I’ve been feeling the cold much more than normal, this has been since week 1. Compared the the SEs others are having, I can cope with that. Also had constipation last week but it’s much better this week.

@GeraniumRoseblush Sorry to hear about your low mood. You're on W3D5? Did you notice this on days 5+ on W1 or 2? I was in a low mood on W1D5-6 and I felt better after injecting the next dose and have continued to feel fine and quite level, which isn't that usual for me. Editing to add that I'm on WK2D3 so Thursday may be a bit of a twat.

I've got lots of other factors going on though so I can't entirely attribute what's going on with my moods to MJ yet, need more data. (Yes, I am a data analyst! 😅)

Whenever I feel low regardless of MJ, I treat myself like a good friend or one of my kids, depending on what works - I tend to be more compassionate with others than myself. So:

Take a nap, if possible
Go outside for a walk
Watch something comforting
Use your support network - us lot, your people in real life
Get a cat to sit on you and purr
Know that it is temporary

Interesting.. what does this feel like? Extra hungry or normal hungry.. Inwas thinking of starting on a Thursday too to get through the weekend ..

Just sneakily weighed myself (mid week 2) and have put .8kg on. Feel absolutely gutted but had a big loss week 1. Really don't know what to do!

Your post actually made me tear up a little as I've just been telling myself to get on with it and stop feeling sorry for myself rather than just be kind to myself. I shall go and find the cat (who will probably ignore me but at least that reminds me that things carry on as normal!) 🤣

I haven't noticed the same thing on other weeks but good point about looking for patterns. Today it was really like a smack to the face which is why it's been so striking. I shall keep in mind that it's temporary and watch what happens on my next jab on Friday.

It feels like I normally would when dieting/eating 1400cals a day 🙈😅 so hungry!! But I feel like I can get through til next jab day (thank god it's not weekend!) But it does make me realise why I've probably failed at diets before as feeling like this every day for months would be torture haha

I'm going to a gym after work for a consultation which is INSANE, last week I was all 'I want to join a gym but how do I get to that point from where I'm at now' and the fact that I'm going to have a chat about joining one the following week is really amazing. I have used exercise to manage stress in the past so I'm optimistic that it could step in where the Jack Daniels/Peroni/white wine was before.

I just hope it's not one of those gyms with mirrors everywhere.

Where on earth will I find plus size workout gear? Maybe just leggings and a big tshirt will suffice. Crap I'm psyching myself out, stop it woman.

Just jumping back on , 3 rd injection today for me this morning . In the 2 weeks I’ve been in this I’ve lost 11 pounds which I’m over the moon about . Has anyone noticed any effects on their period? I was due on last week and so far nothing - unusual and zero chance of pregnancy. Not too concerned given weight loss and the medication .
im really enjoying the my protein clear whey protein powder , so much easier to drink that shakes for me . have also noticed that my body seems to be getting more used to the medication- my appetite isn’t as suppressed as it was in week one but I actually think it’s better because I’m able to eat rather than trying to force it down . Going to get my next pen ordered and il go up to 5mg as I’ve had no se to put me off .

Hi

First dose of Mounjaro injected this morning! Myself and hubby are doing it together. It will probably drop off him as usual. 🤣

Anyway I am fed up with being big again -and kidding myself I look ok. I’m not ok and physically I have problems such as piriformis syndrome being one of them. The irony there being I got that from running…,.

Yes, I am the same. Definitely having more thoughts about chocolate today. I cracked an weighed myself yesterday and have lost 5lbs...I am going to need willpower today and tomorrow I think.

What is the recommended way to do things in month 2? Stay at 2.5 or go up to 5? I know it's different for everyone, I just wondered what the majority do?

Day 5 for me and i do feel less suppression. However if feel quite energised and for the first time in a very very looong time i went on the treadmill! Only did about 20 mins of walk and fast walk but its a start! Also did 20 mins of some random weight excercises.
anyone got any good weight training videos on youtube? Around 20-25 mins would be good
thinking about getting creatine as well to boost muscle gain

Second Jab today! I’m on nightshift now so did it before bed and I’ve weighed now I’m up and I’ve lost over 2kg.

Didn’t have any side effects of note, felt some suppression but still ate relatively normally. Hoping for better losses once I work on cutting out some of the treats that I managed last week.

I run a few times a week, walk for over an hour most days and weight train at home but haven’t been doing weights as much lately and not last week at all.

So overall I’m happy with that and I have a few things to work on which suits me to have a wee goal!

Try Popflex or JLUXE. They have a variety of sizes and use models that looks like real people so you can get a sense of what some of the clothes will look like

To respond to as many people as I can remember:
Bruises at site of injection seem common.
Achy neck and shoulders seem common on social media, but the literature only emphasises seeking medical advice if you have pains or lumps in your neck. I'm presuming this is due to allergic reaction and your airways.
Period yes mine has got heavier. If you're on contraception and/or HRT you should see the post about recent advice released.
Weight gain. Trust the process. We can't expect to lose weight every week, let alone every day.
Fatigue and cold Yes, both common side effects apparently. I definitely feel both!

I am a Thursday jabber and normally start noticing the drug wearing off today. However, I was so busy at work I forgot to eat until midday and I've felt stuffed all afternoon. W3 for me.

Still in week one. Minimal side effects apart from one evening of an upset stomach. Freezing and no desire to eat. Living on protein yoghurts at the moment and even those I have to force down.

That sounds whingy but I’m honestly not complaining! I knew it would be a big change and I’d prefer this than if 2.5mg did nothing as is in the case for some people.

@mounraine where is the I do about impact Ln periods pls?? Mine was heavier ans longer but google doesn't show much it seems to imply more that they would stop if anything!

Last week I lost 6lb but it was in the first 3 days then nothing until I did my 2nd jab Sunday and have lost a pound in 24 hours so thinking for me it will be the first couple of days only

To those that are in week 3 - are you thinking of moving up to 5mg or staying at 2.5mg?
I was planning at staying on 2.5mg at the end of last week as I had good suppression but I’m on W3D4 now and the suppression hasn’t been as strong.
Im wondering whether to order the 5mg and do a 3.75mg dose for a couple of weeks and see how I go.

Bit scared of moving up through the doses too fast though and wondering whether I should stick with it. It’s so hard to know. What are others thinking of doing?

I've decided to move up to 5 based on the logic that that's the first proper medical dose (after the starting dose)

If the SE will be too bad I'll go down to 3.75 for week 2 of the 5 pen.

I'm then planning to stay at 5 for as long as possible.

I know many people are staying on 2.5 or increasing gradually, so I think it's just what you think will work for you. No harm in trying something and then adapting afterwards.
