Hi everyone!

I started MJ around this time last year, but due to costs and unforeseen family circumstances, I fell of the band wagon and took about 6 months off. I’m now a stone heavier than I was. I am back and ready to go again. First pen, back to 2.5mg, arriving tomorrow or Friday.

I found the last thread I was on very supportive so wondered if there’s a few people around who want to join me!

Perhaps this could be a June '25 thread as we are almost into a new month? I'm very new . I took my 1st injection last Thursday morning and will due my 2nd one tomorrow and myr 1st weigh in.

I’m starting next week! Be good to have a safe space to share x

Ooo me please! Did my first 2.5 on Saturday!

Have ordered my very first pen and it should be arriving tomorrow! I'm in work 7am-7:30pm so thinking of taking it at night.

Very hopeful to finally shift the many many pounds that make my knees and ankles ache, exacerbate my asthma and make me feel so tired all of the time

Will be good to have a place to share the ups and downs!

I'll kick this off with a few details.
I have just completed my first week on 2.5 with occasional nausea but nothing drastic.
I'm a shortie at just 5ft with start weight of 11st.7lbs and want to lose 2 stone .
I've been a yo-yo dieter over the years and fond of wine !
My first weigh in this morning was a loss of 3lbs. I'm attempting not to be too disappointed after reading of how many other people lose so much more after their first week.
Exercise has been difficult recently due to a bad couple of years health wise including a recent recovery from a broken wrist and leg.
I'm in this for the long game though and am hoping for a loss of a stone in three months which is the end of August. I'm used to hiding in the summer under my baggy tops and always look forward to Autumn.
Suppression was good for me in the first 5 days but started to wane in the last 2. I was excited to inject again for the start of my 2nd week!!!!!
The best news is I really don't fancy wine anymore 😁.

Hi everyone. Hope it is ok if I join, just taken my first dose this morning 😳 Slightly worried about the side effects, especially hair loss as my hair is already thin but I keep reminding myself that's associated with rapid weight loss and I want to try and be slow and steady...

I'm up for joining this thread if it turns into June starters! I actually took my first injection last Friday, not going to lie, I have had some side effects. First few days were okay, food suppression is great, but I do have some dizziness, particularly when I get out of bed in the morning. Apart from that, the main effect has been that I've had constipation in the mornings for the last two days and then horrific diarrhoea in the afternoons. First day I was out in town and very luckily was slowly making my way towards a loo anyway but did have to exit a shop quickly and get there rather more precipitously than I had anticipated! Was hoping it might be just a one day thing but also had terrible diarrhoea yesterday afternoon and evening. Really really concerned now as we go on holiday on Sunday which involves a car and plane trip. Going to see how it goes today and will have to consider whether I should take the second injection tomorrow or not.

Please could I join? I’m just waiting for my first order (juniper - not the smoothest journey, more on that later!) Have 7st to lose, after regaining 5st after an accident having finally gotten down to my goal weight through diet and exercise. Now nothing is shifting no matter what I do so hoping this will kickstart SOMETHING!!

Also - massive needlephobe so really not looking forward to that part - pls tell me it’s not as bad as I’m envisioning 🙈

I collect my first kit tomorrow afternoon.
I'm quite apprehensive about the side effects but hoping I can manage when I'm at work. I'm probably going to start on Saturday. Eek slightly worried now but have to do something about my weight and health.

It's really not that bad! The needles are teeny tiny and I honestly wasn't even sure if mine had gone in.

Hi everyone, I’d like to join too please! My pen arrived yesterday but I am waiting until tonight to do my first injection as DH was out last night and I didn’t want to risk taking something new whilst alone with the DCs.

I wonder if I should wait until Saturday to start as I’m in the office tomorrow and a bit worried about diarrhoea side effects hitting me on an hour plus commute…

raises hand. I took my first 2.5 on Monday. Not feeling much of anything so far, tbh. Be good to compare notes.

No where near! Needle is tiny and I didn’t even feel it! My mum does this too and she said she’s only felt the injection twice having been on it since October

Good luck on your journey everyone! I started in June last year, and it doesn't feel like it is nearly a year!

Just a tip, there are usually monthly starter threads on the board and they are great little communities when starting out, might be worth reporting your opening post and asking MN to change the title to include it is for June 25 starters before someone else starts one for the month

That’s a relief! After having daily blood thinner injections after my last pregnancy I think I’ve built it up! Right - just waiting for delivery and it’s go time!!
