Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

My husband and I booked Santa’s sleepover for early December at Alton towers. The second day is entry to the indoor water park and for the first time in a long time, I’m confident that I won’t be mortified at the prospect of wearing a swimming costume.

😄

Urgh… 2nd week and have reached a plateau with nothing really lost this week (W2D6)

lost 7lbs in my first week, which I now assume was water weight! Arrrrggghhh

ShesRunningOutTheDoor · 12/06/2025 09:12

I’m doing my second jab tonight. I normally do bootcamp sessions. Haven’t been this week as worried about not coping but will try this Saturday. Lost 2kg so far.

MsRinky · 12/06/2025 09:14

Updated my fancy spreadsheet and I have actually lost 1.3kg this week, I must of been thinking of a midweek weight. Feel considerably slimmer than I did five minutes ago (which just goes to show how the scales can mess with your head for good or bad!)

Badgerandfox227 · 12/06/2025 09:44

W1D3 and I’ve got a banging headache and some nausea 😣 not at work today so having a little lie down

MissFizzyPop · 12/06/2025 09:45

W3D1
Taken my 3rd dose of 2.5mg this morning. 4.4lb lost in 2 weeks which isn't nearly as much as a lot of people but I'm trying to see it as a positive, less chance of loose skin and hair thinning 🤞🏽 I've also had very little side effects so that's a positive too.
I'm leaning towards going up to 5mg for the next pen to see what happens. I'm getting a couple of days of suppression at the moment but able to stick to a calorie deficit even when I'm hungry so that's new!
Enjoying reading everyone else's experiences too 😁

SW 205lbs
CW 200.6lbs
GW 145lbs
5ft6

W1D2 here, feeling good so far. It is strange not having any food noise, though. Going to yoga this evening so will need to make sure I’ve eaten regularly throughout the day!

I know exactly what you mean @MsRinky - the scales can set the tone of my day!

GiddyAmberQuail · 12/06/2025 09:49

Had monjaro in the fridge for over a week, anxiety of side effects taking over. Appreciate any tips.

theaveragewife · 12/06/2025 09:49

@Shwingbada I had a bruise after jab 1 - was quite surprised at how bruised, weirdly I had some red dots underneath it too. DH thinks I jabbed myself too hard, haven’t had one since.

shifting12345 · 12/06/2025 09:54

@Shwingbadai also have a little bruise but I got the needle in and then couldn’t push it so DH had to help…

Shwingbada · 12/06/2025 09:54

Thanks @theaveragewife, I think maybe I was overzealous with the jab! Glad to hear it might be a one-off.

You will likely be fine. Deep breath and do it.

GiddyAmberQuail · 12/06/2025 09:59

Your right, i need to pull my big girl pants on, literally, and go for it.

Rockfordpeach · 12/06/2025 10:00

Lost 5lbs this week and just done my second jab. Suppression remained strong all week

Xmasfairy86 · 12/06/2025 10:11

Is anyone else not feeling hungry, or maybe not recognising hunger?

I’m still eating as I understand I need food to live and seem to actually enjoy what I’m eating, but also I’m not getting the full feeling people describe, so could overeat if I wanted!

PloopDeck · 12/06/2025 10:29

W1D7 2nd jab due this evening. I’d say the last few days I haven’t felt much suppression at all, so I’m hoping the next jab will bring that back. The first week weigh in shows 8lb loss, which is great, but I know the next week or two the loss will probably be much lower, this is a marathon and not a sprint eh? Not that I could either sprint or do a marathon right now! HmmGrin

notagainyoufool · 12/06/2025 10:53

My weight loss has definitely slowed, which is a little disappointing. I’m eating much better than I was previously. I’m just hoping when I go up to 5mg things will pick up again.

NeedyTiger · 12/06/2025 11:02

Morning jabbers , 3rd jab today , just made a coffee and weighed myself I haven't lost this week at all , my 5mg pen will be here today too I decided to go up because I'm not getting many side effects and I feel like I can make the change I have stayed within my deficit but definitely not reaching my protein goal and I'm struggling with water intake which I never used to prior to this but I'm making better choices and even eating 2 meals a day on most days which is a first for me so already making lifestyle changes and changing habits and behaviours so that's huge ! Good luck and well done everyone ❣️ keep going we got this x

magnoliaday · 12/06/2025 11:20

Have been reading a while on Sunday I’ll be taking number 4 of 2.5 slow loss for me 4 pounds so far have upped exercise but as I have a spinal injury it’s hard to do as much as I’d like I keep reminding myself it’s a marathon not a sprint

Seriestwo · 12/06/2025 11:28

I weighed myself this morning, W1D4, was disappointed to not have lost anything at all.

then I had the biggest poo of my entire life. I’ve been constipated so started on prunes and more water yesterday - I reckon I’m half a stone down.

I think I’ve found my side effect

I felt the same. I took mine last night, slept great and have had no real side affects so far (15 hours since first dose). The only thing i noticed was some short lived mild stabbing pain in my gut. I keep telling myself, even if i get some side affects, it's short lived and i'd rather have tummy pain for a while than be overweight any longer feeling like it's an uphill battle.
Also, just remember, if you react badly, just don't inject again.

BrilliantineStickInsect · 12/06/2025 12:26

I was just thinking a tip for people is to weigh yourself weekly rather than daily, as there will be day-to-day fluctuations that won’t give you a true picture of what you’re losing. Whenever I’ve done past stuff like Weight Watchers, tracking/calorie deficits on MFP etc I’ve strictly only weighed myself weekly on the same day and at the same time and I plan to do the same with this. Unless there’s new advice to do it daily with Mounjaro that I’ve missed!!

I have found it weird rhe lack of food noise.

My colleague brought biscuits it in and for the first time ever I'm not interested

I'm only on w1d1 and i guess im just wondering what people mean by 'food noise'.
I'm feeling pretty normal right now. I had my usual morning protein shake and i've been working and I feel like i'm not having hunger pains but i do feel like i could eat my usual big greek salad.

YourPerfectCousin · 12/06/2025 12:57

Seriestwo Blessed be the prunes.
