New thread for all of us.

Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader Amish farm 😂So true.

@SmallSoupcon Very similar maintenance plan for me. I'm using the time on MJ to completely re-frame what a plate of food needs to look like for me, otherwise the risk of regaining is high. It can't just be eating less of empty calories all the time (but not denying myself if I actually fancy something) - it needs to be a rebalance of my diet.

@Fatmumslim01 Low mood is a side effect, lots of people talking about it. Glad that SE has passed for you. Personally I prefer to jab just before the weekend to keep suppression higher over the time when I tend to overindulge. I don't want Monday morning regrets!

Having said that, tiny bit of weight gain today because I had a pub lunch and then taught a cookery class for friends and hosted a dinner party to eat all the food, with equivalent volumes of wine, so I'm ok with that. Less than half a pound which isn't significant - another super busy social day today, but less food centric so hopefully I can keep any gains minimal. Weigh in day is Monday - I'll be fine if this is a no loss week. They happen.

Christmashope19 · 27/04/2025 10:56

So I bit the bullet and went up to 3.75 today on my 2.5 pen
Have felt very little suppression this week
fingers crossed this dose is nice to me!
Will weigh in tomorrow x

lilymty · 27/04/2025 12:09

Feeling abit low today.

This is week 10 for me. I have now lost 33lbs & 10% of my starting weight which im amazed with but im it seeing any difference to my body. Obviously I know the weight must be coming off to be 33lbs lighter but I cant tell at all.

No one has mentioned it either. I know people talk about weight less now but people know im trying to lose weight so wouldn't be unusual for them to comment.

I think it just highlights for me how big the journey is going to be for me to get to my goal weight.

I have had a couple of weeks that I have felt low and emotional it’s not nice but it will pass
33lbs is absolutely amazing well done you!!
I have lost just under 10lbs and my clothes are starting to feel not as tight
its a start was hoping for more but never mind
my biggest problem so far has been constipation and my feet are constantly freezing so i can’t really moan too much
well done on your weight loss x

Afternoon everyone, it was my 5th weigh in on Friday . I lost another -2lbs, taking my total loss to -22lbs.
Wk 1: -12lb
Wk 2: -4lb
Wk 3: -1lb
Wk 4: - 3lb
Wk. 5: -2lb

I’ve moved up to 5mg and my 2nd jab was Friday. Again so far no bad side effects, just cold. Suppression is still excellent, and food noise is zero. Have a lovely Day👍

@AintNobodyHereButUsChickens -7lbs is a great first week loss👍At the moment I’m playing Days Gone Re-Mastered.

@Fatmumslim01 I know what you mean, I’m not getting as stressed over certain things as I used to. I’m convinced it’s the Mounjaro.

@Bipaloss I’d read so many horror stories about 5mg, that I was really worried about moving up. So far I’ve been O.K, I’m just cold😆

Glad to hear that minimal SE on 5mg . Taking my 4th 5mg tomorrow and have 7.5 pen in fridge but as suppression remains very strong I most likely will start that pen on 40 clicks (5mg) as long as I can as I still have about 4 st to loose

TheBossOfMe · 27/04/2025 15:31

@lilymty That is an incredible loss - huge congratulations! It is a journey, but you're well on your way. Well done.

I have to share what is a huge NSV for me. I just cracked the summer wardrobe out (I put it away in a storage unit over the winter to make space in my wardrobe) - and tried it all on. It almost all fits, and it certainly didn't last summer at all - I spent most of last summer hiding under just a few looser fitting dresses and tops. Even the figure hugging stuff fits - and looks okish on. There are a few dresses that are a tiny bit tight in places (who knew underarms could get fat!), and one or two that I might have to accept I'll never fit into again (UK size 6 so I think I can live with that!). But the stuff that fitted last year is all very baggy and will need taking in. My arms and stomach need a huge amount of toning up before I look really good in a lot of it (my exercise routine overly exercises my legs to the detriment of the rest of me, need to fix that). But it fits!!!!!!

I'm elated, but also actually feel a bit tearful about it - I was so miserable last summer because of the weight gain. I went on my first holiday with lovely encouraging DP this time last year, and felt too embarrassed to wear a bikini or even really let him see me in my swimsuit that much, ran into the water as fast as possible to hide my body. And spent most of the holiday wearing really loose sun dresses. I tried one of them on now, and it's like a tent on me.

I know I'm never happy when I'm overweight because it affects my confidence so, so badly. Short me looks just so awful even a stone overweight, and it all goes on my torso, so I really don't carry it well. I feel like I'm getting my old self back. I missed her :)

That’s exactly how I feel I’m getting my old self back.

@lilymty that is an impressive amount of weight to lose. Lots of people now do not comment. Did you take before photos? I am sure that if you took some photos now you would see a massive difference.

I should be a 10 or 12 by then.

Me+em drown me, they are just too voluminous of that makes sense with my boobs.

I have found a dress in Ralph Lauren but it’s the wrong colour, I am too pale and blonde for it.

Azazie, club L London, Lavish Alice

TheBossOfMe · 27/04/2025 18:00

Other NSVs since I've been thinking about them today (really important to me because the scales move slowly for me compared to some!).

My knees don't hurt when I run now

My back doesn't hurt and feel stiff first thing, I can actually bend down and pick things up without having to wait for my back to "warm up"

I have loads more energy and don't feel like I need a nap mid-afternoon

There will be more to come, I'm sure.

SmallSoupcon · 27/04/2025 19:25

Ugh, such a frustrating day. I've had diarrhoea almost daily since going up to 5mg. Today was particularly bad, which is odd because it's jab day tomorrow, and I thought it would have improved towards the end of the week. Seems to be the opposite. I'm stocked up on Immodium and electrolytes but I couldn't even go out today 😩

TheBossOfMe · 27/04/2025 19:34

@SmallSoupcon - I’m sorry, that sounds awful. Were you comfortable and losing on 2.5? Maybe count clicks to go back to that dose? Even if you have to do 2.5 more than once a week it’s go to be better than constantly being on the loo.

Oh no @SmallSoupcon hope you feel better soon.

Im 48 hours into 3.75mg and just feel so nauseous, I've been dry retching today and mainlining mints 🤢 bizarrely I've not had much suppression so I don't know what's going on there tbh but every time I eat I feel even more sick.

Breakfast... nothing

L...4 peices of sushi then 2 mints

S....latte. then 2 mints

D....large by MJ standard portion of home made lasagne. Half my plate was salad. Then 4 mints

🤢 Debating going back to 2.5 as had no nausea on that although I'd like a bit more weight loss I lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks

Yetanotherusername2000 · 27/04/2025 20:31

Bit disappointed today as I had a bag of crisps and a chocolate bar.

but, it’s a marathon not a sprint (fitting for today!)

I think I’m going to try and use will power this week and push my day forward. My weekends are very quiet and I am on my own boredom eating. Currently my day is Tuesday, so going to try Wednesday this week, and then move it to Thursday to get as much weekend suppression as possible.
work is busy so I don’t tend to snack.

Bubbless31 · 27/04/2025 21:25

Im glad to hear that others are also thinking about plans for when you are off MJ- I think I’m going to try and get better at logging food and then using that to create more of a meal plan for myself.

I’ve been really anxious this weekend, I have neighbour trouble which probably isn’t helping but I do think the MJ is playing a role too.. hoping it goes away soon!

Ive got a 5mg pen but want to do a 3.75 dose- can someone please confirm the amount of clicks? I’m really nervous about getting it wrong, so if someone who’s done it can tell me then I hope the anxiety will go away!

IngoGreen · 27/04/2025 21:39

@TheBossOfMe @SmallSoupcon @Fatmumslim01 I’m also thinking what to do with dosage given SE’s.

My first 5mg pen arrives Tuesday and considering continuing with 2.5mg as don’t want any increase in reflux. I know for me it’s also about timing of evening meal, but this isn’t always in my control.

For those of us who are having a steady loss at 2.5mg, @Fatmumslim01 it might be slower than some, but maybe that also makes it more sustainable??

So, I’m off shopping again for this book by Michael Mosley’s son Jack -
Food Noise: How weight loss medications & smart nutrition can silence your cravings. May help with the ‘must lose faster’ noise.

Heres to a week of looking after ourselves 😘

@IngoGreen I've got the book but wouldn't say it's that good tbh. About a third of it is the reference list at the back

Tbh there not much in there I haven't read on here or online in general apart from maybe the history of GLP-1 and how they came to be if that's any interest to you. Tbh I feel I've wasted my money buying the book unfortunately

The 3.75mg dose is 45 clicks 😊 someone posted a click chart up thread somewhere which lists the amount of clicks for dosage amounts

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 28/04/2025 07:21

This is a nice and clear one!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 28/04/2025 08:32

Morning all, I decided to stick with 3.75 for my 7th dose. I thought yesterday it was very much worn off (I jab Sunday night) but then realised that although I was hungry late afternoon, I had some greek yogurt abd granola, then got to bedtime and realised I'd had no dinner. .so 3 75 is working for me, lost 4lbs on it last week so staying with it for now.

PoundsLost · 28/04/2025 08:35

I’m doing injection 7 tomorrow, jab 3 of 5mg and am a mere 9lbs down from my start weight. It’s a bit of a flog, this.

SW 15st 10
CW 15 st 1

Still no side effects, I’m eating much less than before but get hungry. I will try to do 5:2 and incorporate that, because at least I lose weight consistently with that as an approach when not on MJ so it won’t do any harm.

seasidehunter · 28/04/2025 09:19

W8D1 - no loss this week as scales stuck firm at 11st 9lb. Means I still haven’t quite made it to a full 1st lost. But I ran the marathon yesterday and I’m dehydrated and exhausted from the heat so I don’t think this morning’s weigh in was a true reflection of the state of play.

I would normally jab on Sunday evening but couldn’t face it so will do it this morning. Had wondered whether to use the golden dose of this 2.5mg pen to do 3.75mg this week. But given how I feel today with heat exhaustion/dehydration, I’m not sure it’s a good time to up the dose - I really need to get fluids and food into me and don’t need to risk feeling major SEs. Onwards to next week when I can up the dose and, hopefully, finally get over that 1st hump!

SpottyUnicorn · 28/04/2025 09:22

I did my 7th jab yesterday (3rd 5mg) and besides the first week of 2.5 mg and my first horrible week of 5.0 I have had no SEs. I’ve decided to stay on 5.0 for the next month as well.

Within the past week a few people have mentioned that I look much slimmer, which is surprising as my weight loss is still very small- I’ve only lost 10 lbs. Shame nobody said anything when I gained it a year ago 😂

My BMI is 28.7 and while I still have a journey ahead before dropping to a healthy range, I am already thinking whether to swap my MJ provider and find someone who offers maintenance as well. I’m currently using MedExpress but if I understand right they don’t provide maintenance and stop prescribing MJ once customers achieve BMI of 25.
