Roll up, roll up...thread 3 for the loveliest bunch of losers!

"Onwards & Downwards" has become our little motto for the days when it all feels a bit tough and that wine / chocolate / cake looks a bit too bloody tempting.

Lots of love,
Lass x

What's this? I'm off to the gym in my size 14 new-to-me-via-Vinted gym leggings. 14!!

I mean, they're leggings and stretchy so I know I'm not actually a 14...but I fit in them and can breathe so whoooooo!!!

My kids said "Mummy, your legs are funky"...love 'em!

Going to take it gently as I'm still a bit wobbly from whatever this weekend was.

Happy sunshiney Wednesday losers 🌸🌸

Can anyone recommend a fitbit / fitness tracker? I got a Fitbit inspire 2 from CEX and it's great, but it doesn't light up when pressed so it's fine for indoors, but on a bright sunny day outside I can't see any of the numbers on the display. I like to check my step count and consider if I can do a bit more, and change the route of my walk if my knee is doing okay.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 18/06/2025 11:38

@SussexLass87 OMG yesssssss!

How's everyone coping with fatigue? I've been absolutely exhausted this last couple weeks, like falling asleep at work exhausted

Also anyone stayed on 2.5mg? How was your suppression month 2? I've had reasonable suppression these last few weeks, it's slightly faded by week 4 but I'm worried if I increase I'll get worsened fatigue and not sure it's really necessary. I had a lot of nausea and appetite loss initially which has now settled so I'm worried that'll be worse again on 5mg, but I'm also worried if I stay on 2.5mg I'll waste money if the affects start to taper off.

Thinking of maybe upping to 3.75mg by counting clicks?

I had quite bad side effects on 2.5ml and tiredness like explaining, like can’t keep eyes open exhaustion. Very odd.
Though this last week I went up to 3.75ml (on a 2.5 pen still as have one still) and honestly I’ve oddly had less side effects and tiredness, very odd. Also had a better loss this week, so still working x

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 18/06/2025 11:53

I also have the fatigue. Weirdly felt much more energised on 2.5mg, got 5mg as next pen and am shattered! I am going to stay on 5mg for next time. Only have 10lbs to go until first target and consistently doing 1-2lb per week so hoping for only a few more months then drop it back to 2.5.

Fatrosrhun · 18/06/2025 12:14

I’ve had a twitchy eye for a week. Like you get when you’re tired. I have had a really busy fortnight though. But I’m sleeping so well. I’m not getting half as many hot episodes at night (menopausal).

I’m glad you’re feeling better! Love the leggings. In a 14! Woohoo!

I’m still really unwell. Not sure if it’s a bug or the MJ but still having awful diarrhoea - 5th day now and any food or drink just goes straight through.

Ive spoken to the gp who said just to ride it out and if it goes on longer than seven days they’ll do a test, but otherwise just to focus on staying hydrated. I’ve also spoken to my prescribing pharmacy for MJ - who have been brilliant- lots of advice & lots of sympathy - but she said to postpone the MJ next dose until I’m fully recovered and clear of any symptoms for 48 hours +

I really hope it’s not the MJ. I don’t want to stop taking it - but if it is the culprit. I can’t go on like this - currently on my third day off work! Too poorly to take the children to school etc… it’s been rubbish. 😔

Oh Woody - I'm so sorry. This sounds absolutely awful.

Glad to hear your GP and pharmacy are on it and being supportive...but, you sound so poorly 😕

Sending a gentle hug 🫂

That does sound horrible @Woodywig . Good to hear that the supplier and GP have been supportive.

Cocotok · 18/06/2025 13:28

@Moneyordream that is amazing 👏🏼. Well done, you must feel so different?

@Woodywig that sounds awful. I hope it's just a bug and you feel much better soon.

Well into week 4 now and I'm definitely less fatigued this week. Has anyone taken their weekly dose a day early? I'm travelling on Friday for the weekend so was thinking about doing it Thursday instead.

BerfyTigot · 18/06/2025 13:53

@Cocotok yes I regularly change day due to having to travel. Had no problems, was just a normal week.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 18/06/2025 14:37

I'm working on my goals here and there and I'm thinking of adding a 'dress nicely' day every week.

I'm questioning how I feel about myself now versus how I might feel at goal. I've been slim for most of my life before this and I:

  1. Did not wear the shorts
  2. Saved all my vaguely nice/smart casual clothes for 'best' ('best' never came)
  3. Promised myself I'd wear the shorts and the nice clothes if I got to a smaller weight.

So perhaps working towards one day a week where I wear the nice things would be a good habit to start.

AlicesMum2025 · 18/06/2025 15:22

@GoldieLookingBoots I was getting muscle twinges in my calf and magnesium supplements did the trick for me. About £3.50 from Tesco. Electrolyte tablets weren't working because the levels were too low - 56mg in the electrolytes compared to 375mg in the supplements. If I forget to take my supplement one day I start to get the cramp again

I work from home so often find myself at midday still in PJs, or dressed in shorts and a skanky old t-shirt. ☹️
I'm making a bit of effort to look less scruffy when I do leave the house. It does make you feel better about yourself.

SutekhsEars · 18/06/2025 15:41

@GoldieLookingBoots I recommend magnesium glycinate. I used to get terrible cramps, but it's much better now. I get the nutrition geeks one from Amazon.

Mounraine · 18/06/2025 17:35

Commiserations @Woodywig that sounds horrible :(

@DidILeaveTheGasOn I am also starting to think a bit about my appearance and how I want to dress at work especially.

Fatrosrhun · 18/06/2025 17:42

That’s interesting about the magnesium. I got massive cramps in my legs as soon as I hit peri. Mostly stopped with the menopause but I get them occasionally. We have well water that is very high in iron, and I believe too much iron can interfere with magnesium.

Seahorsesplendour · 18/06/2025 20:26

Interesting re the magnesium I forgot I’d got some gummies & had a couple before bed last night randomly but had wicked heartburn in the night which I haven’t had so far so since starting MJ so will leave it abit & and try again another day!!!

@SussexLass87 thst is an awsome NSV!!!

I’ve had one myself too today!! I treated myself to a lovely pair of dungarees last summer & they instantly got assigned to the they’re too small but I can’t bear to send them back pile!!

im at a gig tomorrow & was looking for inspiration for an outfit (& like many others this interest in me is reawakening!!) and they fit!!!!

I am very excited about a night out tomorrow I don’t get many!!! 🤭🤣

sorry to those suffering nasty SE or illnesses!!

first 5mg today still got hungry but got full more quickly which I’m happy about!! Only down side have been burping (but thankfully not sulphur!)

hope the bad dreams stay away tonight for everyone and we all cope with the heat a little better than we would have done 6 weeks ago!!!!

Seahorsesplendour · 18/06/2025 20:28

Well that’s strange 🙈 my post just got hidden until reviewed!! I’m now thinking what on earth did I put in there to trigger that!!! 🙈 nothing I can think of so hopefully it will appear at some point!!!

Mounraine · 18/06/2025 20:32

It's the gum mies word @Seahorsesplendour .

Seahorsesplendour · 18/06/2025 20:35

@Mounraine oh thanks I’ll have to remember that!!! now I also feel v naive as don’t even know why that would be hidden 😂🤣😂 off to Google I go!!!!

Loloj · 18/06/2025 20:37

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 12/06/2025 22:30

Yes it is a bit weird! I’ve heard that some people are able to get it just by forcing it too.

Yes I’ve literally just done this - got 17 clicks initially. I then forced the pen round - i thought it was going to break but it didn’t - then it continued to turn (without the clicks) - so I just kept turning it - I’ve used about half of the golden dose as I wanted to only have half. I’m away this weekend and want to enjoy my meals out without feeling nauseous. Hopefully this will do the trick!

AccidentalPrawnYouFool · 18/06/2025 20:51

Oh nice I’ll give that a go when I come to do mine - I did get the extra needles just in case!

Fatrosrhun · 18/06/2025 20:56

Serious question- if you’d taken the golden dose and still got some left, would you take it the following week, even if you were a few days over the 30 days since it was opened? It’s been in the fridge all month.

Alternatively I’m wondering about taking a little more in a couple of days as atop up. I still have barely any submission even after having taken 4mg from the golden dose, and absolutely no SE.
