Thread EIGHT - blimey we talk a lot! 😄 Anyone using weight loss injections to lose more than 5st/30lbs is very welcome, no matter what stage of the process you are no.

We're high on protein, low on carbs, upping the water and getting the fibre in any which way we can!

Please don't post discount codes as your post will be deleted - these need to go on the discount codes thread.

@MooBaggage right?? Don’t get my wrong, it was curated a very specific way! Nothing too light, lots of darker things, not just to minimise unwanted attention, but also because my body was so big sometimes I’d get dirty from squeezing past and into things!

Tops was a huge one!! Always had to be the right length to cover my apron belly! Dresses wherever I could.

I don’t like dresses anymore!! Maybe I only ever liked that they were more flattering on my size 28 body.

I’m happy in a wider leg jeans and a top that won’t go over my bum - I really have far less issue with people seeing my belly in my trousers a little.

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping NINE stone is incredible.
Many congratulations to you for your loss and thank you for being so consistantly wise, calm & knowledgable on these threads.
That truly is a magnificent achievement!

I was thinking the other day about Olympic womens boxing champ (under 50kg) Wu Yu. My goal if I am to hit "healthy" BMI is 50 kilos which is Wu Yu's fighting weight. I'm prepping myself, once I've lost the equivalent of Wu Yu, to imagine her chasing me around for the rest of my life making sure my lost weight doesn't find me again.

Crikeyalmighty · 04/07/2025 13:33

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping blimey if you were at slimming world you would be front cover on the mag!!

Darlinghag · 04/07/2025 14:15

9 stone is indeed one helluva loss!! Well done @VelociraptorsVelociRapping !! One whole smallish person!! 😂😂

@RobinEllacotStrike i was thinking 50kg was low but its actually not!! Just googled my idel weight at each bmi point between 18-25 and BMI 18 at my height is 46.08kg or 7st 3.6lb, which is almost bang on the weight I have already lost. Wild to think if I got there, which feels unfathomable, it would mean losing almost two thirds of my highest weight!!

i think i have normalised obesity so much that 7st something feels underweight when its really not!

Great imagery and imagine having to piggyback her everywhere!

MabelSpan · 04/07/2025 14:23

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping 9st is quite simply incredible. Well done.
How do you feel having achieved such an amazing loss?
Does your brain see the new you as you? (Not sure that makes sense but I hope you know what I mean)

If I get to my goal I will have lost 8 and a half stone, but I currently have 3 and a half to go so a long road still ahead for me. You are just the inspiration I need! Thank you for sharing with us all.😊

MooBaggage · 04/07/2025 07:37

I've weighed and have stayed the same this week - only the 2nd week I've stayed the same since starting on MJ, which in itself is 😮. So, will keep on keeping on and be thankful that I've got rid of what I've got rid of!

13.1.25 SW 20st 3lbs. BMI 43
6.7.25 CW 16st 7lbs BMI 35.1

A couple of NSVs yesterday though - I went to see Stevie Wonder at Lytham Festival, which was effing amazing and:

  1. Dp's raincoat fits me - done up and everything, whereas 2 years ago when I bought it, it was way too small and I couldn't do it up.
  1. I stood in a field for 8 hours and my back didn't hurt and my plantar fasciitis no longer exists so I feel fine today (other than absolutely knackered!)

💪💪💪

Are you still in that area as I am there too! Could catch up for a coffee (no cake!) if you are

RobinEllacotStrike · 04/07/2025 14:52

"i think i have normalised obesity so much that 7st something feels underweight when its really not!"

@Darlinghag you've made some provocative & interesting points touching on things I am also thinking about. I'm so busy at work today, but I hope to have time to come back & explore this more at some point soon.

Busy weekend ahead - party in London tomorrow & I'm going in full throttle, in a gorgeous dress, red lippy, tequila etc. There will dancing in the garden.

Sober dancing time again tonight!

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 04/07/2025 15:57

Thank you for your lovely comments. @MabelSpan that's a good question. I think on some level I never fully accepted or processed how big I was. Lots of you know that I am adjusting to single life after STBXH left last year and I have rediscovered lots of interests that I allowed to diminish during my marriage. I feel like rediscovering my smaller body is part of all that.

Please can I also give @Crikeyalmighty a MASSIVE VIRTUAL SNOG OF THANKS for the suggestion of sourcing full-fat Longley Farm cottage cheese in Poundland? I would never in a million years have thought of looking there but sure enough, they had plain and chive. Did I buy ten pots in one transaction? Yes I did. Was it worth the funny looks? You bet it was!

nailslikeknives · 04/07/2025 16:11

Wow, incredible losses ladies! Congratulations for yourselves and thank you for the inspiration.
It’s interesting what you say about appearance. I have been very much in the ‘keep a low profile’ group, but recently I went into SpaceNK for the first time ever and bought several bits that I love using. I wouldn’t have gone in before, I’d have thought there’s no point in trying that much.

Crikeyalmighty · 04/07/2025 16:45

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping. Ha - a total pleasure, I buy 7 every week - 4 for me, 3 for H !! And yes I do get weird looks too!!! I love the chive one in particular but like both - honestly I exist on Longley farm and Fage Greek yoghurt 5% - I couldn’t believe it when I first saw longkey f in Poundland - I had been looking everywhere and it’s cheap too - Ocado by the way sell it in even bigger pots - but obviously only handy if you use Ocado - my H spotted that by chance when perusing Ocado’s offerings.

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 04/07/2025 16:54

Utterly shit day. Absolute nightmare with my daughter who was supposed to be having an autism assessment today but had violent rages at us instead (so now we will need to pay additional money to cover the assessors wasted time). But on a positive note I went out to the shops by myself to clear my head and didn’t indulge in any treat food. In the past I would have binged on donuts/cake etc. still feel like shit but slightly pleased with myself for not falling off the wagon.

RobinEllacotStrike · 04/07/2025 17:22

the Fage 5% is the mutts nutts of greek yoghurt.

You can usually find me cleaning a supermarket out of pomegranates - I buy about 10 a week, sometimes more as the daughters now share my passion.

RobinEllacotStrike · 04/07/2025 17:24

sympathy for you @lifetheuniverseandeverything42 that sounds like a tough day.

Really powerful decision making in a time of pressure though - its great you didn't resort to old habits ⭐⭐⭐

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 04/07/2025 17:27

I'm so sorry that you had a tough day @lifetheuniverseandeverything42. Well done for making good choices. Flowers

Crikeyalmighty · 04/07/2025 21:07

@RobinEllacotStrike it really is - I buy 3 large tubs a week - honestly compared to others my very healthy diet is not cheap - however I’m not paying for mounjaro as no longer on it - what with Fage,Longley farm cottage cheese, fresh salmon, prawns, ramens, chicken breast , olives , M&S berries, J white vegetable juice,( delicious) good salad - my shopping bill is up!! I never snacked anyway so no savings to be had there

Crikeyalmighty · 04/07/2025 21:09

@RobinEllacotStrike the lovely till lady at Waitrose who I always seem to get always comments on my lovely healthy shop !!

Darlinghag · 04/07/2025 22:10

@RobinEllacotStrike hopefully not in a bad way!!

discovered a non scale victory - a weird one. I use sunbeds every couple of weeks (yes, i know!!!!) and i don’t have a thin white line at the base of my neck from my flab rolling up when i lay flat anymore 😂😂

Hotflushesandchilblains · 04/07/2025 22:22

I am disheartened, weight loss slowed right down, appetite ticked up, and in the last two weeks I have lost .5kg. But my new pen is 7.5 so hoping that will be enough to push me forward.

Still 102 kg.

QueenOfHiraeth · 04/07/2025 23:01

@MooBaggage I hope you weren't planning Lytham again tonight. All cancelled because the weather is vile here!

dimples76 · 05/07/2025 07:13

@lifetheuniverseandeverything42 that sounds like a lousy day but you handled it so well.

@VelociraptorsVelociRapping that is such an incredible loss, well done!

My week has not gone to plan as DD got sent home from school ill on Tuesday. She ended up being off all week and kindly shared her bug with me. So no gym visits, cancelled my personal trainer session, very little protein and vomiting and diarrhoea were the order of the week. We're both a lot improved now so hopefully next week will be better .....

I am worried how challenging the DC's 6.5 week hols might be in terms of fitting in my exercise. I do have weights at home though just probably need some heavier ones and I was thinking about getting an exercise bench- who is this person?!

lifetheuniverseandeverything42 · 05/07/2025 09:30

Despite yesterdays shit day and the previous 2 weeks where I have been bobbing up and down the same 0.8kg, I had a surge overnight and lost 1.65kg. I had a nice lie in this morning and a good night sleep (wiped out from my daughter) and I think that has helped with the losses. I am now under 90kg and have dropped into the 13’s which is a real boost to my spirits.

off for a walk on the lovely Sutton Park with my weighted vest on. I wonder if I’ll see the wild ponies again today. Photo from last week

I hear you! I'm in a mini plateau (weighed again this morning and still the same...) - feels most unjust when I'm eating and drinking the same way I have done on MJ for the past 5 months!

Am hoping we both get a nice whoosh in the next week or so - I've had this too, where suddenly a couple of lbs will disappear.

Nothing else to do but keep on keeping on...💪

gimmemounjaro · 05/07/2025 10:26

Me too! Currently the same weight I was on 8 June 🤦‍♀️
But I have made progress in terms of fitness so that’s good. This month my focus is going to be on consistency as things have been a bit up and down lately. And maybe lowering carbs a bit as I’ve maybe been enjoying the sourdough a bit too much!
