We’ve filled another thread already, with fantastic support as most of us reach week 3 or 4 and think about pen 2! Thread 3 now as we enjoy the unexpected early summer and move into our second month of Mounjaro, lighter in both scales and mood.

W4 day 1. Starting weight. 105.9 kgs Weighed today at 99.8 kgs. 6 kilos in 3 weeks! I feel great too. Cant believe. I was prepared to suffer nasty side effects, but actually, I feel better than I have ever felt. I’m sleeping beautifully, full of energy, even tempered. I am cold and I am dry mouthed and a little bit constipated, but the cold makes me feel thin after years of sweaty messdom at temps above 19, the dry mouth reminds me to drink, and if the constipation merely demonstrates the slowing of my digestion, that’s definitely a price worth paying. I am eating really well and enjoying the food I have, limiting sugars and loosely calorie counting. Thank you to everyone on here for being in it too.

Ricoletti · 17/05/2025 15:45

today’s non scale victory-

I’ve just been for a big walk in a country park, up and down riverbanks and wooden stairs , and ran with / after the dog a few times … And I feel really really good !

I 100% wouldn’t have been able to do that a month (and almost a stone) ago. Feeling really happy (Hello endorphins) and positive 🥳

Shot 4 this morning and weigh in. Total lost over the 3 weeks is 12lbs, delighted with that, only have 4 lbs to go to be the same weight as my husband 😂 which is a first mini goal! I have 6 weeks until we go on holidays so I’m hoping I could have another 12 pounds off my then. Unlike alot of people here my clothes don’t really fit any better yet but hoping that in the next 6 weeks I can loose some more and my holiday clothes from last year will fit better!
well done to everyone on their losses this week.
I had first adverse reaction to something I ate last night so a helpful reminder not to eat anything greasy even if a Friday night 😂

I have a couple of pairs of shorts that didn't fit me last Summer and I'm hoping I'll be able to get into them for my holiday in September! I'm not really seeing any difference as of yet even though I've lost over a stone but I have a lot to lose.

Well done! Like you I have more energy and really enjoying my meals! And yes, getting cold too, when I've be used to getting so hot after any exertion!

What lovely positive vibes on a sunny Saturday ☀️

PoisonIvy89 · 17/05/2025 19:14

well done great losses @Scousebloke @GoGoGovy @Sallycinnamum @StartingApril2025 @BeachBodyAim @Zebracat

@AbundanceofKatherines welcome back, sounds like you had a great time! wow 7lbs would be an awesome loss any time but losing 7lbs while on holiday?!!!
and please don't be sorry, we want to hear all your news and celebrate with you

@Sunshineandpool I put protein powder in my overnight oats. I tried a few different brands and hated some until I found the right one for my, I use Protein Works Vegan Protein. I'm not vegan but my stomach objects to whey protein.

@Coventree 😝😂 Hey I'm all for going off-piste, if you are researching and making informed decisions. Reading the instructions and choosing to ignore them or modify them is very different to not reading them in the first place.

@BeachBodyAim that's so funny, were you on mounjaro in your dream or were you eating all the chocolate?

@Ricoletti that's so interesting, I'd love to be able to do that, especially for bad dreams and nightmares, just deciding mid nightmare to change it to something fun or relaxing would be much better than waking in a panic!

@Zebracat yes exactly the same for me!

Going grocery shopping on a high suppression day was a silly idea, I got hardly anything and will need to go back in a couple of days, need to time that better next week!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Sheldon4k · 17/05/2025 19:40

Evening everyone. Well done on all the losses, big or small! Still very much a win!

Loving the updates! Seems my strange dreams are possibly MJ related after all.

I had my first NSV today, put on my jeans and low and behold they are a little loose on me (okay, they are the biggest pair I own... but im claiming the victory!)

I went shopping yesterday and bought a new pair of shorts, hubby asked if I was gonna try them on so I said no way cos I am buying a size smaller.
My goal at the moment is to get into them... I think I need to lose about an inch round my stomach (so hopefully before the July hol I will be in them)!

Im about due TOTM and the week before is generally when I eat literally everything! I have just realised that although I had my sweet cravings last week I seem to have sailed through the most challenging week I normally have for staying on track when on a diet! So thats a bonus!

Good luck to all those getting ready to start pen 2. I am hopeful for all of us that will be increasing our doses to remain bad SE free x

StartingApril2025 · 17/05/2025 19:57

@Sunshineandpool yes I think as I have 3 stone more to lose to a healthy bmi that could be awhile before I see a difference!

Ricoletti · 17/05/2025 20:06

@PoisonIvy89 I’ve just done the same thing! Gone grocery shopping and was walking past everything like ‘nah, nah, don’t want that’ …. I came away with loads of salad , eggs , Greek yogurt and not much else 🤣 the kids aren’t going to be pleased… I think they liked my pre MJ excess more…

@Sheldon4k yes yes yes to clothes fitting , this is a lovely NSV 🥳

Same, DH said "where's all the biscuits"?
I didn't fancy them so I didn't buy any. Oops.

Brunocatmon · 17/05/2025 21:27

What is an nsv?

PoisonIvy89 · 17/05/2025 21:32

@Brunocatmon Non Scale Victory

@Ricoletti I stocked up on non elibible household stuff 😂

@Sheldon4k that's excellent, you'll soon be in your new shorts. Mine is also due and usually two days before I get very hungry, I'm interested to see who wins the mounjaro vs hormones battle

Ahh, got it, thank you. Love that

violetmondays · 17/05/2025 22:23

@toobusytoclean@BeachBodyAim@Ricoletti I had such a weird vivid dream last night and I can’t remember the last time I even had a dream!

Does anyone else feel less/no suppression on jab 4? I literally feel nothing. Just normal. I did the jab yesterday morning so should be at peak around now but I’ve just had to snack on yoghurt and granola as I was really hungry Confused

Loving all the NSVs!!

toobusytoclean · 17/05/2025 23:26

@violetmondays absolutely no suppression this week. Glad I was too lazy to leave the house today so had to eat mushroom omelette and broccoli for dinner as that was the only food left in the fridge. Seriously worried about tomorrow’s weekly trip to Sainsburys and the battle between crisps and my willpower.

Flowerchild547 · 18/05/2025 07:41

Wow this thread moves quickly!

Congratulations all with brilliant losses!

I weigh daily and saw that I’ve now lost a stone! It’s stayed firmly down over a couple of days so I’m confident that it’s true (despite my disbelief).

Have done my 5mg injection and haven’t felt any significant side effects nor any huge change in symptoms. However, my suppression was still high on last 2 weeks of 2.5 so perhaps that’s why. I’m hoping the 5 will take me through until the end of the week as I was finding that my usual cupboard searching was returning in the latter half of the week.

violetmondays · 18/05/2025 08:05

Woohoo 🎉 congrats @Flowerchild547

Is our first stone lost? Apologies if it’s not and I’ve missed anyone. We really should have some sort of badge to mark these milestones.

Coventree · 18/05/2025 08:05

Well done @Flowerchild547 - great loss and I hope 5mg continues in the same vein for you 👏. Think you’re one of the first of us leading the charge into 5mg, so good to hear there hasn’t been any change in SEs.

It’s been 3 1/2 weeks and £115 of nothing, @violetmondays 🤣. I’ll be shouting from the rooftops if it kicks in from my Thursday jab at 5mg. Interesting that it’s tapered off for you this week when @Flowerchild547‘s last week of 2.5mg was still high. The range of different responses we all have to how the medicine affects us is fascinating and shows nothing is a ‘one-size-fits-all’. But as long as we’re all heading down those scales, regardless of how fast or slow, then it’s all good!

StartingApril2025 · 18/05/2025 08:35

@Flowerchild547 brilliant well done!!
yes the range of responses is vast , the shoty app says right now is my highest level but I could easily eat a massive breakfast , I won’t but I could! I just think we are all beautifully unique so won’t be the same responses, losses so no point stressing on comparing .

50lbstolose · 18/05/2025 08:45

@toobusytoclean @Flowerchild547 @StartingApril2025 I am w4d1 of 2.5mg. The last two weeks I haven't felt much suppression, in that I have felt like o could eat a big meal. But when it came time to eat, I couldn't/didnt want to eat too much.
When I fancied some chocolate I ate two squares.
Last night I had a glass of wine and felt peckish so I had carrots, celery and humous.

Crunchymum · 18/05/2025 08:55

Excellent losses everyone.

@Flowerchild547 a stone - wowser!!

Cannot wait to do my 5mg (I'm W4D3 today so have a while to go). Definitely feeling a bit less hungry this week than week 3 though.

Everyone here seems to be eating so healthily. I'm still struggling with my eating habits. I'm not eating any junk but I'm still having a fair amount of carbs and probably not enough fruit and veg. My eating habits were so bad though that I know I'm making some progress.

I'm quite fussy and my diet had become very beige so I'm working on this.

50lbstolose · 18/05/2025 09:24

@Crunchymum my biggest diet change has been my reduction in carbs, it has been hard. I am having some, just smaller portions. Cauliflower is a game changer, mash it or rice it.

50lbstolose · 18/05/2025 09:27

I have been feeling fuzzy headed and dull. I am definitely not getting enough protein into my diet. I have a daily shake, I eat plenty of veg and have protein with every meal, yogurt/egg/meat/fish.
Any suggestions for high protein snack? I am eating nuts but I am mindful of the calories.
Also, any suggestions for which electrolytes to take? I'm hoping that might sharpen my brain up again.

Ricoletti · 18/05/2025 09:33

@50lbstolose electrolytes have been a game changer for me! I got a free trial from vidrate , paid £3:99 for postage for a months worth. If I continue with the subscription it’s £16 per month , no postage. .
way more expensive than the cheapies I was getting from home bargains but they are so much better!

I take 1 or 2 a day.

ellieinfrance · 18/05/2025 09:47

Has anyone experienced muscle pain? Today and yesterday I've had random muscle pain in thigh and top of my arm. I've obviously not exercised to an extent that I've pulled a muscle! Wondering if I maybe haven't eaten enough protein? I've been pretty much side effect free and did W4 2.5 jab on Thursday, moving to 5 next week.
