Roll up, roll up...thread 3 for the loveliest bunch of losers!

"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

Lots of love,
Lass x

@DidILeaveTheGasOn sorry to hear that your mum is unsupportive. I stopped talking to mine about food/weight/eating for similar reasons.

I think i might need to move up a dose/half a dose. I jabbed 2 days ago but the food noise has been very loud today and I'm have to admit that I had a small Mc Donald's while travelling earlier - eek!

It was quite moderate really (for me) a small milkshake and the meat from a hamburger. My own fault- i have had protein shakes which filled me up on a similar journey but I think the suppression was better then.

On the plus side, I have had NO side effects 😆😆

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 19/06/2025 17:21

Thank you guys. I don't feel like myself today, I wonder if it's because I'm due to jab tomorrow?

That’s not going to kill you once in a while. Don’t beat yourself up.

Fatrosrhun · 19/06/2025 17:39

We are going to the theatre again tonight. To see Romeo and Juliet, the ballet. I’m starting to dread it! The theatre was really hot last week, and that was à normal day. Plus it’s an hour away In motorway rush hour in a car with no air con. I will sweat off another stone!

Fatrosrhun · 19/06/2025 17:47

Gosh - I’ve just made a piece of white toast for my husband before we go and had to cut a little piece off to fit it in the toaster. It tasted really sweet! I’ve not had much bread this past month, and it’s been whole meal seeded.

Wondering if moving up to 5mg was a mistake. Struggling to eat my usual breakfast this morning, and it's only a small pot of Greek yoghurt and some berries. Nauseated for much of the day yesterday. Hopefully things will settle down.

How long have you been on 5MG?

Dominoeffecter · 19/06/2025 19:14

I couldn’t drink alcohol without very ill effects when I first moved to 5mg, I’m back able to now which I’m happy with 😂 I would never question someone else’s drink order though, so many reasons why someone might not be drinking.

Week 12 since my first ever jab (I had to stop in the first month and restarted). This week I've stayed the same :( Definitely going to go up 3.3mg on the next pen.

That was my first week. I'm now towards the end of week 2. I still had nausea for the first few days this week, but not as bad. The rest of the time I feel great.

I was the same at the beginning of 5mg and had the same thoughts too ☺️ one more jab until 7.5mg now!

7.5mg? Daredevil! I'm sticking at 5 for a bit longer.

Mounraine · 19/06/2025 20:19

Just caught my side profile in the mirror (something I don’t normally do) getting ready for a bath and feel like there’s sooo far to go. My tummy really sticks out and there are lumps and bumps everywhere.

Going to really concentrate on the positives of the jab, feeling full, not feeling hungry etc.

The side effects of 5mg wore off quite quickly for me and I’ve found nearing the end of the week (I jab on Sundays) I feel unreasonably hungry 😂

You’re doing so so well already! Just keep going, it will keep coming off don’t you worry.

Mounraine · 19/06/2025 21:13

Than you @AccidentalPrawnYouFool. This really is a marathon and sometimes it feels like other people are sprinting past me.

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 19/06/2025 21:17

You’ve lost so much already. It hasn’t even been that long yet. I get you’re impatience though, I am too! 😬

Leveluplou · 19/06/2025 21:18

I found you all! I missed the whole of thread 2, woops 😂 will try to catch up, how is everyone getting on? I'm down 1st 5lb since I started. Just taken my 6th injection, so slow and steady for me

BerfyTigot · 19/06/2025 21:25

@Fatrosrhun thanks for the reminder- completely true of course! Hope you're enjoying the theatre.

Fatrosrhun · 19/06/2025 22:27

Thank you. Just coming home. And they’d turned the air on on!😁

I feel exactly like this. I have lost just over a stone (almost 8 kgs) and no one would know. I look and feel exactly the same and sometimes doubt the scales. I should start measuring. I just feel it's a slow burn which is probably better, but feels depressing sometimes. I'm on week 7, almost 8th jab.

Definitely measure - I had a week or so of gaining or staying the same but the measurements were going down so it kept me motivated! I’ve lost 8cm around my waist

Cocotok · 20/06/2025 07:52

Would definitely recommend measuring, even during my week 3 stall I lost some inches which helped me avoid the head first in a cake spiral.

End of week 4 for me and another 4lb off. So that's round a stone in 4 weeks, I'm more than happy with that.

I got the 5th dose using an insulin needle and used that, easy enough.

Fatrosrhun · 20/06/2025 07:55

It’s hard, isn’t it. My second photo, a month after I started, makes me look bigger than before I started, despite a stone off! And you see all these advertisements where people have lost three stones in four months. But from looking at some of the threads that started a few months before us, it seems like slow and steady really is the norm. But at least the MJ keeps you from falling off the wagon, I guess, and it’s all going the right way…

Iggy35 · 20/06/2025 08:18

Morning all, amazing results everyone (even the small ones & NSVs everywhere)

I also joined the slow movers club.
Funnily enough, my weight loss has been slowing down since I've moved up to 5mg (but no side effects apart from little constipation and I have reasonable levels of suppression so I can enjoy life but don't need snacks outside of the 3 meals a day, so I'll take that)

I have lost 0.3kg or 0.6lbs this week which has annoyed me a little, but then, looking at the big picture, I'm down
9.1kg / 20.1 lbs / 1.43 st
..in 7 weeks.
This would never be possible without the injection so as long as it's going down I'm happy.

I also really want to get to minus 10kg, which will also put me under 100kg overall. I think that's why the slow down...my body knows how excited I'm about this landmark so it's showing me who is the boss 😅

Happy Friday everyone.

stripesdotsdashes · 20/06/2025 08:18

Weigh in day sand lost 0.5kg this week, steadily it's coming off! Lost 11lbs in total, at an average of 1.6lbs a week according to the Shotsy app, which I'm very happy about. A good pace to be losing.
Better yet the measurements show inches are being lost as well. 3 inches each off waist, bust, hips.
I've got 9lbs to hit 'normal' BMI and I think I'll stop as I'm pretty skint and dont want to lose loads. My % body fat is still way in the red though, that doesn't seem to shift!
Im on 3.75mg and have been moving my dose forward a day for the past 3 weeks to coincide with a 5 day holiday coming up to save me bringing pen.
