Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.

I'm not sure what's changed this week, I'm 6 days post Week 6 jab (jabbed a day early last week because of the long weekend) and haven't felt any tapering of suppression, I just had to absolutely force myself to eat some chicken, salad and fruit for lunch. And that's after a run this morning. Surely I can't still be full from yesterday's food? Or maybe I am. Feel like food is sitting in my stomach and not moving, which I haven't really felt before. It's quite uncomfortable, and making me a tiny bit nauseous.

Checking in after a a crazy busy Easter holidays. I am feeling very proud that I haven't put any weight on despite being in environments and with people where I would have usually gained at least 5lb and massively overindulged. I have then lost a bit around the holidays.

TW 12st 4 for the 70lb in my username and to just squeak on to a borderline healthy BMI but would actually like to see the 11s.

Coming to the end of week 8 and have taken 4 jabs of 2.5 and 4 jabs of 5 so far.

I know lots of people are sticking on 2.5 or 5 but I have just continued following the prescribed plan because I am paranoid of making the wrong desicion and finding myself desperate halfway through a pen. So my first 7.5 arrives tomorrow for first jab thursday.

Only side effects are feeling cold (nice antidote to the perimenopausal overheating!) feeling absolutely wiped out on a Saturday (jab on a thurs night) and only going to the loo once every 2-3 days rther than daily but I am concentrating on a higher protein and lower carb diet whcih has something to do with it I am sure.

Not avoiding carbs but generally having rice/pasta once a day instead of that plus bread or bagels for the other 2 meals a day. I want to make this as sustainable an eating plan as possible. That means I did also have wine on a few occasions over the last couple of weeks for the first time. I enjoyed it but didn't wnat more than a couple of glasses max on a day. Unheard of for me. Same with dessert. Loved it wnen I chose to have it. Wasn't bothered about having it unless it was something I genuinely love.

My next personal mini goal is to get below 14st10lb which is the lowest I have managed in at least 7 years. I have got their twice in that time and quickly bounced back up again. I will be ecstatic if i can move past it!

Now wondering if I need to stay with 2.5mg when my 5mg pen arrives next week? If I feel any fuller than this I’m really not going to be able to eat enough to function

Hello twin! If you had told me 28 days ago that this is where I would be then I would have been ecstatic. I still can't quite believe it to be fair.

I was similarly worried about going up to 5mg because I was going to a wedding and a pre-wedding party and all sorts and had only read about terrible side effects but it was absolutely fine. Hoping 7.5 will be the same.

Fingers crossed we can both say goodbye to those weight numbers forever!

Same suppressions is lasting longer so far on 5mg for me , delayed the jab a day this week as wanted a relaxed Sunday with some wine and suppression remained strong with the boost today (jabbed on day 8 yesterday, jab 7)

i have no SE except fullness (not cold today like I normally am day after jab)

I may have another SE potentially jab day (I jab evening 3-4 hours before I go to sleep) and sleep quite bad and keep waking up only happens on jab night and rest of the week sleep like undistirbed and have stopped snoring on MJ. But on jab night before going to sleep I get really bad enxiety , about random things almost like hallucinations where imagine one thing or the other with it being bad or something I have done and have anxiety about. Really odd feeling but eventually goes away and I fall asleep , and only is before going to bed on jab day but is getting stronger with each jab.

Maybe do the jab just before sleep so by time it’s affecting you you would be asleep hopefully x

@IngoGreen @Bipaloss I'm on 5mg and am planning to go up for my next pen, but think @Bipaloss has just put her finger on it, I'm used to the suppression starting to wear off by this time post jab, and it isn't, it's lasting for longer on 5mg, I think that's what I'm feeling on a day largely sat at my desk.

My Mon/Tue/Wed diet is usually heavier in both carbs and protein because I front load my exercise routine in the week so eat more calories at the front of the week to fuel for that - so think that the MJ is building up to the point of close to full week impact and I need to even my calorie intake over the week more. I'm averaging 1200 net calories (ie adjusted for calorie burn from exercise) but not even over days - maybe that's what I need to change.

Although some of what I'm feeling is definitely just too much food in general yesterday 😂

@TheBossOfMe & @IngoGreen same here, I'm on week 5, due jab 6 on Thursday and I feel so incredibly full, I've barely eaten since my injection Thursday and had the worst reflux, ordered some peppermint oil capsules that should be arriving today. I stayed on 2.5mg so it's not that I've increased. I wonder if it is food sat in the stomach. The worst thing is scales had the nerve to go up 0.4 kilos and have just come back down today to a maintain. I've also been sweaty rather than cold and it's not totm that finished last week .

Weird stuff this MJ. I couldn’t deal with the jeopardy of daily weighing, it would do my head in. What a cheek to go up when you’re feeling so full. I have had hot at night and cold in day. I think I’ll get the shotsy app so I’ve got a better idea of what’s going on inside with the doses and half life etc.

As I said before I am a savoury person.
My daughter offered me a small piece of her Easter egg.

I put it in my mouth and it was disgustingly foul, it tasted sweet, chemically and the smell turned my tummy.

Never in my life have I had the same reaction to food, a food that I could easily polished off, I have no idea if it’s because I have not eaten anything to processed or as sweet since starting MJ

Just be careful , I didn’t eat for 28 hours on 5mg day 2 , 2 weeks in a row and fainted almost twice . this is my third week on 5mg and have minimum of a protein shake mid morning which has helped keep the sugar level up

@SmallSoupcon crikey, gotta be careful, need to fuel. We need to take care of ourselves and take it steady.

I just downloaded the shotsy app. Of course stuff behind premium paywall but basic version lets you put in lots of info and does show the amount of MJ in your system over the week.

I should stop buying stuff I ‘need’ to do this. So far, MJ obvs, gym kit, new bigger water bottle (that doesn’t even fit in the water bottle holders at the gym ffs!) better swimming towel, gym membership, book on eating, magnesium, psyllium husk, collagen, tonnes of nuts, probiotics, mint tea. I have even thought about getting my teeth straightened. Enough now.

Thanks for your heads up - I should have added that I've eaten too much over Easter due to low suppression so a single day of fasting to counterbalance calories isn't extreme in that context.

Before the 2.5 lost its suppression for me, I was eating a balanced 12-1400 calories most days. I have done the odd fast in the past without issue - however, I don't and won't be making a habit of it.

hopefully 5mg will do its trick for you . I lost 1.9lb the last 2 weeks on 2.5 but have lost 5lb first 2 weeks on 5mg ☺️

I toom my first 5mg jab on Friday and seems the effect has only started kicking in today this time. I had zero fat greek yoghurt and some blueberries for breakfast. Nothing for lunch but have beeb out for tea and has 1 chicken breast, v small and salad. I feel like I've completely overindulged and ate more quickly than usual on MJ. Feel stuff and like I've had a 'bad day' but I haven't! it plays with your mind 😅

W7D2 for me - still on 2.5mg and I don’t think I’m feeling much suppression anymore. I kept thinking about food over the weekend and felt like I ate too much (especially as I couldn’t justify it being offset by my long run as I’ve cut back distance ready for the marathon on Sunday). Was surprised that I lost 1.5lb this week, especially as I spent most of last week quite constipated ans bloated but I have finally had a couple of satisfying trips to the loo after upping the fruit juice intake 🫣. Have made it to 13lb loss now - down to 11st 9lb.

I’ve ordered 5mg for my next pen. I might try to do 3.75mg using the golden dose after the marathon at the weekend. I’m keen to hit the weight loss a bit harder after the race - I’ve got a big holiday in July and want to shift another stone or so before then. But maybe I’ll stick with 2.5mg for one more week as I will need to refuel - perhaps I should write off weight loss for a week! Decisions… decisions!

Hi all, so many people are doing so well! Currently nearly a stone off and just done jab 4- it’s such a relief to feel even slightly
more like myself!!

Is anyone else finding alcohol is now giving them horrific hangovers? I’m quite fed up about it tbh.

Yeas, good point. I'm lucky I haven't had many side effects so haven't had to buy much and had gym equipment (all the gear!). And am a total clothes hoarder - I'm wearing a skirt today that I bought over 25 years ago. I appreciate in the short term it's an expense for some. But over the longer term, it must pay off, surely? Not least in health benefits and the associated cost saving with those?
