Just starting up a new thread!

OP posts:
Julesni77 · 15/06/2026 08:57

@JunoRoma I love hearing about reality! So many only post when things are going great and i admit I am one of them - I had intended to count clicks to get my usual 7.5mg from a 10mg pen but I am sorely tempted to just go up to 10mg as I am not gaining but not losing either and am still obese BMI

I am telling myself I am creating a new set point weight after losing 6 stone but in reality its has been such a long time for us all now - hard not to be a little complacent

JunoRoma · 15/06/2026 14:01

@Julesni77 because mounjaro has enabled both my biggest loss and my longest time keeping the weight off, I had allowed myself to think that my weight issues were 'fixed'. In reality, I think that for me this will be a lifelong issue, which mounjaro can help to manage but not 'cure'.

Julesni77 · 15/06/2026 14:48

@JunoRoma I am in exactly the same boat I think I will have to stay on some form of GLP1 forever

ShrankLastWinter · 15/06/2026 14:50

Me too, definitely. Can’t imagine I’d maintain without. I was just so hungry. I love the freedom this gives. But also I feel like the drug rebalances things that were wrong with my system.

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 16/06/2026 17:36

I think I'll also be on this for life (let's hope we get a MJ tablet on future). I've just ordered a 7.5mg pen with the intention of dosing 5mg from it. I've still got a stockpile but keep having to order to keep my prescription live.
still at 9stone 7lb. I don't think without a massive massive effort I'm going to move down from that either.

Goinghome25 · 25/06/2026 16:40

Hi All
Im still on 10mg a week and maintaining around 10.8 although it fluctuates a bit. I did get down to 10.1 but my face got too skinny. I would like to lose 5lbs but thats not happening even on 10mg

ShrankLastWinter · 25/06/2026 22:22

I’ve been on 5mg all this year. Maintaining at BMI 23.5, which for me is about 70kg or 11 stone. Lowest weight has been 68.7kg.

That’s quite thin on me. I still have some squashy bits but I think it’s a question of evening out with exercise rather than losing more.

That said, I’ve tried 6.25 for a couple of weeks now to try to knock off another 1.5kg gradually over the summer. But into 67.X is my limit, because that’s what I weighed at slim 17.

Julesni77 · 30/06/2026 10:27

Hey well I ended up increasing the dose to 10mg and in the last month have lost another half stone to 13.2 BMI 31 - just overweight is tantalisingly close!

Started coach to 5k and and am enjoying it! Only on week 2

If I can be just overweight by our 2 year anniversary I am counting it as a win - I am only staying on 10mg for 2 pens as its very expensive and then think about maintenance even if that is still overweight

JunoRoma · 30/06/2026 18:35

That's great @Julesni77 and well done on starting couch to 5k - I tried a couple of times but never managed to get beyond week 1.

I find it very difficult to do any exercise at all when it's hot. Trying to fit some in this week before it heats up again.

Well done Jules!

I think its a shame that they get more expensive the higher rhe dose. With medication some people need higher doses then others.

I think they should all be the same price so you can be on the dose rhat suits you With no financial penalty.

Does it really cost that much more to manufacture?

OrangeDonald · 06/07/2026 12:41

Im still plodding along at 3.75, with occasional dose of 5mg around my period.

Im at 70kg, which is bmi of 25 so near the top of "healthy" weight but i feel like its the right size for me.

My phone shows me photo memories from past years, and one came up this morning. I almost didn't recognise myself, my face has slimmed down so much.

Slimwannabe · 19/07/2026 22:00

Hope everyone is doing well! Is anyone planning to try the tablet wegovy, r are you all sticking with our beloved MJ?

Slipped into the 11s this weekend, so tantalisingly close to my goal of 11st. Umming and ahhing about reducing it firther to 10st, as this would be BMI25 for me. However, I am a curvy girl with massive boobs (still an F-cup post-WL) and wide hips, so not sure that would be feasible or sustainable!

Still on 7.5mg, 1700cals per day, still doing 10k steps a day (thanks walking pad) and have added pilates and cycling into the mix on weekends.

Itching to get to maintenance now as I really want to see if these habits keep the weight off. I'm planning to continue calorie tracking for eternity the foreseeable as I definitely don't trust myself to eat intuitively yet. Goodness knows why not, I've been doing this for 20 months now!

ShrankLastWinter · 20/07/2026 13:22

All fine here! Have been in maintenance for about a year, during which I’ve lost an extra 4 or 5 kilos.

I’ve just gone back up from 5mg to 6.25/7.5 because I’d like to shift just a bit more body fat, 1-1.5kg of weight. This is probably silly of me.

I’m at BMI 23.5-24. Still psyched out by how much my weight fluctuates. Can be anywhere from 68.7-71.5kg. The lowest was the day after a lymph massage, so I my theory is that it’s mostly about water retention. Supporting this, I’ve realized that I can predict my weight on any given day by how tightly my wedding ring fits.

No plans to switch to tablets, but I’ve been interested to see from the threads here that they seem to be pretty effective, including for relieving inflammatory conditions. That’s good news, even if it’s early days.

Goinghome25 · 20/07/2026 14:36

Hi Everyone
Im still holding steady at bmi25 on 10mg
It works for me but is ££.

I plan to maintain for 2 years on mounjaro after that I may try the tablets.

TrinityWaves · 20/07/2026 17:43

Hey, not much to report here, same as before, maintaining around BMI21 on 2.5mg but I'm on my last pen now so that'll be interesting come September!

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 26/07/2026 07:36

Still plodding on over here.

My BMI is 26 and I'm stuck at 9stone 7. When I used to be naturally skinnier before weight piled on I was always 9stone 3 so in fairness it's probably about right.

id like a little more off, mainly as I've got shocking shocking posture and at 5ft bugger all, rounded shoulders and hunching aren't helping how I look. I've had this since my teens though due to huge huge boobs. 34F! Now only down to 32E. Although I suspect a lot of boob in now skin.
I still carry my excess weight on my stomach and a bit of back fat!
I need to get my ass to the gym. But I'm just not going. So I need to make myself do 5 mins of posture exercises 3 x a day. But I don't. Argh.

still on 5mg but from a 7.5mg pen. Both because it works out cheaper and as yet I've not heard 7.5mgs missing the golden dose like 5s have. It also keeps me in the 8 week cycle for ordering my pens.

can't believe we're all still here kicking along. And for me I'll stay on MJ forever barring no issues with that. No plans to switch to tablet form unless MJ bring one out down the line and then I may try.

ShrankLastWinter · 26/07/2026 08:18

Gym will make so much difference, Merry! Or Pilates or whatever exercise you find that you actually like.

I used to have a quite luxurious-feeling gym when I lived in the uk and I miss it so much. Grotty here

Lindy0070 · 27/07/2026 16:26

Hi all,
Im still here checking in on everyone’s progress. I have finished with MJ now and am trying to focus on getting healthier with more exercise. I’ve just started week 6 of C25K and it’s going really well so far. I even did a couple of sessions when I was on holiday recently.
The reason I am reaching out to you all today is for the first time today, I have not been able to stop eating. I feel constantly hungry and I feel if I carry on like this I’ll be back to square one. My last jab was on 1st July before going away for 10 days. I’ve only put on 2 pounds since coming back home but I have a sinking feeling that my future self is going to fail miserably if I don’t go back on the medication. It’s just so expensive and I really thought my mindset would’ve changed and the food noise would’ve gone. I’m waking up starving and my appetite is back with a vengeance.
Think I’m going to have to resign myself to going back on it 😢
Anyone else struggling or are you all still on it?

ShrankLastWinter · 28/07/2026 20:44

I’m still on it. I don’t think the problem was ever my mindset. I wasn’t hungry all the time because I was thinking wrongly or didn’t understand how to eat or had bad habits. My problem is physiological and the medicine corrects it.

Julesni77 · 29/07/2026 10:40

Hi @Lindy0070 I feel your pain and I am still jabbing! I am on week 4 couch to 5k and I am finding that running makes you hungry! is going back on a low dose out of the question for maintenance

I cannot see me ever being able to stop - I must be the only person who has put on half a stone in a month going up at dose!

I am coming back down to 7.5mg as I feel great on that dose and I felt ill on 10mg

I am just hoping as time goes on they might get cheaper maybe when reta is licensed!

Lindy0070 · 29/07/2026 15:05

@ShrankLastWinter That is very interesting.

Lindy0070 · 29/07/2026 15:10

@Julesni77 I think I’m going to have to get another pen and keep on a low dose for a few weeks. I agree that the running is making me more hungry too. I’m going to keep up with the running and hope that my mindset improves with the food. Thanks for your comments.

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 31/07/2026 14:49

Maybe try again Lindy and order a higher pen and microdose it?

Ive just ordered a 5mg pen and it's not got the golden dose. Im so far in front with stock piling though I can live with it. (Just).

I'll order a 7.5mg again next time I think. Because it is more cost effective for me.

NSV. Met my bro and his GF at the weekend. We ended up parking at opposite ends of the village and walking to meet each other. He commented to his GF how tiny and skinny I look now! Wooohoo.

still not gone to the gym yet though.

Lindy0070 · 31/07/2026 16:02

@MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals
I thinks that’s what I’m going go do. On a positive note though, according to my C25K app, as I’ve finished Week 6 I’m now officially a runner!! I’ll take that as an achievement for now 😂😂
You’re doing really well!
