What’s everyone doing instead of eating? Seriously my life resolves so much around food and I didn’t even realise. We’d go out a couple of times a week for lunch or tea. It was exciting and I looked forward to it. Or I loved nothing more than to get in my pjs and watch tv after a long day with a nice treat. I’ve been trying to do non-food activities e.g. going to baby classes, going for walks - I mean even those activities would usually involve a coffee or a pub lunch at the end of it… I feel a bit lost!

I’ve weirdly turned into a bit of a feeder😬
I keep cooking for my husband and just eat a tiny bit myself. I bought a bag of four doughnuts for him last week! Good job he’s an exercise addict and just wears it off.
I’m enjoying the garden, reading, walking the dogs in the sunshine. Plus still working part time. It’s a lot harder for those of you with little ones though I’m sure!
We would definitely been to the pub for a few drinks in the sun pre Mounjaro though.

Don’t beat yourself up, it’s done now and the way you feel you probably won’t do it again. But maybe as you said you have had good suppression today maybe you haven’t eaten enough to keep you going today/this week. If it’s weigh day tomorrow (same for me) you are probably due your next jab as well and it’s normal for the suppression to wear off near the next dose time. Maybe just try to have some “healthy” snacks around for when this happens again!!

but like I say dont beat yourself up, I’ve also had half an Easter egg tonight, and I had dinner ok it was a homemade vegetable savoury rice but I was being lazy and just chucked some chicken dippers in the air fryer to go with it. It’s ok to still eat we need to we just need to learn to listen to our body’s and train our body’s to want other things but it’s not an instant thing!!

Totally agree, I’m thinking about my time on Mounjaro as a training period, you will definitely make mistakes and that’s part of your leaning. Being on it for a long time will retrain your brain, your palette and your habits. I’m too scared of the SEs to binge on anything, but having some nasty consequences might put you off a bit next time 😊 I’m a behaviourist and this is how you bring about change. The longer you do it (practice and rehearse your new good habits) the better!

Morning ladies. Week 5 day 5 for me and 20lb lost. I started on the 5mg on Monday. I go on holiday on the 26th of June and ideally would love to loose another 10lb before then which seems doable. I’m still eating one meal a day and the only carbs is from veg/ salad/ beans etc. This has always worked for me but I usually find myself starving during the day and overeating at my dinner where I’m not really hungry during the day. If I am I’ll have some cottage cheese and cucumbers. And I’m definitely not overeating at dinner anymore. Not sure how I will go about maintaining but I’ll think about that once I loose the rest. 11 stone is a good healthy weight for me and my BMI at that is still 25 but I would look fat too skinny any lower. I carry most of my weight in my legs.
hope everyone is doing well

saxonyv · 09/05/2025 07:44

For those that have tried different injection sites, which did you find the best?
I’ve only injected into my stomach so far, but ordered another 2.5 and now wondering whether I should have gone up, but thinking if there is an injection site that gives more suppression I might be ok

That’s an amazing loss, well
done! 👏 How near are you to starting maintenance?
I’ve got about 10lbs to go I reckon. Though my bmi is currently still in the overweight range ☹️ if I get to 10st I’ll be at the top of the healthy range. It’s very much going to be how I look and when the muffin top has disappeared. But I’m already worrying about maintaining, I’ve just started my 5mg pen and hardly eating which I definitely won’t be able to keep up when I’ve finished Mounjaro.

Pepperwaggytail · 09/05/2025 07:48

Curvyandstrongblondie
I meant how long will it take you to get there? You’re losing a lot faster than I am. 😊

Curvyandstrongblondie · 09/05/2025 07:57

I’ve 10lb to loose and then I’ll be happy. Im hoping I’ll get there in 6 weeks, before my holiday. Even loosing 2lb a week I’ll have 12lb before then. My friend lost 3 stone and come off altogether around 6 weeks ago and just worked out her TDEE and stayed consistent has only gained 2lb probably gylgocen. I’m hoping I can do the same.

SausageRoll90 · 09/05/2025 08:16

Morning guys.
So today's jab day and I'll be going up to 5mg this evening. I've decided not to weigh this morning despite it being my weigh day because of my overindulgence last night I KNOW I didn't eat enough to gain fat so any scales change will be water. So with that, feeling bloated and having quite alot of food noise this morning I think getting on the scales isn't good for me today.

I'm taking my official weigh in from Wednesday. End of Week 4 (3.75mg)
CW: 16st 1.5
W1: -4lb
W2: -1lb
W3: -1lb
W4: -2lb
Total loss on MJ: -8lb
Overall loss: -14.5lb 🙌🏻🩷

Lundier · 09/05/2025 07:23

A pound of fat is ~3500 calories, as I'm sure you know!

13 pounds in 5 weeks is a deficit of 45,500 calories. To lose that on a 'perfect' diet, a daily 500 calorie deficit, would take 91 days, and you'd be starving the whole time. You've done it in 35 days, or 1/3 of the time. That's pretty fast.

Thank you 🙏🏻

SeaDippingandLattes · 09/05/2025 08:25

Oh man I’m still I’ll 🥸 so far all four kids are ok and husband ok still so I’m wondering if it’s a bug or the mounjaro. It has coincided with the sulphur burps (wrank). Has anyone else been ill on it for this long? I’ve cancelled my travel for this week and booked into next week but hoping that I eventually recover from this and don’t go on shitting everywhere forever 😂 don’t know what to do about next dose on Monday if I do become well before then….would people leave it for a few days to get through work and then take 2.5 again on the Friday when I’m back home?

It’s good you’ve found something you enjoy! My hobbies are drawing and dancing but difficult to do with a little one. Oh you can definitely still go to the pub 😁

If you like drawing could you do something on a tablet (if you have one) I know a few people who draw on their iPads as it's easier with kiddos and I personally enjoy a colouring app.

Time for my weekly check in - I weigh daily and have started tracking my weekly average weight as well.

starting weight 99.3kg
starting average weight 98.3kg
todays weight 91.6kg
this weeks average weight 91.9kg
total loss by weight 7.7kg (around about 16lb)
total loss by average weight 6.4kg (around about 14lb)
(I have a target weight of about 80kg and will see how I feel then, but my first target is to get to my weight at the start of my pregnancy in 2021/2022 which is 90kg)

I am going to be doing jab number 7 tonight. I am going on holiday on Monday so I was undecided on what to do about my next 2 jabs as in do I take the full dose, do I take a smaller dose, do I take it with me and do my next jab out there or if I do a smaller dose do I take it with me and top up half way through the week 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ any thoughts??

Thank you @TC4 and @Pepperwaggytail for you your reassurance and kind words, means alot. I definitely didn't feel good for it so it's a huge deterrent from doing it again. I'm actually due my period in about 5 days ISH so this is my first experience of PMS since being on MJ so I think that's a contributing factor too.
But definitely need to make sure I'm eating enough and make sure I'm feeding my body appropriately 👍🏻 although I need to remember that I've been doing this for 4 solid weeks now and I've only had 1 overindulgence/binge which is great so small wins 🤷🏻‍♀️

wordywitch · 09/05/2025 09:35

I’ve been thinking about what I would say if/when someone comments on my weight loss and asks how I did it. I am not entirely comfortable sharing that I’m on MJ but nor am I comfortable outright lying. So I’ve decided to say something along the lines of ‘Sorry, I don’t participate in unsolicited discussions of my weight or my body. I’m trying to break the bad habits ingrained by diet culture and focus on how I feel, not how I look.’

WinterOnItsWayOut · 09/05/2025 09:37

W5 D1
SW:12.12
TW: 10.12 (2 stone loss)

W1: - 6lb
W2: - 3lb
W3: - 2lb
W4: - 3lb (total 1 stone 💪)
W5: -3lb (total 1 stone 3lbs)

Really happy with losses so far. Am on holiday the first week of June and have bought a new 👙 so have extra motivation to make this work!

I’m still on 2.5mg as it’s working well for me. I’m eating very low carb (have done this many times and lost well although not as quickly). This def helps cut food cravings and I know can be sustainable if I actually knuckle down to continuing post loss 🤞🤞. And I’m drinking sooooo much water which def helps the body process fat and excrete it (another key tenet of low carbing)

The biggest help for me alongside definite suppression is the lack of interest in alcohol which has been my downfall after stressful work days or fun evenings out. I’m not really missing it which is fab.

Congrats to everyone else on losses and keep drinking the 💦

Me too…I’m just going to say I’m trying balanced diet and cutting out sugar - it’s the truth!

my close friends know - this is for when people I come into contact with notice

MJafterWLS · 09/05/2025 11:28

So - official weigh day/jab day today!

This week (week 5) I lost 4.8lbs! Taking my total loss now to 24.2lbs Grin My BMI is now 28.7!

Going to jab 3.75 out of my new 5mg pen tonight, as feel like I’m definitely losing enough not to warrant going all the way up to 5. Clearly the golden dose I did last week worked!!

If you're happier saying that then you go for it.

Personally I'll probably say similar to @Marmaladelade and just say I've been making healthier choices and calorie counting. Because I have.

Just remember what I shared yesterday - mounjaro may have quietened the (food) noise but YOU re-wrote the story. The changed you made is what resulted in the weight loss. X

Incognitoburrito88 · 09/05/2025 07:15

Hi everyone - it’s my official weigh in today although I’m a daily weigher - please could someone look at my numbers and provide reassurance!

SW 13st 7

wk 3 - 12 st 13 ( - 8lb) - on holiday so didn’t weigh for 3 wks!
wk 4 - 12st 9 ( - 4)
wk 5 - 12 st 8 (- 1)

Total loss - 13 lbs

Think I just feel disappointed it’s not faster - I’ve been hovering around 12st 7 all week so was sad it’s come up today. Wondering if I should have gone up to 5mg this week instead of staying on 2.5. Please can someone say reassuring and sensible things.

Also I’m not calorie counting because it drives me mad but I’ve dieted before (many times) and I’m sure I’m in a deficit.

That’s a brilliant and sensible loss. Imagine if someone had told you a year ago you could lose almost a stone in 5 weeks!!! Just keep doing what you’re doing. I’ve only lost half a stone in 3 weeks so you’re doing better than me. Well done.

Incognitoburrito88 · 09/05/2025 12:53

@Summerbay23 thank you. I do think that most of the time but then I see posts like the one a couple above where someone has lost 24lb in the same amount of time and I worry it’s not working for me or I’m doing something wrong… I know comparison is the thief of joy etc etc but it’s hard not to compare. But then reading your half a stone in three weeks I think ‘oh that’s great!’ So I do realise I’m being irrational!!

SausageRoll90 · 09/05/2025 13:27

I could have written that last comment @Incognitoburrito88 - its so easy to feel disappointed when others are losing so much more in the same time frame. I've also heard that the pace of weight loss is also to do with the dose your body needs of the MJ. some people don't need much to have great results where others need more. Its normal not to be at the optimum dose at this stage... that's what I'm hoping for anyway, and things will pick up once I'm on a higher dose/right dose for me.

Bellsize · 09/05/2025 13:28

I have lost 18lb to date (6th jab) - BMI just nudged out of obese at 29.7 so officially 'overweight'

SW 13st 4lb (84kg BMI 33)
CW 11st 13lb (76kg BMI 29.7)

I have a significant party at the end of June so 7 weeks - think I will start the exercise now to tone up, save/build muscle and preserve my BMR - if I continue to shift a kg a week ... I could hit 11st which is 70kg and a 'healthy' BMI for my height.

Potato1234 · 09/05/2025 15:11

Little victory today - the past year or so I’ve been getting annoyed when I put make up on that there’s been no definition in my cheeks and I stupidly thought it was my make up 🙈 turns out I had just filled out my cheekbones… which are now back!

Your losses are great - a stone in 5 weeks is brilliant.

Just to give you some reassurance, a lot of my 24lb loss can be attributed to reduction in inflammation - my I typically hold a lot of additional weight around my joints because of my rheumatoid arthritis, but this has massively reduced over the past couple of weeks (I hope this is due to MJ, but could also be coincidence). I’m fully expecting my losses to slow down - and to be honest I hope that they do, as I’m aware of the side affects that come from rapid weight loss!
