Roll up, roll up...thread 3 for the loveliest bunch of losers!

"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

Lots of love,
Lass x

Hi all. Took my last 2.5mg jab on Wed - 5 days later than usual due to my GA in hospital.

The hunger didn't fully come back but was excited to start again.

Happy to have lost another 2lbs this week despite the gap and now weighing in at 10stone 6lbs. Haven't been this weight in a decade!

Have ordered some needles as I plan to try and get another 1mg golden dose out of my 2.5 pen which should see me through to next Friday when I jump to 3.75mg.

AlicesMum2025 · 20/06/2025 13:09

Week 7 weigh in today, jab 8 last night of 3.75mg.

Lost 0.9kg (2lb) this week, putting my total loss at 10.5kg (1st 9.5lbs). I've now lost 4.2 points off my BMI.

My first interim goal of 10% of my body weight is 4.5kg away (10lbs) and Nutracheck predicts I'll hit that at the end of July 🎉.

I think the weight has mostly come off the top of my B belly, and in general my belly feels squidgy instead of solid, like it did before. I've also noticed the stretch marks on my stomach and boobs are more prominent so that must be where I'm deflating.

An NSV this week came when I was putting on suncream. I have these bony bits around my neck which I vaguely recall are called collar bones! I can't see them in the mirror yet but they are definitely emerging 😁

AlicesMum2025 · 20/06/2025 13:16

I've just ordered another 5mg pen but am planning to stick to 3.75mg for now. I would still like a bit more suppression but I don't want to get to where I feel like I can't eat at all.

And yes, it's a bit early to order another pen when I've only done 2 jabs from my 5mg (I did the bonus dose from the 2.5mg pen), but Chemist 4U were offering them for £99 and I didn't want to miss the deal.

I was happy ordering from IQ Doctor previously, and almost couldn't be arsed doing new photos etc to move supplier, but IQ Doctor charge £4.99 postage on top of their higher price (£122-ish) whereas Chemist 4U it's free.

I ordered at 11:30pm yesterday and received shipping confirmation at 11am this morning so, so far, I'm impressed (to be fair though, IQ Doctor are quick too - I went from order to shipping confirmation in 8 minutes on my last order!)

Hello everyone!

I've been AWOL for a little while.

The good news is we bought DDog home on Tuesday and surprisingly she seems to be doing okay!

I've got to take her to our normal vets this afternoon to have some clips removed.

I took her out for a small walk around our local woods early this morning and then we met my friend for breakfast. I shared an ice cream with her and then we went to Pets a Home where she got a new toy and some treats. She has been fussed over by everyone. I've then come home and filled up the paddling pool and she had a little splash about. I've learnt how to manage her ports, for when she requires draining. She's honestly been a star and her weight has remained the same- even less actually since bringing her home. Hopefully the production of fluid building up has slowed down.

I'm down to 109.6kg. Its been a bit of a weird week food wise and I've had sulphur burps on/off. I've ordered some pepto bismol capsules online, so hopefully they should help.

It's my official weigh day tomorrow and I'm due my first 5mg jab tonight.

All the best!

OhPolly · 20/06/2025 13:37

A little splash in the paddling pool! (She didn't get that wet)

So glad to know DDog is doing ok. That happy face looks like a lot of fun was had having a little splash, @OhPolly

I have had an odd experience with Chemist4U, ordered 3 pens very early yesterday morning as have to go away for a bit, and had to do it over 2 orders. The order I did 2nd arrived today, but the one I ordered first is still in transit to the local delivery office. This causes a bit of an issue, as unless it is delivered very early tomorrow morning, chances are it's going to be exposed to temps over 30 degrees, and we have to go out at 11am (Our postie rarely reaches us before midday) so it's going to be on a van in external temp of 32+ degrees, then in the depot over the weekend until Monday. Definitely not happy about that, given it is supposed to reach us at no more than 8 degrees. Have emailed them, hopefully it was suitably snotty that they'll agree to replace them if they don't arrive tomorrow before we go out, as they should have got here at the same time as the other pen did.

U53rn8m3ch8ng3 · 20/06/2025 14:27

Well, 7th jab due tomorrow I stayed on 2.5mg. Early weigh in today of 10stone 8. Starting weight 12stone 2 so I'm pretty pleased 😊

notgonnafail · 20/06/2025 15:04

Just had a reply, trying to fob me off with 'our packaging is fine for 48 hours and designed to withstand some temperature instability, and is safe to use out of the fridge for 30 days' Grrrr! That completely ignored Eli Lilly saying it isn't safe if it reaches temps over 30 degrees, as it will be outside of 48hrs if not delivered first thing in the morning and where I live is predicted to be at least 32 tomorrow!

However, they may have got off lightly this time as I received a txt just as I was writing this saying they will be delivering this evening! Don't think I can remember ever having two Royal Mail deliveries in one day in my entire life - even back in the days when we were supposed to get 2nd post!

May well be looking for another supplier when I get through these pens though!

NowANanaxx · 20/06/2025 15:04

Hello guys I’m new on here 😁 👋
I started Mounjaro on 6th May. I buy from Asda Online and embarrassingly I’m doing this solo, I decided not to say to hubby and family as I didn’t want the added pressure and expectation of losing weight. I would like to loose about 5 stone 🥴 I’m looking forward to reading and sharing our journeys 🥰

notgonnafail · 20/06/2025 15:05

Welcome @NowANanaxx nice to have you with us!

RoaryMouth · 20/06/2025 15:06

That was my first week on 5mg and it was fine. Pretty tired on a Friday after injecting and feel like I’m waking with a hangover the next morning but quickly subsides. Lost 3lbs so that’s 16lbs altogether. 💪😃

Fatrosrhun · 20/06/2025 17:59

It’s exactly a month today since I started. I don’t usually do a midweek weigh in, but a sneaky peek shows I’ve just hit the first stone loss!🎉🎉

I also weighed my little dog, who weighs 18lbs - so that’s my next mini goal! She feels really heavy if I have to carry her for long, which is scary because I have been carrying five of her around as extra weight for the past year 😱!

SussexLass87 · 20/06/2025 18:15

Evening lovely losers

Checking in for Week 8...not sure how that happened! Have lost 2lbs this week - almost got rid of gain from last weekend (I'm still not over that one 🤣)

Week 1 - 4lbs
Week 2 - 2lbs
Week 3 - 2lbs
Week 4 - 0bls
Week 5 - 1lbs
Week 6 - 3lbs
Week 7 + 3lbs
Week 8 - 2lbs

SW: 16st 13lbs
CW: 16st 2lbs

11lbs off now...it's the military ball in 2 weeks which is my mini goal. When I last went to one in January I was in a size 16 dress, and I've had to replace it with the same one in a size 12!

It's a Jolie Moi one which is stretchy, hence the size 12, (I am NOT a size 12!) but hey...the numbers are going down.

Sending you all a load of love...thanks for keeping me focused on making changes and keeping positive ✨️ 💛 ✨️

Can I ask those of you who have been taking the golden dose if you have told your provider? I injected my 4th 2.5 yesterday and it looks like I have a dose and a bit left, so my plan is to take the larger dose next week and side effects permitting, to order a 5mg pen a week late. Would this be OK?

Fatrosrhun · 20/06/2025 18:24

No I didn’t tell the provider. I ordered the pen as per the plan, but it’s in the fridge waiting. I’m likely to change supplier in the future anyway.

PandyMoanyMum · 20/06/2025 18:36

Hello all,

@OhPolly and @SussexLass87 your DDogs are adorable. !

@Iggy35 i completely relate to what you said about your body deciding to show you who is boss! I was feeling quite pleased with loss so far - then mysteriously put on 2lb. I am taking heart from you others who have stalled or put in temporarily. And now counting calories strictly rather than just trying to eat healthily and smaller portions.
Started Mounjaro 4th May, 7 doses so far and will take 8th tomorrow. i’m 5’6”
SW 13’10
CW 12’9
GW 10 stone
So 15 pounds in about 7 weeks so just over 2lb a week. A plodder but going in the right direction 🤗

tostaky · 20/06/2025 18:54

Just got 3.27mg out of my 1st pen. Im down 5.6kg so far and very pleased!
@HereIGoOnceMore i also have a pen waiting for me in the fridge, i disnt say anything to my provider.

i would really love to be under the 90kg mark before the 5th of July as we are having my DP’s birthday party and id love to wear a pretty dress in the sun!

but for now it is fish and chips with one of my DC to cheer them up a bit… i might just let them have my chips!

Kbr22 · 20/06/2025 18:55

@Iggy35I’m also a slow loser. 6th jab today, 2nd on 5mg and I’ve only lost 4.3kg! So upset as I have been strictly counting calories. My daughter has challenged me to put the scales away, and stop obsessing with every calorie. I’m going to do it for 3 weeks until I see my Parmacist for my next pen as he will weigh me. I have lost 5cm from my waist 4 from my hips in 2 weeks so taking that as a win! Good luck everyone. I’m sat in the garden though with a glass of cold white wine as need a treat for the first time in 5 weeks!!!!

Fatrosrhun · 20/06/2025 18:56

Well, it’s 26 weeks until Xmas, and if you lost 2lbs a week until then you’d have lost another 3.5 stones. And I’d be very happy with that..

SussexLass87 · 20/06/2025 19:57

Oh that's a brilliant way of putting it - I really love countdowns like that - they help me focus and put things into perspective 🎄🎄

Kbr22 · 20/06/2025 20:03

OMG @Fatrosrhunthat is brilliant, even if I stick for a few weeks I would be be at my goal. I knew it would be long haul but that has put it into perspective 🥂

Lovecycling · 20/06/2025 20:04

Just taken 8th jab and my first at 5mg. Fingers crossed for minimal SEs. I’ve found the last 2 weeks at 3.75mg were ok but I was starting to eat crisps and chocolate again!
17.6lbs down in 7 weeks and I can see a pattern emerging. I lose 2-3lbs one week and then less than 1lb the next week, and so on. I’m trying to trust the process and seeing this pattern helps me to do that.
SW - 232.2
CW - 214.6

Next goal is to lose 4.6lbs to get to a BMI of 35.

Fatrosrhun · 20/06/2025 20:23

We’re going to need a new thread soon. I hate this name, I only made it to hide my pen usage from Mumsnet friends, so I will be under a new name on the next thread - Gingercar. (in case I post familiarly and you wonder who I am!).

Iggy35 · 20/06/2025 21:23

@PandyMoanyMum 15lbs in 7 weeks is brilliant. I often forget that without the injection it would take me 3+ months for any such loss so I'm just trying to focus on how far I've got (rather than where I could have been if...). We got this!
