Ughhh. Today has not been good. I’ve eaten lots of different food but in small amounts. Then vommed it all back up a few hours ago. I can confirm that MJ definitely causes delayed gastric emptying.. as I saw the strawberries I had this morning. Now it’s coming out the other end. It is the third day of this jab so I’m sure I’ve read somewhere this is where it peaks in your blood?

May I ask what dosage you are on?

Oh no!! Is this the 5mg?

Yes, it peaks in blood Day 2 / Day 3 I think. If you get the free version of the app Shotsy, it will give your estimated blood levels.

Really hope you feel better soon! X

Good morning Tuesday weighers
SW - 11st 12lbs
CW - 11st
GW - 9st 12lbs

SparklyGlitterballs · 13/05/2025 07:02

Morning everyone.

I'll start with my good news - my new supplier approved the 5mg pen, so waiting for that to arrive any time now.

I'm currently W4D2. I'm a slow loser (can't exercise much due to mobility issues) and have lost 7lb since starting. I'm 61 with a good 5-6 stone to lose, so of course 7lb isn't showing at all really. Are any others on here older with a 'meno belly'? I can't wait to get rid of weight from my belly and thighs, and hope I'll be losing it from the right places.

I’ve lost almost a stone and half and still have quite a belly and thick thighs, when I look in the mirror I don’t see a huge difference but my clothes are fitting better.
7lbs is amazing! Well done!

saxonyv · 13/05/2025 07:07

Im a daily weigher, although im due on my period and through the week i may go up slightly, I just wanted to share that im into a new stone bracket!! I haven’t seen the 12s for a very long time.

Good morning all, w6d1 here and it’s jab day today, first 5mg 😬

SW 13st11.8
CW 13st2.4
GW 10st
Total loss 9.5lbs

I’m basically the same weight I was on my w4d1 weigh in which is and has been somewhat frustrating. Fingers crossed 5mg gets things moving again

Sorry you’re feeling so rough @Potato1234! Hope it’s passed now and today is a better day for you x

fox919 · 13/05/2025 07:12

I don’t know if I read it on here or on a FB group but apparently if you’ve been on low cal and maybe a bit lower than your TDEE it can be worth having a day where you eat a bit more to kick start things again (seems counter intuitive but it works with the water so maybe worth a try)

I lost 3lb in my first week of 5mg compared to 0.6lb on 2.5mg so you may well find it’s what you need to get things moving along.

Suppression is excellent on 5mg. Felt really nauseous last night but I think I need to up my water consumption, I'm having to force myself to eat but my clothes are fitting better and I've been told I look slimmer so that's good!

MissCreative · 12/05/2025 22:31

May I ask what dosage you are on?

5

Lundier · 13/05/2025 08:25

I'm on W5 I think? Hmmm.. could be W6 actually. My jab day has moved gradually from Saturday morning to Monday night and I have been reducing my dose to manage side effects. Just finished my first pen and plan to move up slowly through 2.5 towards 5 over the next 4-6 weeks: 30 clicks, 30 clicks, 40 clicks, 45 clicks, 50 clicks etc. I might turn the pen with pliers to make up the last dose - that's what I did last night as it seemed a waste.

HW: 91kg, SW: 87kg, CW 77kg, rounded

Don't feel much different tbh. Still look exactly the same and still in my fat clothes. I tried on some of my old trousers but they don't remotely zip up.

I've heard that theory too - zig zag dieting? That's another thing I like about the MJ. My calories tend to vary anyway throughout the week, as suppression increases then wanes. Although never to "normal" levels, so that's something to consider 🤔

I stayed the same weight for about two weeks, then started 5mg and loss seems to have started again so keep positive 😊

As mentioned above, I have been trying to eat slightly more (against all instincts when trying to lose weight) and I think it is actually helping, so maybe try that too.

Incognitoburrito88 · 13/05/2025 10:03

Hi Everyone,

I have been stuck at the same weight for over a week now. I’m on my 6th injection (stayed on 2.5mg) and have lost a stone.

I was feeling down about it but I had a bit of a talk to myself this morning on my cycle to work - I’ve lost a stone and am no longer obese, stomach is flatter, jeans much looser and I’ve lost weight off my face, I’m eating really well - good whole foods with minimal UPF, I’m not counting calories and nothing I’m doing is triggering my anorexic daughter (she doesn’t know about the WLI), I have no side effects and I am not constantly thinking about my next ‘cheat’ day.

So does it matter if the scales aren’t moving? I’ve decided not really. I would like to lose 2.5 more stone and I will go up to 5mg next pen if I don’t see some movement but I’m actually loving all the benefits of the medication - I’m not running to food as comfort or as a stress reliever. I don’t have the horrible shame of secretly bingeing on crisps in the evening when everyone is sleeping and I don’t think about food all the time. Even if I don’t lose another pound I don’t think I want to stop taking this.

Squiffy01 · 13/05/2025 10:19

Ordered my next pen and going to try the next dose up and see how I get on. So much easier buying second pen than all the approval stuff of the first one. An hour after I ordered it had said it had been dispatched! Their stock levels aren’t looking great so slightly concerned they won’t have any for next month when I need to order again but shall worry about that if it happens.

Had two scrambled eggs this morning for breakfast in an attempt to get my protein up. As having a think over the last month or so I think I’ve barely been eating much protein at all so will make a proper effort to have more.

GRCP · 13/05/2025 10:59

I’ve decided to stay on 2.5mg but the pen I have ready in the fridge is 5mg. Does anyone know how I can do an accurate half dose? Thank you!

I’ve had to work out Kg to stones and pounds (UK) - to my calculations you have lost similar to me - one stone two pounds in about 6 weeks )If I’m correct with my calculations). I’m absolute delighted with what I have achieved so far. I have stayed on 2.5 so far - I’m on dose 7 tomorrow but I need to increase to 5 for the next pen. I am thinking of doing as you intend because my friend told me going straight to 5mgs was too much in
One go. I understand the clicks but if you do 40 clicks for example. The counter will not go back to 0. Do you just ignore that, put the pen back
jn the fridge until next time and continue counting clicks even though it will pass 0?

Lundier · 13/05/2025 11:25

The counter always returns to 0 once depressed, regardless of how many clicks you turn. It doesn't extend out to 1 - that marker is just showing you 60 clicks so if you do fewer then you won't reach the 1 marker.

I have just written a lengthy reply to you but it doesn’t seem to be on here!

I’m 62, and never thought of my large belly as a ‘memo belly’!!! Probably because I have always had a large belly! I have a similar amount of weight as you to loose. Fortunately I am able to walk, although just 30minutes before breakfast - most days.

I am w6d6 and have lost 1 stone 2 pounds so far, but I have stayed with the 2.5 pen. I will be increasing to 5mg next time though because I seem to be eating a bit more, but still loosing but maybe slower.

I make many garments for myself so frequently take measurements. From the start I have gone down
2” from bust
2” from waist
2” from hips (full hips)
2 1/2” from biceps!!!!!!

in addition- the awful pain in my knees, particularly my right knee has more or less gone; I have not had a migraine headache for 7 weeks (normal headaches but not migraines); not taken co-codamol for over 7 weeks (embarrassed to say I had a slight addiction to codeine). So in addition to weight loss, I am so happy with mj!!!

IncessantNameChanger · 13/05/2025 12:51

Just done 3.75 on my 5mg pen. Making sure I drink plenty today.

I have just written a lengthy reply to you but it doesn’t seem to be on here!

Oh no, can you summarise?

MissCreative · 13/05/2025 13:36

Lundier · 13/05/2025 13:08

Oh no, can you summarise?

Ok! So. After converting kg to stones and pounds, providing I worked it out correctly, I think we have lost similar. I’m w6d6 but still on 2.5. I have another 2 injections to go but then want to go to 5. My friend said it was difficult going from 2.5 to 5 so suggested I do it gradually. Therefore doing it your way sounds ideal.

I think we have to loose more in order to see a huge difference. My husband can see I have lost some from my face but other than that he’s not sure.

Like you, I have tried smaller clothes - for example my size 20 jeans are falling off me and I have to wear a belt, but when I try my size 18 ones, They aren’t comfortable at all. But, as a seamstress I’m used to keeping records of my measurements. Since 6 weeks ago, I have lost

2” from my full bust (it comes off from the back area)
2” from my natural waistline
2” from my hips (fullest part)
2 1/2” from biceps

So I think we have to be patient!
