"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

@Fatrosrhun i think if I was you I’d top up. I’ve just gone to 5 and wish I’d done it last week as much better suppression! I’m not worrying about the 30 days as long as it’s been in the fridge .

I wouldn’t have wanted to go back down to a smaller dose for the week at this point.

Yes I might top it up 1mg to make 5. Initially I was thinking of doing 3.75 as a midway between 2.5 and 5. But the lower doses don’t seem to be affecting me much. I wouldn’t go down to a smaller dose. If there’s less than 5 next week I’ll make it up from the new pen. Thanks for your help. It’s difficult to decide.

well done to everyone who is trying new dresses/leggings! I took out a few dressed of mine today and one is actually too big (good riddance, it was more like a potato bag!), one fits me well and the others are 3-4 kg away… not long… not long….

Good morning losers
Hope you are all managing this journey without too many SE’s and are having some losses along the way. I'm definitely almost certainly in the plodder category in the weight loss scheme of things. Another pound off this week - no big losses for me. Just a steady small way downwards. I’m still off the booze though and I’m worried about my holiday next week. We’re going with friends and one of them does like a drink and it will be noted that I’m not drinking (not sure I like the taste anymore). What does everyone else do re drinking on holiday if at all? I just don’t want to tell them I’m on MJ as I can’t be bothered with the questions and potential judgement.

Best of luck with the drinking, I’m a bit bothered about this too because we are going on an all inclusive in August and other than alcohol it’s all sugary fizzy drinks and fruit juices in the non alcoholic options and I don’t want any of it, think it will be water all week for me! Maybe you could say that you’ve been off alcohol for health reasons?

After the weight going up and then stalling I’ve lost about 5lb over the last week randomly and now I can officially say I have lost 1 stone! I feel like when I started 5mg my body went into panic mode and now it’s relaxing. I have also tried to eat a bit more this week like salads and avoid protein shakes/bars which have the sugar in. I out on a denim skirt and tight white vest top today and my youngest instantly noticed my waist! Off to get the legs waxed today as we are off to a local festival this weekend - we are staying there in a mobile home so hoping I eat well and not get drawn into the food vans 🤯

Morning all, hope everyone is getting on ok, struggling to keep up with the thread!

Week 4 update - 3lbs off this week which I’m shocked about as I was convinced it was a no change this week. Can’t believe first month is done, so close to that first stone being gone.

I’ve had a few NSVs as clothes feel looser and my cellulite on my legs has improved massively- probably because I’m necking so much water.

I’m staying on 2.5mg for month 2.

SW: 13st 7lb

W2: -3lb
W3: -2lb

Could you just say you're on a diet and want to save the calories for something else? If they start trying to convince you to have a drink, ask them if they have an alcohol problem. If you put on your concerned face and ask a few probing questions, they'll hopefully leave you alone.

Hiya - I haven't drunk for 8 years now and found it initially quite hard to explain to people.

But - I've found there's much more acceptance about people not drinking now. It's just a shame that diet coke is often the only sugar free option (apart from water!)

I used to say "Oh I'm taking a break from it" as I found if I offered up any further reasons people would just use it to try and persuade me. Mumsnet taught me that 🙂

Hi, I went on holiday and discovered I liked white wine spritzers! I got a glass of wine and filled it with sparkling water and it lasted a whole meal!! After loving my wine and never understanding why anyone would add water I now know. I still had a small weight loss whilst away. I do think we worry about other people to much though, I haven’t told anyone apart from my immediate family that I am on this wonderful journey, scared for the criticism. I am losing very slowly but I am losing!

I just used my last 'official' dose of my first pen - I got 13 clicks from it. My syringes are in transit atm, so I'll top up with some of what's left in a couple of days.

Recipe below, I swap out 10g of flour for 10g of vanilla whey protein powder which gives the pancakes a bit more protein and a really light vanilla flavour. I then don't use Maple syrup.

I usually make 6 small pancakes, but my partner made 4 larger ones today so I probably had around 650cals with toppings. Now I feel fat. I think I need to make them myself in future.

@lissie123 i have loads of friends who blame peri menopause for their recent distate in alcohol (could be for a different reason that they might not want to share with the group). Obv it depends on your age!!!

i find ive gone off diet coke and alcohol but im replacing it with kombucha (which i have always loved but a bit pricey) and small (instead of always going for large) glasses of cold white wine.
my friends are a bit puzzled im not eating as much or drinking as much but ive just said “i dont fancy it tonight” or i dont feel like it or im trying to be healthier and that seems to be enough.
my DP (also on MJ) is sometimes disappointed that im off red wine and food as he would like to share a bottle of wine and aome cheese with me like we used to do every friday…. But im like no thank you, just water is fine! He hasnt got the same suppression as me so it makes it a bit tricky…

Hi all, work has been manic so I haven't caught up until now.

W7d6 on 2.5mg 1 more lb down - I'm definitely not as repulsed by food as I was, but can still happily turn down food without feeling like I'm depriving myself of a treat.

Today I opened a packet of my favourite, sitting doing nothing watching telly snacks and put one delicious sea salt and balsamic vinegar crisp in my mouth, and wretched! They taste horrible 😫I tried a couple more and that was me put off food for the rest of the day! I even turned down s'mores over the fire, the kids were an equal amount of shocked and impressed at my refusal.😂

I injected my first 3.75 yesterday after 7 weeks on 2.5

i felt like I wasn’t noticing any effects any more. Suppression is definitely back today, and I’ve experiencing my first real SE (aside from constipation).
I never understood what sulphur burps were, I do now 🫣
will be buying peppermint capsules tomorrow as I read they help with them

Trying to work and fighting the urge to justify my breakfast to my mother all day. So much complicated batshittery about food / weight and self-worth in my family. Also her reply of 'oh I couldn't possibly eat all that' has gone through a continual upgrade cycle today and is now at:

'Oh noo I couldn't possibly eat all that, I had a dry bran flake yesterday and I'm positively stuffed, honestly'

@DidILeaveTheGasOn why did you send her the picture in the first place? It is almost an invitation to be rejected. I used to do that, but therapy helped me to change my ways and not to invite damaging behaviour from my mum… sending you hugs because it is a shitty place to be in… ignore, move on and share you next breakfast with us, we will appreciate it!! The pancakes looked amazing and very healthy too xx
