Evening all,
Injection day for me, have just taken my 3rd dose of 2.5. Lost 2lb last week but I know that I didn’t drink as much water as I should have done so will step that up this week.

I am getting emails from Mediexpress to remind me to order my second pen, and am debating about ordering another 2.5, or going up to 5. I’m having good suppression so far with no real side effects, so wonder if I should just stay on this dose rather than rushing to up the dose. What did you all do?

I thought I would stay on 2.5 but my suppression really started to wane as per pp in week 4, I thought about taking the 3.75 but couldn't be bothered with the faff and just took the 5mg, glad I did as zero SE and suppression is excellent again.

I’m sorry Cerberus, I hadn’t intended to come across as if I was annoyed or anything and I wasn’t offended. Sincere apologies for any upset I may have caused anyone!

I think sometimes we don’t always consider different perspectives (just because we think what we think!) and was just trying to give an alternate perspective based on my own experience. Honestly I often just feel sorry for myself and others like me that feel that desperation and self hatred, and so tend to meet those people with empathy and understanding, even if I can see that they might be doing it wrong or going about it in an unhealthy manner. I do understand the concern you mentioned, because there absolutely will be people out there that push the boundaries of what is safe.

Yeah I've also seen a LOT of people on there advocating about lying about height or weight so they can get prescribed as they don't meet the requirements....

It's a tough one. I ordered 5mg after 2 weeks on 2.5mg to make sure I had it in time. Suppression majorly kicked in week 3 so I had to go back to supplier and order another 2.5 (5 had already been delivered). Then period hit and everything went out of the window and was snacking a lot.
Still on 2.5 (jab 6, jab 1 out of the new pen) but not got the Suppression and lesser satiety so debating whether to use the 5 next time or order another 2.5. But I am still losing. So I can deal with the hunger cues and less satiety as long as I'm still losing.... (took a sneaky midweek weigh in this morning and lost since Tuesday)

Saying that I've currently got a baileys in hand for the first time in over 2 months so that loss will prob go out of the window by Tuesday lol

I have a short cycle too, in a (what seems like) world full of long cycled ladies it’s nice to meet another shortie!

I didn't know until I went for fertility treatment, that short cycles are a symptom of endometriosis. If memory serves, it's because endo leads to too little progesterone, so the body can't keep thr womb lining in place as long as it's supposed to 🙃

Good idea re your measurements btw (and congratulations on your NSVs!!). I've never been super worried about looking at the number on the scales, but for some reason, the idea of measuring my non-existent waist fills me with dread. Would be amazing to see it fall though, and it's potentially as good a measure of progress as actual weight loss... especially if I up my excersize as I plan to 🤔

You'll never undo weeks of good work with a glass of Bailey's @Cerberus1808 ! I imagine you'll be full after not too many, so enjoy it 😉

My suppression was waining in W3, so I took 3.35ml for my 4th dose by using a syringe to draw up the extra. Suppression was better, but it was clear I needed to move up to 5ml.

Has anyone else noticed that the suppliers haven’t informed your GP surgery yet? I keep checking my NHS app to see if they’ve uploaded any letters but there’s nothing. Are they just very delayed at doing this? I know I can just ring my GP surgery up and let them know myself but thought the prescribers had a duty of care to inform the GP

I've just checked my NHS app and they have written to my GP. 4 weeks after I started though.

Which supplier was it? My first order was almost 6 weeks ago with Asda, second Medexpress and nothing from either

Med Express!

@Squiffy01i would get your iron levels checked. I had similar symptoms )and heavy legs walking upstairs) and was properly anaemic!

BUPA wrote to my GP at the same time as giving my first prescription - I also saw a BUPA GP to get it prescribed and had a one to one meeting with a weight loss coach. Next coaching meeting is in 10 days but next BUPA GP review in September unless I need it earlier. It's more expensive than most but it feels a bit more 'caring' too.

I fretted for a while about the cost until my husband reminded me we pay for dental care and we both paid for laser eye correction surgery ... And that this is an investment in health. Considering the vet bills we have just paid too we're investing a lot in health!

My NHS GP weight loss partner MoreLife has just written to tell me I don't fit the profile for being prescribed Wegovey (which BUPA told me would be less effective for me than Mounjaro) at 50 BMI. So I will end my relationship with MoreLife as their coaching sessions werent right for me either.

Happily we can afford for me to take this decision but I know that's not the case for all.

If you were a Friday jabber and going on holiday on Monday and get home
the following Tuesday would you take your pen with you for you next jab on Friday still??

Yeah was glad to report that had no untoward effects stomach wise from it either. Slowly testing to see what I can and cannot tolerate while I'm on this 🙂

Doidontimmm · 11/05/2025 07:49

@TC4 I don’t know either, I’m Friday too and don’t get home till the following Sunday very late. Don’t really want to take with me.

How many weeks until you go? Are you able to push the days back?
I started off on a Monday but have moved back to a Saturday ready for holiday, I just move the jab day back every other week

SweetChilliGirl · 11/05/2025 08:01

I've just bought this so I can jab on holiday.

Morning. We went out for a meal last night with friends and I just need to get so much better at this! I just cannot eat a main course sized meal, I was painfully full after just a few mouthfuls and even though I made a healthy choice, I wasted so much of it which I really hate.

I have a few nights out in the coming weeks and I think perhaps the thing to do is order a starter and side salad going forward.

I’ve started fast 800 after recommendations on here so I can genuinely use that as a reason when questioned. And I will be questioned because my friends know I love my food!

Just been for a run with the doggies and my daughter on her pony before the sun gets too hot. I’m now back to the size I was in 2021 so have a few more summery things starting to fit!

Anyone had any supply issues? Due first 5mg on Friday. Popped into local Tesco this afternoon and it’s out of stock with their supplier. Kept what was left in syringe of 4 weeks 2.5 mg. Is this the golden dose? Any suggestions of where to get 5mg for Friday gratefully received 🙏

I've just had an email from my supplier saying to order my next pen in plenty of time as they are having supply issues. It's inevitable really as more and more people take it up but I hope we don't end up with a major issue like HRT or ADHD meds.

Lol I go tomorrow 😂😂 I didn’t really want to change the days anyway as it works for me and if and when I’ve felt rubbish it would be on a Sunday - thank you though x

It’s hard to decide isn’t it

TheNinthLock · 11/05/2025 09:12

Hello all!
W4D4 and the constipation is real!! Am on day 3 of no poo despite taking dulcolax before bed last night. Am hopeful something will move this morning…..
Suppression waning this week so shall aim to move to 5 next week, provided I get this constipation sorted!
Need to decide next week whether to try and extract the extra dose. I bought the needles but am a clumsy mare so don’t feel entirely confident ….

SausageRoll90 · 11/05/2025 09:19

@TC4 if it was me I would take it with me to do while away and just take it in one of those pen cooler bags someone else has posted in a pp. I fly on a Friday so i think I'll inject the Thursday night as it'll just be 24hrs earlier and I'll do in the following Friday then when I'm back. But if I was going any other day and jab was mid week away id just take it with me. Although my OH is type 1 diabetic so we take injections and needles etc with us anyway so it's no bother to take 1 more 🤷🏻‍♀️

SausageRoll90 · 11/05/2025 09:22

W5D2 for me and suppression hasn't been so good for me so far this week despite moving to 5mg but I'm due on soon so it HAS to be linked. I've had good suppression on days 1-4 after every dose so far so seems odd that I wouldn't on a higher dose. Hormones really suck don't they.

I mean I do get full with food and can't eat as much but then I'm hungry again a few hrs later. I'm trying to be kind to myself about it tho and I think I just need to focus on protein snacks because they're much more filling.

I've still got the fatigue I get after a jab tho so I know it's working just hormones making me hungry!!!

fox919 · 11/05/2025 09:34

Question for those who are doing 3.75 from their 5 pen please - how are you finding food noise? And how does it compare to 2.5 for you?

Particularly relevant if you didn’t find 2.5 amazing for it. I had maybe 2 weeks of 2.5 where my food noise disappeared (weeks 2 and 3 I think)which was bloody wonderful and that is what I’m looking for, and that is what will help
me the most I’m certain of it. Really struggled the last couple of weeks with lots of food noise, and it shows on the scale! I only got just over 2.5 from bonus dose and I’m w5d6 now. I’ve got my 5 pen waiting but trying to decide whether to do the full 5 or 3.75. I had originally planned to do 3.75, but it will obviously mess up the number of doses in the pen a bit if I try 3.75 and find it too weak and then want to do 5. I’ve also been pretty lucky with SEs and nervous about that not being the case after doubling dose! Also don’t want to rush up through the doses as I’m worried about reaching the top too fast and having no where else to go iyswim..
