I am now W1 D4. I’ve been trying to lose weight for so long- calorie counting, exercising and doing well- then the weekend would come. I feel such a relief having started this. The endless thinking about food has gone.
I do get the hunger feeling, but I’m eating normal amounts and stopping when I feel full. I’m able to eat one bag of crisps and leave it at that. The alcohol noise has massively decreased as well and for the first time in years I feel in control of that as well.

Macs18 · 19/05/2025 23:59

Are we allowed to share discount codes on here? I have one for Voy which, so far I would really recommend! Really fast delivery and I’ve a call booked with a coach- hoping that will help with the long term!

MayFlower58 · 20/05/2025 00:12

Joining thank you.
Starting MJ this week and I've got the fear after hearing some scare stories about side effects. Hope I can do this. 67 with bmi of 40% and had enough !

Mounjaronew · 20/05/2025 04:39

W3 D2 lost 8lbs in week 1 but stuck there on 11s 10lbs since then. No SE and serious appetite suppression and healthy eating. Much healthier than normal. But i feel disappointed that I haven’t lost more. I started at 12.4 which is 4lbs up from where I usually was so I sort of feel that I have only lost 4lbs really. I have really increased exercise and am running 5k each day on very tough hilly course and sea swimming. I am very constipated so have started taking fibrogel. I took the gummies for the past couple days but they are not doing anything.

I think I will really start looking at my diet and remove carbs and up protein. Maybe have more lentils barley etc instead of sweet potatoes, squash and parsnips. Haven’t really felt like eating but sticking to 2 good meals a day. I am just feeling a bit disappointed after the initial success. If anyone has any advice it would be welcome!

hottubsundays · 20/05/2025 06:56

W2D2 for me - I lost 6lb in the first three days and then nothing the rest of the week (too impatient not to weigh every day!) d2 last week was quite tough with nausea as I was at work too. I have a super busy day today so not looking forward to similar effects but I lost another lb since yesterday which isn’t surprising - I made a tiny salad for lunch which I only ate half of and then had the rest for dinner - it’s certainly good for the food shop bill 🤣

dc82 · 20/05/2025 07:55

Well done everyone for your losses!!

One added benefit of this for me so far is the having no desire for a glass of wine after a stressful day. Loving that it’s breaking that pattern.

Laurthomx · 20/05/2025 08:01

My first order is coming at some point today. I have done a calorie deficit for the past 4 days to get my body and mindset ready for it and heard this is the best way to avoid unpleasant side effects. 6lb down already!🎉

Seahorsesplendour · 20/05/2025 08:49

@Catty123Ma I've been using these

Vegan protein powder

I think protein powder is a really individual taste but I like that this has other health benefits & additions too! I like the vanilla really strong smell and I think I found the taste a little strong to start with but have adjusted now and works for me in smoothies, milk & plain yoghurt! Having said that my smoothie this morning is a bit bitter but first time so I think it must be something else I’ve put in it !!

electrolytes Wise a friend recommended these and I really like them!

Electrolytes

taste really really nice , don’t break a fast and have really helped with my thirst and consequential over drinking and constant weeing!!

im just having one a day as they are pricey (as is the protein powder!! You do get 10% off first order and I ordered the tester box to try them all then got a couple of my favourite.

there is so much stuff out there it’s a little mind blowing!!!! Good luck!!!

w3d2 here. Will 6lb down - I have gone up a couple of lbs over the weekend but not concerned as feel lighter in myself. Feel a bit nauseous this morning. But other than that all good!

Apprenante · 20/05/2025 09:11

@Moneyordream I hope you get the results of your tests back soon and that whatever is going on can be easily remedied. 🍀

Starlightstargazer · 20/05/2025 09:36

Wk3d2, 6.6lbs down which I’m really happy with.
Trying to up exercise and am sticking to around 1500cals a day. It’s definitely made me realise how much i was eating everyday before this.
Really enjoying being in control of what’s going into my body and making healthy choices. Before it was like I couldn’t stop myself, just constantly hungry / wanting food / thinking about food, dreaming about food!!

Well done to everyone for doing great! Hoping those of you with SE feel better soon.

Yes same here. Hoping it’s nothing serious and results come back soon

I took my first dose yesterday. Yesterday felt fine, but had no appetite. Today I've woken up and feel achey all over like I've had a flu jab, my neck lymph nodes are really tender, anyone else had this? I do also feel a bit nauseous but I was expecting that

travelexpert · 20/05/2025 09:51

I jabbed first time last night. Had a fairly good night but I have a huge bruise on my tummy. Is this normal?

Yes I also feel achy. I went to the gym yesterday so thought it was that but my neck really aches

My husband did my 1st jab and he was a bit cautious I think and I ended up with a bruise. But this week I did it myself and decided to be a bit more confident with it and no bruise. I also didn’t ouch my flab this week because quite frankly there’s no need to try and find a fatty area 🤣

Anyone planning to start this Thursday? Was thinking Thursday as I don’t work Friday or the weekend and it will hopefully help any excessive weekend consumption.. which is usually my downfall. Is there any tips of taking the injection in the morning versus the night time?

lots of questions, also…

Any tips for supplements.. I’m looking for a Recommendation on: multivitamin/hydration/protein/collagen? Iv taken all apart from protein intermittently over the past few years.. I think it might be a good idea to ramp it back up!

I’m taking quite a lot of supplements:
Inessa multivitamin
Inessa omega 3
Inessa probiotics

British supplements:
chlorella
spirulina as both have loads of protein
marine collagen
astaxanthin
turmeric

I do pay in 3 for them all and get 3 months worth at a time

I jabbed on Saturday and have a huge bruise on my thigh - i do bruise really easily however!

I don't know why my previous post was hidden. There was nothing in it but asking for advice as weight loss has stalled.

Optimum19 · 20/05/2025 11:09

I am w2d6 and want to move to 5mg next month. If I swap providers is this easy or do I have to go through the weight & photo palaver again. Also anyone know a cheap(er) provider you would recommend?

BH701 · 20/05/2025 11:13

Hey!

I just wondered what side effects people were having. I've felt really rough for the past week, extremely tired & feel like I have a cold. I'm not sure whether to put this down to it actually being a cold or a side effect!

It's making it very difficult for me to be active as I am exhausted, much more so than usual.

Has anyone else experienced this?

26dX · 20/05/2025 11:13

@Optimum19i swapped from medexpress to farmeci for my second pen because of a discount code! They do still ask for info but if you’ve been on it already they’ll just want proof of prescription x

Apparently gummies is a restricted word.

Mounjaronew · 20/05/2025 11:49

Oh dear I’ve done it again. I used a word for a constipation medication that is a no no!!

GeraniumRoseblush · 20/05/2025 11:59

@Mounjaronew sorry to hear you're frustrated with your loss. Are you tracking calories/macros? Do you think you're eating enough? 8lbs loss in one week is huge so try not to be disheartened. Please don't remove healthy carbs if you're doing lots of exercise though, your body needs fuel. Also don't forget there won't always be a change in the scale - waist measurement, improvement in fitness, muscle mass all count and aren't seen by a number on the scale. If it's any consolation I've only lost 4lbs and I'm on W3D5! Keep on keeping on, you've got this!

@BH701 yes I've also had less energy than normal. And cold. I think electrolytes can help with energy and I started them the other day so fingers crossed.

For my part, I have woken up feeling noticeably low in mood. Rationally, I'm aware it's a known side effect but I'm a bit concerned that it's hit me while I'm only on 2.5. Hoping it's a short term blip and it settles down. Anyone else feeling a bit low and any suggestions to mitigate it?
