Just starting up a new thread!

OP posts:
OrangeDonald · 11/03/2026 11:39

I think ive found that 47 clicks of a 5mg pen every 7-8 days is my perfect maintenance dose currently. My weight has been stable for the past month, my portions are slightly larger compared to when i was in the losing phase but its not sending the scales upwards.

I haven't been as dedicated at going to the gym now I'm in maintenance, so that is my new maintenance resolution - to get back into the habit of 3 or 4 visits a week. Although the weather is now getting better so my daily steps have improved.

I don't track calories either - i never have. The majority of my meals are relatively healthy, and I've managed to change my diet enough that my UPF consumption is as low as realistically possible in this modern world.

Im still managing lots of protein, plenty of natural yoghurt, eggs, some meat, lentils, fresh veg, nuts and seeds, etc. Ive got a 100% wholegrain sourdough starter which i use to make bread, pittas, crackers, etc.

My current obsession is sourdough pancakes which I've convinced my self are massively healthy (eggs - protein, whole grain fermented flour - healthy, milk - protein, butter - well, we all need some fats! And i use about the same amount as id use to butter a slice of bread). I quite like savoury version like cheese and spinach fillings, but if I'm craving something sweet then apple and cinnamon, or a banana and some dark chocolate are epic options.

Hi everyone! So today is usually my injection day but I have no mounjaro left - that’s me done! I’ve titrated down and effectively I have been maintaining my weight for the past 3 months even though I wanted another 7lbs off but have come to realise this seems to be my body’s happy weight!

I would have loved to have stayed on for maintenance but can’t justify the costs - I’ve been on a Team RH plan for 24 months but didn’t always use it for calorie tracking but have been doing that consistently for the last 8-10 weeks so hoping that will see me right and I will continue to maintain.

I’ve been on mounjaro since Nov 2024 and my start weight was 207lbs (14s 11lbs) and I’ve been maintaining around 140-143lbs (10st - 10st 3lbs) so a 4.5stone loss which i am delighted with!

Is anyone else now off the jabs?

Good luck coming off.the jabs.

Ive actually just gone back up to 10mg for one pen having maintained for 7 months.on 7.5mg the weight has begun creeping back on...

Oushk emailed yesterday about the new 4 dose pen coming out this month so plan is to lose the 4 or 5lbs before tritating back down. Hope to be down to 5mg by June

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 11/04/2026 13:51

I'm still jabbing. Maintaining at 9st 11ish which is driving me mad. So went up to 7.5mg and dose around 6.2mg. Had a mare with the new pharmacy I picked, went for a mad offer and then they ghosted me for a week, ordered another 7.5 elsewhere and both turned up. So ended up with two full 7.5s, a blooming 5 and need to order again in 4-6 weeks so I don't go back to 2.5.

6.2ish is working on appetite, but feeling lethargic this week and still not shifting weight. I really need to step up at the gym and sort myself out. I want to get around 9stone, but am wondering if this is where my body is happy at!

Julesni77 · 13/04/2026 14:10

Im still here jabbing away - not lost any weight for 2 months but I was silly over Easter prob too much alcohol

My problem (if you can call it a problem) is that I am quite content where I am now even though I am still obese at 14 stone 5 I am a size 14 bottom 16 top and am able to do so much more physically - loving my workouts strength training consistently

I have never been smaller than this as an adult and have no real desire to be a size 10

So not sure what I am trying to say, but I cant afford to go up a dose - I am on 7.5 currently and am planning to just keep on keeping on - do any of you think my provider will say anything about me maintaining with an obese BMI?

No, I don’t think they will. And maybe a period of no or very slow loss is what you need now. With the weight loss so far and all the exercise, you’re doing your health a lot of good. Perhaps you’ve settled into a phase of body recomposition because that is right for the moment.

TrinityWaves · 13/04/2026 21:20

@mjjourney - I'll be really interested to see how you get on without the jabs. I will be coming off in due course as I can't order anymore. I'm not with Team RH but the bloke in the videos on FB does make me laugh.
@Julesni77 - I think maintenance is wherever you're happy and actually if your current provider was funny it would be easy enough to switch to another as you would still quality as a new patient?

I've got 60mg left in the fridge now! I'll be going from 5mg to 2.5mg soon so that'll drag it out. My original target was around 10stone/just over (BMI23) but I'm sitting more 9.5 (BMI21) now and I'm a size 8-10 (which feels a bit insane!) Maintenance cals are 1500-1600 (more for exercise obviously) but it's quite sobering how low they are when you're in the green for weight.

OrangeDonald · 14/04/2026 17:09

Im still maintaining at 3.75. A 5mg pen lasts me 6 weeks, so every time i re order i have a mini panic that my pharmacy will refuse as its been too many weeks... But I've just had my latest order approved.

I'm curious about the new oral tablet WL drugs coming out. It would be fab if they were less expensive, but I feel like my body is now used to the injections and i worry I'd struggle finding perfect balance i currently have of no side effects, no weight gains/losses, etc

ShrankLastWinter · 14/04/2026 17:18

I’ve been thinking about that too. I wouldn’t be ready to switch to tablets yet. It’s all too soon and I don’t want to risk changing anything. Maybe in a year or two.

I’m maintaining on 5mg, using a 15mg pen for nearly 4 months.

Goinghome25 · 16/04/2026 21:52

Its so interesting how different we all are both happy weight wise, and also maintenance dose wise.

I have 2 pens in the fridge just now and have a quiet fear of power cuts!
So I would definitely try the tablets when they become available.

Julesni77 · 17/04/2026 09:29

@Goinghome25 exactly and I think it has a lot to do with whether you have actually ever been a healthy BMI or not - I have not I was a size 14 when I was 10 years old and now am back to a 14/16

I have always had a love of exercising and strength training - I entered a powerlifting competition weighing nearly 20 stone!

So for me to be 14 stone is beyond amazing and that is where so many of us have started our WLI journey

I am enjoying my food (prob on around 2000 cals a day) and this is somewhere I am happy to be and try a body recomp to not weigh lighter but burn fat and gain muscle!

Here's to maintenance however that looks for us!

You sound super strong! That's amazing.
Size 14 can be a totally healthy size to be for some people.

I am at the age where I've gor to choose between my face and my body to a certain extent. If I go towards BMI23 my face gets too skinny so I know my happy place is just into healthy BMI

Goinghome25 · 18/04/2026 18:30

Anyway we are all awesome, where ever we are on our MJ journey, we are healthier for it!

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 20/04/2026 19:15

Im loving everyone's updates.

Ive dropped back down to my 5mg pen as 6.2 was just making me ill and miserable. My issue is I still feel massive when I look in the mirror and I'm obviously not.

Going to see how I do on 5mg this week and restart the gym next week again.

Julesni77 · 22/04/2026 10:04

Well I had my monthly weigh in after a 2 month plateau/slight gain and I have lost a further 5lbs taking me to 13.10 and exactly a 6 stone loss!

I am so surprised! as soon as I had decided I was happy maintaining at 14 stone ish this happened - must have been the lack of stressing about weight loss

this drug works in mysterious ways lol

I am loving all the catch ups!

Goinghome25 · 23/04/2026 11:38

Well done @Julesni77 6 stone is amazing! Life changing stuff.

Are continuing on the medication for maintenance or tapering off now?

How are you getting on with 5mg?

I understand that feeling of looking in the mirror and seeing yourself larger than you really are. I was getting wound up about a 4lb gain over many months instead of being over the moon my size 10 jeans still fit perfectly. So daft! I was a 16 before and 32bmi... Somehow we are programmed to think that we are never good enough.

Im listening to Hags by Victora Smith just now its fascinating to realise how socialised we are!

I am just going to stay on the same dose and see what happens but I am in a totally stress free place can eat well to support my training

I dont want to mess with anything just yet and I do believe I will need to be on some form of this medication for life - know its not cheap - I worked it out as having spent over 3k so far roughly £35 per lb lost but what price your health? I took a second job to pay for these jabs so its not like I can easily afford it but I cannot go back to being nearly 20 stone and miserable

I am really hoping it becomes more affordable in the future as I want to be able to afford it when Im a pensioner!
