We’ve filled another thread already, with fantastic support as most of us reach week 3 or 4 and think about pen 2! Thread 3 now as we enjoy the unexpected early summer and move into our second month of Mounjaro, lighter in both scales and mood.

Well done @Zebracat@Scousebloke@BeachBodyAim @Steala loads of great losses!

i did a price match with MedExpress @ellieinfranceat that time the cheapest was chemist4u I think and just shared the URL showing price.

Ive since come to realise that the price match isn’t as good as it sounds as you’ve still paid the full price for that pen, but just got credit tying you into getting next one from them too. Means you wild then have to do same again every second pen so only a price match every second? I doubt they will provide a price match on a pen you’ve used credit towards? Will try and then confirm if that’s true next time. Actually swapping to the cheaper supplier means you get it both times! I just can’t be bothered but probably will if I go up a dose.

Sorry to hear about all the reactions. I often react to things and have sensitive skin so have been expecting it but nothing yet even when injecting straight out fridge. Sure I’ve now jinxed it and it will catch up with me!

Great losses @Scousebloke @BeachBodyAim @Zebracat

@Coventree thanks, it's reassuring to know increasing the dose is not making things worse

@bridgetreilly thanks, have added figs to my shopping list

@Sallycinnamum 4 days isn't long enough for it all to be out of your system so you'll be fine, good luck for your appointment

7th dose today, 1.1lbs lost this week, I was disappointed not to have lost more but clothes are feeling a bit looser and I took some more progress pictures and I can see a difference so that perked me right up 😁

PumpKim · 15/06/2025 08:20

Official weigh day.
So... You know I'm a great advocate of the daily weigh and average the week...?
Well. If I take my average for this week, I'm down 1.1lb with a total of 13.6 lost altogether BUT if I take my actual weight on the scales today, I'm down 2.5lb and I finally reach the 1 stone club, so that's come back and bit me on the bum 🤣

So my official weight record for today, is 'about a stone' does everyone agree? 🤣

100% count that as reaching a stone loss! Congratulations 🥳

Price match sorted for this one. Let me know if you manage to get out on the next! I actually think they should do, as the price is still more expensive? Thanks for the tips x

StartingApril2025 · 15/06/2025 08:32

@PoisonIvy89 @PumpKim well done! 👏🏻
well done to all the other weighers over the last few days!
iv had bad wind pains in my stomach over the weekend and very bloated! I had two fizzy drinks on Friday and think that’s the culprit.
I am so hoping I get a loss on the scales this week as it was a very expensive month for next to zero weight loss. Will be getting my 5mg pen on Friday and hope it’s kind to me re side effects as we go on holidays the second week. Someone did comment to me yesterday they thought I’d lost weight so taking that as a positive despite being frustrated with the scales!
I still have at least 2 stones to lose, realistically I’d like 2.5 so feels a long way to go but knew this was going to be a long journey so trying to keep that perspective that slower off is ok too!
Hope everyone has a good Sunday whatever the plans are!

Coventree · 15/06/2025 14:05

Well done @PoisonIvy89, seeing the difference is a big NSV 👏. And congrats on definitely reaching the 1 stone club @PumpKim 🥇. How fab that people are noticing the difference @StartingApril2025 💪

Coventree · 15/06/2025 15:59

To note, I have just had a dried fig… I shall report back if things happen 💩💩💩

PoisonIvy89 · 15/06/2025 17:12

@PumpKim the lower weight number is the right one always! well done and congrats on joining the 1st club🏆

Thanks @wlinewbie0425 @StartingApril2025 @Coventree 😘

@Coventree good luck 💩

Zebracat · 15/06/2025 17:19

Well I’m pleased to report no dried fig necessary. I’ve been, and it was easy!

Sallycinnamum · 15/06/2025 17:50

@PoisonIvy89 yes you're absolutely right. Had a roast dinner today and had half of what I'd normally eat so there must be enough medication to be having some effect.

Slightly joyous moment today when I remembered a summer dress I loved but couldn't get into for years was in the loft. Dug it out and it fits!! It's been washed and is now drying on the line. Very happy!

bridgetreilly · 15/06/2025 17:58

@Zebracat that was meant to be a round of applause not thanks!

Coventree · 15/06/2025 20:40

Oh what a lovely update @Sallycinnamum!

I’m pleased to announce there has been some limited movement post-fig. Not sure if it can be directly attributed, but signs are positive so I shall be sticking with the fig-tastic approach for a few days!

Ricoletti · 15/06/2025 21:34

Happy Sunday all.
I’ve just done my jab. Start of 2nd 5ml pen.

its defo getting more painful to inject , i think its linked to there being less of a ‘cushion’ effect … which is a good thing, but ouch!
also, i bled this time when I removed the needle. Just a little bit. Anyone else get this? Might have scratched self a little bit?

I haven’t lost any weight this week .. booo… i actually gained half a pound, but I’m not counting it as it’s not a full one 🤣🤣🤣

im guessing I’ve just been less careful with food, and I’ve noticed some snacks creeping in in the last few days. Ate at Pizza Hut etc. I’m back on the healthy wagon now and tomorrow is another day!

In really don’t want to start calorie counting again, as it sucks the life out of me, but if I don’t lose anything this week I will dust off the MyFitnessPal app to see what’s what.

also, with slipped disk I’ve defo been less active, avoiding unnecessary trips up and down stairs, not walking doggo as much etc. I wonder if this has stalled my weight loss…

Anyway, onwards and updates… My NSV this week was buying a pair of Jeans (influenced by teen daughter who reliably informs me that only ‘millennial moms’ wear skinny jeans and I need to embrace flairs). The jeans are a size smaller than all my other jeans and they fit !!!

I also did some yoga this week, which was lovely for my poor injured back. i managed well and I didn’t feel like a piece of frozen cardboard. Victory!

PeachSnail · 16/06/2025 08:22

Good morning 🌞
Here I am, back on the MJ bus after an 11 day break (due to chronic SE)

I took some time to recover my strength and to rehydrate and I'm back to feeling good again now 😊

I did a 2.5mg jab yesterday and so far so good... No particular SE at all. I'm definitely feeling suppression (eating small portions and no snacking)... But I can tell I'm going to need to support myself with some will power later in the week... But I'll definitely take that in preference to stronger suppression and hideous SE!!

Today is weigh-in day for me.

SW 87.65kg
CW 79.7kg
GW 65kg

So it's a 1.6kg gain since last week... But I'm entirely happy with that as I was really ill and dehydrated last week.

Feeling positive that I can keep my weigh loss journey going now if I stick to lower doses and make sure I'm careful with any dose increases going forwards 🌈✨

Ricoletti · 16/06/2025 08:24

I’m so glad you are feeling better @PeachSnail. it’s great to have you back x

dozywelshbird · 16/06/2025 08:53

morning all and well done on the losses and NSVs 😁

weigh in today and lost 2lbs taking me to 13lb in total, hopefully next week I can join the 1 stone club

second 5mg jab in a bit although I still have my massive bruise from last week, my stomach will be black and purple if this carries on

Have a great day everyone 😄

Brunocatmon · 16/06/2025 09:11

Morning all.

Been busy renovating but have been reading along.

I just ordered my third 2.5 pen. This dose is still working for me. I am getting more food noise than the first month when I literally couldn't eat but I'm thinking that for me it's good to think about food a bit but be able to say no to things I would have normally eaten in the blink of an eye. As a pp said not one biscuit but a whole pack. Now I dont even have one.

Im not on a training schedule yet as im busy getting my house ready for my dd's returning from overseas on Friday. Im so excited, but once they're settled in I'll be making time for myself so in the short term i'm not worrying about it.

I go on holiday with 4 of my dd's on the 28th June and although my tummy is looser than I would like, it's a lot smaller than it was in April.

Bloody well done to everyone doing this, it's not an easy fix and we should be all so proud of ourselves.

Im off to work now. Last day then annual leave for a week.

Oh and I just hit 2 stone off since April 14th. X

Seahawk80 · 16/06/2025 09:41

@Ricoletti I’ve had that - where I scratched myself somehow with the pen needle and bled. It was fine very quickly.

@Sallycinnamum what a lovely NSV!

@dozywelshbird congrats on your loss 🤞🏻 for the 1 stone club. Welcome back @PeachSnail

I definitely feel like I’m struggling a bit over the weekend. I am good at healthy meals but I want a few wines and crisps early evening in the sun. However we did get pizza yesterday for Father’s Day and pre MJ I was having a whole pizza and some of the kid’s leftovers (they get cheese and marmite pizzas which are 🙌🏻). Yesterday I had 3 slices and felt like I’d had a treat. So things are better overall. I can’t remember who said it just upthread but calorie counting sucking the life out of you really struck a chord with me. I just hate feeling like my life is on pause while i diet. I’m going to to try to really be strict Monday - Thursday which is my working week and then have some treats but not go wild over the weekends.

Scousebloke · 16/06/2025 10:18

@Brunocatmon 2 stone is fabulous. Well done.

dozywelshbird · 16/06/2025 10:57

well done on the 2 stone @Brunocatmon
@Seahawk80 weekends are tricky, well done on the pizza NSV 😁

I find because I take jab on a monday morning that I have zero food interest etc most of the week but that wears off by sat / sun, but I have usually 'saved' a lot of calories through the week (I do generally calorie count) which means I can have a bit more over the weekend if I want, so a meal out and a few glasses of wine or if DH/DS wants a takeaway etc or if we go on a long dog walk and decide on a drink at a pub I don't have to worry.

Hawkmoth · 16/06/2025 15:15

Just been to the pharmacy for my next pen. Going up to 5mg. Have lost 4kg in the 4 weeks according to their scales. But their scales are weighing much lower than mine! I'm keeping a graph of all readings, carefully labelled. I'll be interested to see what the oedema clinic and GP scales come up with.

Pleased with progress, but am knackered now. Not sure if I had COVID or what last week but I was completely floored. This is the first day in a week where I've showered and dressed on the same day!

NSV for me as a pear (bordering on butternut squash) shaped lady: the fattest bit of my thighs is now about as wide as my shoulders 😁
