Me three! same weight as last week . I haven’t been terrible but I have had something sweet every day this past week , and actions have consequences . It’s my birthday tomorrow. I have asked for salad nicoise for tea, and there will be a small cake but Monday will be back to basics . I’m not spending all this money to dick about.

gimmemounjaro · 05/07/2025 11:37

Amen to that Zebra 😂

GiveMeWordGames · 05/07/2025 12:01

Joining in the general frustration, I'm also where I was last week, between 14st 12 and 13. Been bouncing around the same silly pound all week. Too much lunchtime bread yesterday and Thursday thanks to corporate catering sandwich provision. BUT I resisted the accompanying cakes and chose the fruit skewers instead so I was pleased with myself about that at least.

Having just finished my third 5mg I'm pondering a move up to 7.5 My appointment for new pen is on Monday so I'll see how I feel then and what the pharmacist thinks.

alltablenochair · 05/07/2025 12:26

This is what I have lost so far (30kg). I couldn't even pick the 12kg kettlebell up! DH put it in my lap for me and it def. made me think that I have lost double that and some more

3lbs off this week, breaking my month-long stall and bringing me to a nice round 9 stone loss from my heaviest. I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that I've lost a whole person.

I love the leg pics @InfoSecInTheCity and @RobinEllacotStrike. I've been for a consultation to get my severe varicose veins zapped and am hoping to get them done at the end of the summer, so I'll join you in shorts next year!

As @Crikeyalmighty says you deserve a slimming world cover for that loss!

Tried to get ChatGPT to mock one up for you but I ran out of image creation allowance before it would make it a little bit more feminine! I have to wait 720hrs before I am allowed to improve it 🙈 but you'll get the sentiment!

A huge well done on your milestone! 💗

That cover is brilliant @wingsand you deserve one yourself for 8 stone loss.

Incredible.

these threads are fantastic and as we hit our 12 month ish anniversary it’s amazing to see these massive life changing losses now.

well done wonderful women!

I sent a friend in nz a link to this thread. They have made WeGovy available in nz at long last and thinking of trying it. But she was lamenting the lacy of support from doctors etc. I told her how we roll & how we share knowledge & support each other. It’s really a great community. X

MooBaggage · 05/07/2025 13:47

@WeAllHaveWings Amazing!! Brilliant loss and such a lovely milestone 😍😍

Is it terrible that it heartens me to see that some of your weigh ins are 0lbs - not because I don't want you to lose..! Just makes me see that it's OK to have some 0lb weeks - the drug and our hard work and consistency will keep things moving.

Am in such awe of the longer term people on here - you're paving the way for us in such a brilliant way - thank you ❤

We all have 0lb weeks @MooBaggageand weeks in the ‘plus 0lbs’ ranges, what I’ve found brilliant about MJ is that instead of those weeks making me eat cake to feel better I can just shrug, feel a bit annoyed and continue on until the next week.

Hotflushesandchilblains · 05/07/2025 20:43

Ok @MooBaggage, fingers crossed for the whoosh!

@GiveMeWordGames - I have more appetite suppression on the 7.5 so far - lets see how that translates on weigh in day. Hope you get some good support on Monday.

WeAllHaveWings · 05/07/2025 20:57

@MooBaggageI think I have a little less than my fair share of 0lb/gain weeks as being post menopause I don’t have monthly hormonal changes and the fluctuations around them to contend with anymore. Patience and focus on the bigger picture and downward trend is the way to go, graphs are great for visualising.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 05/07/2025 22:01

OMG @WeAllHaveWings that is my favourite thing I have ever ever seen on MN. Thank you!!! 🦖

GiveMeWordGames · 06/07/2025 08:13

@WeAllHaveWings that cover is marvelous!! And well done on your amazing losses you and @InfoSecInTheCity Your chart does make me feel better, seeing the odd 0 loss or slight gain weeks.

Darlinghag · 06/07/2025 12:01

Happy Sunday all!

Last week I had a gain on Sunday; this week, I’m down 2lbs, which takes me to 13st 10.1lbs. I’ve gone down a BMI point to 34.

I’ve been a little lower through the week, but sure that will show up next week.

I’ve made it an entire week without syrup in my coffee or crisps!! I’ve had sweet treats, but in significantly reduced numbers, and overall snacking is almost non existent. My calories are definitely mostly my meals!!

I’ve enjoyed being a bit more creative with my meals this week, and spending time enjoying them.

I’ve also found MJ much more effective this week, although my mileage varies frequently - so I’m not putting it down to my sugar consumption yet.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

InfoSecInTheCity · 06/07/2025 12:07

Well done great loss @Darlinghag

I’ve been really enjoying shredded chicken done in my slow cooker. The last batch was chicken breast, peppers, mushrooms, onion, tomato puree and Nando’s BBQ seasoning. Cook it till tender then shred it up. I then stick it on the hob for 5-10 minutes just to cook off some of the liquid, the slow cooker pan is metal so can just go straight onto the hob without transferring to a different pan.

I have it with a salad of peppers, pickled beetroot, jalepenos, cherry tomatoes and some homegrown mixed salad leaves, all chopped up small like a salsa.

It’s really fresh and flavourful, good bit of heat and comes in at about 300 calories per portion.

Evenstar · 06/07/2025 13:09

I have had a couple of days in London this week, I didn’t eat much at all, took a few snacks as we had such a busy couple of days, we saw Lana Del Rey at Wembley on Friday night 🤩

I am not weighing for a few days as it was very hot, I have been a bit constipated and for the first time in a long time my ankles swelled up a bit.

Attached is a picture of me at Wembley in my new Oliver Bonas dress, I know it’s a looser fit but a size 16 🥰

@InfoSecInTheCity that does sound delicious!! I may have to nick your recipe if you don't mind?
I've gone from 99kg back up to 100 kg I'm not happy. I've been following a strict diet and have done some exercise at home! I don't understand, feeling very frustrated at the minute.
Congrats to all you've lost and for those of us who have gained or stayed the same I'm sure things will start happening, I suppose it's just a matter of time.

DBatteryBand · 06/07/2025 14:19

I had a ‘moment’ in the changing rooms in New Look today. I have been on MJ for 8 weeks and lost 2 stone, but don’t really feel my clothes are getting particularly loose or anything. Tried on a pair of size 18 trousers, without much hope…….and they fitted! I was astonished. Even 14 year old DD, who was with me, surfaced from her perpetual teenage gloom to do a brief spot of bouncing up and down with me. Amazing scenes.

MooBaggage · 06/07/2025 15:37

Yay for smaller trousers moments and lovely gingham dresses! 😍😍😍

About 2 weeks before I started MJ (in April this year) I ordered an xxl dress from Monsoon for the summer. When I started MJ I ordered the next size down. I’m wearing it today and it’s a little loose. It’s a flowy summer dress so still looks ok, but definitely loose around the top half.

I shall mostly be wafting around all day today 😊

I have (washed and) worn my wafts dress 3 days in a row to different events.

Side note, my dress is also gingham. It also has pockets. I love it.

Despite yesterdays shit day and the previous 2 weeks where I have been bobbing up and down the same 0.8kg, I had a surge overnight and lost 1.65kg. I had a nice lie in this morning and a good night sleep (wiped out from my daughter) and I think that has helped with the losses. I am now under 90kg and have dropped into the 13’s which is a real boost to my spirits.

off for a walk on the lovely Sutton Park with my weighted vest on. I wonder if I’ll see the wild ponies again today. Photo from last week

You’re not all that far from me. Which weighted vest do you have? I’ve been looking at a few on Amazon but I’m easily confused.

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 06/07/2025 17:58

@NotsosunnyShropshire
I stared with this 3kg one

Suzmei Weight Vest 6.5lb /3KG... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DKFR5VC4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

And now I’ve gone up to this 5kg one. but I’m only just trying it for the first time now to walk to the shops in

2.5kg 5kg 10kg Weight Vest for... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DW45W661?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

both fit me fine im a size 18. The second one is a bit tighter across the chest.
initially started at 3kg but figure I’ve lost over 9kg so I’m used to carrying a lot more than that around so thought I’d up it to 5kg. I’ll probably mix the two up for a bit as I get used to the heavier weight. You can get adjustable weights with some of them but I just started quite basic. I like the fact I can get a bit more exercise in doing the usual walk to school and it takes no extra time. But I’ve been trying to go for hour long walks round the park on Sat and Sunday too. Every little bit helps.

MooBaggage · 06/07/2025 19:09

I want a gingham dress now! <goes off to look on Vinted> 😁

Gosh you lot are all really impressive and inspirational! Loving the chat and pics

I've just ordered my second pen of 15mg and am hoping it'll start to kick my arse soon! I've lost very little since going up to 15 but the last month has included a holiday, several social events and a nasty fall so very little exercise. I'm going to try to revamp my diet a bit as I think I've got a bit in a rut, may steal your idea of pre-prepared food @InfoSecInTheCity. I made a big container of fruit salad last week and ate more fruit as a result which has to be a good thing.

I met an old colleague for a catch up the other day, he's a retired clinician. He was very complimentary about my weight loss and we had a really honest conversation about goal weights which has reinforced my view that the healthy BMI range is probably too low at my age. I'm aiming to lose about another half a stone and I need to build up some muscle which will be hard as I hate exercise. I can't believe I may be this close!

InfoSecInTheCity · 06/07/2025 21:00

Exciting @QueenOfHiraethto be so close to goal!

I definitely find that the more organised I am about having good options available the better I eat. If I rely on making good healthy meals at the point that I actually want to eat then I’m fooked because by the time I get to that point all I want to do is open the fridge door and grab the first thing that comes to hand. So if the first thing is a big tub of salad then that’s what I’ll eat. If there’s no salad then I end up with whatever else is available so I try to make sure I have boiled eggs, cottage cheese, beef jerky etc and I hide stuff like protein bars at the back of my cupboards so they’re available if I really want something approximating chocolate, but they’re not my ‘go to’ snack. By the way the Barebells protein bars are by far the best I’ve found, the raspberry and white chocolate one is actually really nice.
