Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

How soon do you all order jab 2? I’m with Medexpress if that makes a difference.

MyAzureMoose · 11/06/2025 14:55

Emas82 · 11/06/2025 13:02

I'm seeing it as the opportunity to prepare. Meal plan, research protein sources, ensure I'm ready.
I'm a bit the same, thought oh prefect I can get the dp birthday and family BBQ out of the way first!! 🤣

My appointment is not until 30th. Glad I didn't wait any longer to get the order in!

ArwenStewQueen · 11/06/2025 15:11

Sideorderofchips · 11/06/2025 13:22

First dose today!!

Sw 19st 2
Gw 11st

Good luck! Sounds like we’re on about the same journey with regards to weight loss - I have such high hopes!!

How are you feeling about it all?

DD517 · 11/06/2025 15:18

First jab this morning! No one knows so lets see how this goes 🤣

Hey!

I'm feeling good. Stocked up on fruit and yoghurt and I'm really hoping this is what I need to stick to a diet. How are you feeling about it?

BrilliantineStickInsect · 11/06/2025 16:01

Just to add my sister-in-law lost 5 stone in 9 months on Mounjaro, and my brother has already lost just under 2 stone in 2 months, it’s what prompted me to try it. Keep the faith, it works!! 💪🏼

Grabbed these weird little food balls from M&S on my lunch. £1.50 each so not cheap but will be good in a pinch to get my calories/protein in without having to physically eat a ton (and I just can't stand protein shakes). I got some clear protein in Peach Tea flavour from Holland & Barrett too, gonna give that a bash later. Hoping it tastes like Lipton Ice Tea 😁

If the M&S balls are nice I may just try make my own version.

I picked up something similar in Holland & Barrett today which were peanut butter protein balks by Deliciously Ella - they were SO good! But I have to limit myself to them out of home as DD1 is allergic sadly.

I’ve got my second weigh in tomorrow, but nervous it will be disappointing but looking forwards to my third jab as I’m definitely hungrier today.

@BonjournoMonjourno your camera story made me laugh!! 🤭

Hello to the new starters @SirHectorDoolittle, @DD517 and others!

W2 D5 and I've been able to cease my blood pressure medication. I've gone from mild hypertension on the tablets to a healthy BP in two weeks after losing 3% of my bodyweight. I started the year with incredibly high, likely to have a stroke, hypertension and now it's normal again. Can't believe it really.

That's fantastic news! Well done you!

PuppyHerder · 11/06/2025 17:37

BonjournoMonjourno · 11/06/2025 13:09

I’m half way through my third week. I started at 86kg and a BMI of 31 and within less than 4 weeks I’m down to 78kg. So a loss of 8kg (over a stone) in less than a month.

Considering that I’m at the lower end of the criteria for it being prescribed, I’m a little worried by the speed of the weight loss. I’ve already been prescribed the 5mg dose for a week on Saturday but I feel like I’m losing plenty on 2.5mg

Can understand how that sort of weight loss, so quickly could be unsettling; but I'd give anything to see that sort of progress.

W1 D3 for me. Not hungry at all and have only managed a Babybell at work today. It's not that I'm feeling full, it's more just not interested in food. Don't really fancy anything.
My metabolism is already rubbish. Don't want to do anymore damage, so need to eat well. It must be psychosomatic rather than the jab on 2.5 I assume.

Beeneatingsomemousse · 11/06/2025 18:28

The psychological side of things is really fascinating … just not thinking much about food. It is freeing.

Sarebear1984 · 11/06/2025 18:45

Starting tonight before bed! Nervous!!
Totally overate all day today as a sort of goodbye to food. I know it's totally backwards... but i guess it's like having a last cigarette before knowing you're going to quit.

Does every provider ask them to upload weight pictures for each month to get a new dose?

I’m with SheMed and they do a zoom-type call

moremoremores · 11/06/2025 19:17

Do you have to weigh in on the call?

moremoremores · 11/06/2025 19:22

I'm trying to arrange my 2nd delivery of 0.25g pen but Juniper wants £189! I don't really want to pay that.

moremoremores · 11/06/2025 19:25

I found a discount code.

How far can you order it advance does anyone know. I'm in wk 3 but have found Juniper quite slow so was being proactive.

Fatrosrhun · 11/06/2025 19:53

@BonjournoMonjourno love your username!

moremoremores · 11/06/2025 19:17

Do you have to weigh in on the call?

Yes. ☺️ they scan the qr on the monjouro box and then check the scales while I’m standing on them

It takes about 3 minutes usually

nexttonormal · 11/06/2025 20:14

Week 2 day 5 and suppression has kicked in for me. I'm not hungry but able to eat when I remember. Food noise is gone. No side effects still but think now the medication has properly kicked in they may be on their way. Still drinking lots and taking my fibre.

Period week this week too - interesting to see how this effects weigh day as usually I gain.

ArwenStewQueen · 11/06/2025 20:32

Sideorderofchips · 11/06/2025 15:25

Hey!

I’m on W2D5 and wow has the suppression kicked in! Set reminders to eat smaller meals regularly which is helping with nausea.

Have also decided that daily weight checks are the way forwards, as I can track fluctuations (am due on any day!)

How is everyone finding protein/fibre balances?? I’m definitely feeling a bit…. Erm, slower in that respect 🤪💩🛑

shifting12345 · 11/06/2025 20:47

I’m definitely struggling with my fibre intake, I have a nut allergy which doesn’t help as they are always recommended.

Bit worried about DH, we’re only W1 D2 but he’s barely eating. Maybe 500 calories but I’d guess less.

BonjournoMonjourno · 11/06/2025 20:50

I had a slice of wholemeal bread and a third of a tin of baked beans for lunch. They’re quite high in fibre

moremoremores · 11/06/2025 21:12

Any tips for getting less lumpy protein shakes?

Tinybirdie · 11/06/2025 21:29

Protein shakes are the devil. I was heaving trying to drink just a small cup. Not for me.

Shwingbada · 11/06/2025 21:32

Has anyone else bruised quite badly at the site of the injection? I've just noticed quite a large black bruise on my stomach from the second jab which I did this morning.
