/06/2025 11:18

Arm injection wasn't at all painful for me, @Amjam2025. I've had a couple of ouchy tummy ones.

TheBossOfMe · 24/06/2025 11:55

@Amjam2025 Congratulations on being in the 8s, that’s amazing! You’re so close to goal now!

I’ve only done arm twice but it didn’t hurt at all.

Yellowsubmarine55 · 24/06/2025 11:55

Happy birthday @Chilldrill - have a super day 🎉

Weigh in and jaberoo day for me and a loss of 2.6lb which is amazing so I'm firmly with a 12 in front of my weight ♥️. Total loss of 2 stone 5.8 lbs after 13 weeks so pretty fabulous.

Mini goal of another 8.2lbs to reach 3 stone and then another 7 to just be overweight - I've got this.

Never done my arm, not that flexible 🤣

Great to read about everyone's progress, it keeps me on track.

TheBossOfMe · 24/06/2025 12:05

@Puddingpiper Just tried your collagen tip and you’re right, that does solve the farmyard problem. Which is good because I’m about to run out of capsules but still have a nearly full tub of powder that I’ve been avoiding because of cow. So can use that up now. Well done on 50%, fab milestone.

@Yellowsubmarine55 Congrats on the firm 12!

Oops, lots to catch up on!

not sure who asked, but I had my call with oushk today. He was lovely, and absolutely fine for me to switch over - emailed me a code for the next three pens. Asked me for proof of id (drivers licence), photo of me and photo of last pen prescription.

but. I don’t know where to send all the info or order the pens!!

i will keep trying and let you know. I’ve asked to go down to 2.5 as well.

@Yetanotherusername2000 was this for maintenance with oushk? I'm a long way from maintenance but a girl can dream 😂 I've heard good things about oushk maintenance and also pharmolous.

Can I ask what BMI you are to switch?

It’s 23.4 at the moment - I’ve got two more doses in one 5mg pen left, and a whole 5mg pen in the fridge.
I’m going to go down to 3.75 until they’re gone and try to get to 2.5 maybe every 10/14 days?

I’ve had such good anti inflammatory benefits that I’m worried about stopping.

Me too re the anti inflammatory also the lack of snoring has been revolutionary

Yellowsubmarine55 · 24/06/2025 16:47

@Yetanotherusername2000 I would presume you have to create a customer account on their website and process a new order like a new customer and pop your code in at the end. I think there's space to add pictures of stuff as well.

If you get stuck, they're pretty responsive to email/WhatsApp queries.

@Yetanotherusername2000 @Flamethrowers the anti inflammatory properties have been amazing for me too, I've mentioned this on here before but I have adhesions wrapped around my colon from multiple csections and pelvic surgeries and the adhesions tug and pull and affect my mobility occasionally as it's so tight on my left side and also they cause bowel urgency but since MJ all that pain and bowel stuff has gone! Think I'll be on it for life in some form.

@Yetanotherusername2000 so with oushk do you not need to order a pen every month then if you are only dosing every 10-14 days do they not mind that? Which plan did you go for and how much are you paying?

I'm probably going to switch to a maintenance supplier around BMI 31 (currently 35.5) as I know BMI 31 is around my pre COVID, happy weight so I may decide to maintain there or I may carry on to a healthy weight not decided yet.

I'm probably going to go with oushk or pharmolous.

Has anyone on here used pharmolous?

seasidehunter · 24/06/2025 17:54

@Fatmumslim01 Ive just moved from Oushk to Pharmulous at a BMI of 25.5ish.

Oushk say you'll need to provide evidence of a recent prescription if you haven’t ordered from them in the last 6 weeks.

I moved because Oushk want everyone to have a weight verification video call (different from maintenance consultation) but it’s been poorly communicated (email newsletters don’t arrive and they send most communications via their FB group which I’m not prepared to join). Was happy to do the call once I found out about it, but it seems nigh impossible to book one anyway - only available in a very limited time window late afternoons and none available for months. I’m always racing around after teenagers late afternoon or at work and I can’t anticipate if I’ll be available months in advance. So I moved to pharmulous before I got under BMI 25 with a view to staying with them for maintenance. Have only had one pen from them, but the communication over it was really simple and well organised. Online consultation one day, clinicians emailed me to ask for ID and weight verification info the next, pen arrived day after. Hopefully re-ordering will be just as simple.

Chilldrill · 24/06/2025 19:12

@Fatmumslim01 gosh that sounds painful, I agree that inflammation reduction has been remarkable, knees are less creaky, shoulders are not painful at night. Just to say I picked up my package from the post office earlier and when I opened it, it was in a cute little zip up cool bag with a cool pack, I was disproportionately delighted at the dinkiness of it. Ffs🤦😂, they also sent extra needles and wipes, which your medicals didn't, so tres happy, wish I'd swapped supplier earlier. Don't really know what their attitude to maintenance is, I didn't think about it because in reality I can't afford to keep on it forever, I dread the painful joints more than the weight coming back on I think, plus all the other effects like clarity of thought because I'm not dopamine seeking. Thankyou for my birthday wishes peeps xx

GameOfJones · 25/06/2025 08:05

Weigh and jab day today and I've lost 0.5lb which I'm actually really pleased with considering my weekend away with work. I was expecting a gain so a small loss is brilliant!

I also tried jabbing in my thigh for the first time ever so we'll see if that makes any difference. I was too nervous to try my arm as it seemed an awkward position 🤣.

SW: 14st

CW: 11st 10lbs

So 32lbs in 16 weeks which is brilliant.

tryingtobesogood · 25/06/2025 08:18

Well done @GameOfJones

had a cheeky Wednesday weigh-in. I’ve lost the 2lb I put on over my holiday and I’m focused on moving down to the next stone. I am going back to where I used to work at the beginning of August, I’d like my weight loss to be noticeable by then.

I’ve been happy with not tracking calories etc, but think I will be more ‘diet’ for a while, see if it makes a difference. I’m hoping to lose 9lb in 5 weeks.

im also going to up my exercise. I did so much walking on holiday and feel better for it, would be a shame not to build on that. I’m thinking about C25K, starting tonight. Ok, putting it out there: I will do C25K from tonight. 😱
