Can't believe I'm now a size 6!

Gone from 11st 5 to 7st 9 in 8 months (mounjaro) and I still cannot comprehend that I fit into my size 6 jeans that I've had for over 10 years. Has anyone lost a huge amount of weight and struggled to accept they are a size they never thought they'd be? Even when I owned the jeans, I was always a bit too big for them. Now they fit me perfectly. One thing I am sad about, none of my clothes fit me anymore even the ones I love!

Thanks for replying. I’ll look into how to order an online prescription. I had no idea you could get it if you weren’t massively overweight. 😳 That’s amazing.

If you're 15 stone you are obese no? Not being snarky, but did you not know this?

FuckityFux · 30/04/2025 18:03

I’m 15 stone and my GP won’t prescribe it for me because I have no other weight related health issues. How on earth do fairly normal sized people get a prescription? 😳

Type two diabetes

This makes me want to get mounjaro with a BMI of 18 because I can’t get my weight that low from dieting. Seems unfair.

Oh, yes it's so unfair that people can get medication for a physical disorder that you can't get because you don't have that disorder 🙄
You're on the cusp of underweight already. What on earth makes you think you need medication to lose more weight?

I’ve been on MJ for 6 months , I’ve lost 3 stone , currently 11 10 & actually don’t really to lose much more, my bmi is 26 which is still overweight ( but not obese , yay 🙌 ) , I’d like to hover between 11 and 11 7 , my bras are hanging off
me & I can honestly say I like having a feminine curvy figure , a 12/14 I’d be happy as a pig in the proverbial

Purplefoxes · 30/04/2025 19:55

@outlanderish can I ask what Mounjaro dose you were on to achieve this loss and what diet did you follow, also what exercise regime? Asking because I'm just starting it and would love a weight loss like this! It seems a really quick time though considering you weren't really heavy to start with just a bit overweight? You must have surely had to restrict quite a bit to achieve this? Would it have been possible to do without the mounjaro do you think?

Size 6?!! Bloody hell OP!!

My BMI is now 20.5 and I'm a size 12. I hold weight round my middle sadly!! I'll maybe be a size 10 at 19 BMI if I can get there.

What's your BMI? What shape are you? (I'm guessing not an apple like me!!!)

How did you get to size 6? are you a healthy weight?

Assuming you are not underweight, then well done! Must feel great 👍

I’m not in injections, just clicked randomly, but I’m 5’6 and size 6 and at my last medical check (yearly through work) was told to lose 10lbs of fat or gain 10lbs of muscle! So I think different people hold it differently - I definitely have a slender frame. Annoyingly I eat loads of protein and lift weights but I’ll keep going!

Antihistamine62 · 30/04/2025 20:02

Me! Currently in size 8 🥰

A physical disorder?! Carrying extra fat isn’t a physical disorder and OP obviously doesn’t need it anymore if she’s a size 6. It does feel like a cheat when I struggle everyday to maintain a size 8 and people are taking a drug to get to a size 6, something I’m always striving for but would have to starve for. I’m a recovered anorexic but seeing threads like these is very triggering.

By purchasing online I'm afraid.

Where are the best places to get it online?

I fully intend to stay on it forever if I can. Improved focus, reduction in inflammation, autoimmune condition under control and of course I have all the benefits of being a healthy weight to come.

Improved focus, you say? Interesting! I haven’t heard of that as a side effect!

Are you a UK size 6 or a US size 6

Obesity is a disease. It's a physical disorder. Maybe hide the weight loss forums if you find them triggering?

It’s been pretty well reported that some people with ADHD have noticed an improvement and I think it’s being investigated now

I'm just chuffed to have gone from a size 28 to a 20.
I'm 5ft 7 and severely disabled.. but I'm going to keep going.
I'll be happy at a size 16.. that suits me.. l also have large breasts and not lost much weight from them yet.

OP hasn’t returned which makes me wonder if it was a genuine post.

balloonraces · 30/04/2025 20:35

I was on mj last year and lost about 2.5 stone, I’ve put a 1.5 stone back on !!
I have pcos, does this count as one of the disorders for a lower bmi than 30?

housemaus · 30/04/2025 20:39

Allseeingallknowing · 30/04/2025 18:44

I wonder when I see these huge weight losses, has it taken its toll on your faces?

I thought it might but I'm 3.5 stone down now and my face has just lost the puffy look it had before but it doesn't look sunken (or saggy). I imagine if I were to get to the lower end of the weight range for my height I'd look quite gaunt - even the top end of it is honestly not something I'm sure about at the moment, but I guess that's something I'll deal with when I get there.

countingthedays945 · 30/04/2025 20:41

That doesn’t sound healthy really.

Tohaveandtohold · 30/04/2025 20:44

I was on it for 4 months, went from over 13st and obese bmi of 33 to bmi of 24.8 when I stopped. My bmi is now around 23.8 without the jab, I just continued with my healthier lifestyle but I don’t want to lose any more weight. I’m happy as a size 10 and sometimes 12, love still having my curves, doing lots of weight training and weighted squats, no loose skin, happy overall though I still sometimes wonder how I fit into a size 10.
I don’t ever want to be a size 6 but as you’re happy with this, I’m happy for you.

😲😲😲 I'm 5ft6 I think (I'm 168cm so not sure what that is in feet but I think its close to 5ft6)! If I was size 6 my BMI would be about 16 I think!!! As I said, I'm at BMI 20.5 now and I'm size 12 (and google says I should be size 14 as my waist is 32" which apparently is size 14).

Can't believe you were told to loose fat when u r a size 6!! Wow we r all so different! I hate having a fat stomach and would love to be a size 8 to 10. I don't think I could be a size 6 without being v unhealthy unfortunately, so that will never be a size I will be.

countingthedays945 · 30/04/2025 20:41

They are only worried about the health of people not taking it 🙄 apparently it’s fine to use at size 6 if you were fat but not okay if you have a healthy BMI to start 🤷‍♀️

doodleschnoodle · 30/04/2025 20:46

My face looks so much better now. I’m 22BMI now and I actually have some structure to my face, it’s not just round. I hate looking at my driving licence photo now as it’s awful. The only thing I’m slightly worried about for the future is my neck, but I think that’s going to just be an age thing in the end.

I pay for it. I was overweight and now hit my target. I’m scared to come off altogether now in case I put it back on
