Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

When have people been ordering/thinking of ordering their second pens? I take my third jab tomorrow so I’m thinking I should order soon?

I’m just about to order mine to make sure I have it in plenty of time (due for jab 3 on Monday).

I find it so wierd that I get really hungry for lunch then eat half a bowl of soup and I’m stuffed.

Anyone else not losing much? I lost 4lbs week one but despite only have circa 1,000 calories max each day I’m not losing anything now in fact have put on a lb which is really disheartening. Anyone else the same or is it just me?? 😢

W1 D4 Same here, lost 2 lbs over the first couple of days, but today I have put on 1/2 lb. Haven't lost my appetite, but have consciously ate less and no snacking.

I lost loads the first week, but my first weighing day was also day one of my period so I think a massive amount of that loss was water /bloat coming away.

Week two has been much slower, despite being between 800 and 1600 calories a day (only one 1000+ calorie day so far)

Have to remind myself that I'm still on my first pen, and the very lowest dose so to try not expect huge losses just yet

Can I ask about food intake, I’m only W1D2 😅 I’m aiming for 1200 calories per day, and good amount of protein. Do I eat even if I don’t feel hungry to make sure I’m getting 1,200 calories?

1000 calories a day doesn’t sound very much. You can stall weight loss by under eating too.

Hi everyone 👋

Checking back in after my long weekend away. We’re a chatty bunch aren’t we!

I did really well while I was away, did have a few drinks but on the whole made good decisions. I am due my third jab tomorrow and I’m still going strong, though suppression has wained over the week as it did before.

I am also another one on my period. Definitely found it more difficult to curb the cravings in the days leading up to coming on. Now I’m on I feel better, though yesterday I was SO tired. I’m on the copper coil which makes me bleed very heavy anyway, but yesterday was mental.

looking forward to my third jab tomorrow and then going to order my next pen. I’m minded to stay on 2.5mg but haven’t decided yet.

well done on all the losses as well! I’m down 7lbs in 2 weeks!

Hi - please can I join? On week 2 currently - no real side effects and the lack of food noise makes a refreshing change. Am having to really concentrate on drinking water (bad at doing that generally) and focussing on eating healthily and with lots of protein as I lift a lot.

I'm seeing it as the opportunity to prepare. Meal plan, research protein sources, ensure I'm ready.
I'm a bit the same, thought oh prefect I can get the dp birthday and family BBQ out of the way first!! 🤣

I’m half way through my third week. I started at 86kg and a BMI of 31 and within less than 4 weeks I’m down to 78kg. So a loss of 8kg (over a stone) in less than a month.

Considering that I’m at the lower end of the criteria for it being prescribed, I’m a little worried by the speed of the weight loss. I’ve already been prescribed the 5mg dose for a week on Saturday but I feel like I’m losing plenty on 2.5mg

Also, had a bit of a nightmare at my last check in.

I’d just got out of the shower and decided to do my check in before I got dressed. I kept the camera close to my face and when the camera switched to look at the scales, I quickly dropped off my very heavy dressing gown.

But the camera immediately flipped back to my face and he got a full body, upwards naked shot.

You could always halve the dose @BonjournoMonjourno? My provider asked whether I want to go up or not. I’ve stuck with 2.5 but feeling quite hungry today, feels a bit abnormal! W3 D3 so think I’ll move up (was doing 1/2 dose) on Sunday.

That’s a good idea.
I’m not eating too differently to usual. I’ve always eaten healthily through the day, but my evening chocolate and snacks has been my downfall. The Mounjaro has completely taken away that craving and now I have a cup of tea and two biscuits and I’m very happy. On the weekend I treat myself to a twirl.

I'm week 2 day 5 too. I've only been having huel (first time dipping my toe into the protein shake world!) and assumed they're all like this?! I've got the chocolate black one which isn't the best. Any recommendations for a better one?

Last week I was getting hungry by mealtimes and could easily skip a snack. This week I've been much hungrier and snacky. Had a peek on the scales and looks to be 0.5kg loss so far with only tomorrow to go before I weigh on Friday. My average cals has been 1700 rather than the 1600 of last week. I've seen a few people with lower losses on week 2 so I'm hoping week 3 pulls it back a little or I'm going to have to up to 5mg and I'd really like to stay on 2.5 for a bit longer!

I have the chocolate whey protein from Applied Nutrition, which I got from Amazon. I find it much less stodgy but somehow fills me up until lunch time. I mix it with semi skimmed milk x

Grabbed these weird little food balls from M&S on my lunch. £1.50 each so not cheap but will be good in a pinch to get my calories/protein in without having to physically eat a ton (and I just can't stand protein shakes). I got some clear protein in Peach Tea flavour from Holland & Barrett too, gonna give that a bash later. Hoping it tastes like Lipton Ice Tea 😁

If the M&S balls are nice I may just try make my own version.

I think I'll order my next jab on Friday. I'm going to go for 5mg as not much difference in price. Means I can 30 click for 2.5mg if I feel I can manage on that.

W2 D5 and I've been able to cease my blood pressure medication. I've gone from mild hypertension on the tablets to a healthy BP in two weeks after losing 3% of my bodyweight. I started the year with incredibly high, likely to have a stroke, hypertension and now it's normal again. Can't believe it really.
