For those who are calorie counting- logging on an app, what do you do about unfinished meals? I’ve just moved up to 5mg and for the first time this evening I couldn’t finish my tea. I had worked out the calories for the full meals and logged on My Fitness Pal. I have no idea how many calories I left, I think it would be a bit much to start weighing leftovers and deducting from the total?? Do people just leave what would’ve been the full amount on the calorie log?

I use nutracheck. So far, I'm just trying to guess. I'll alter it to half or a third of what I'd originally counted but obviously it's not exact. There is no way I am going to start weighing leftovers. I'm trying to talk myself into ditching the cc and just trusting myself. The constant tracking is not good for my mind but I'm finding it really difficult to stop.

Haha I'm afraid that list is the extent of my talents 😂 Frocks are straightforward, outfits are a conundrum.
Mind you, I'm looking forward to the better clothing options when I'm slimmer!

NSV today. Unplanned very busy afternoon/evening. Resulted in not eating dinner til 8.30pm. I did not get HANGRY. Or even that hungry tbh which is odd! I could have not eaten at all but am trying to eat as normally as I can. So I had a salad with boiled eggs and falafel.

If you want another challenge I am looking for a Barbie sparkly dress for my joint 40th in July size 16-18 most likely

hint I have long good legs , want to hide tummy (even when slim I have a tummy) and some but too much cleavage is ok

I have a wish to look like Barbie and planning platform stilleto’s and wavy long wavy hair with extension and volume

I hope to be half way to GW by then and want celebrate with my childhood body idol 😂

I got on the scales this morning - down 1.8lb over the 2 weeks I've been away. I'd have preferred more but a loss is a loss. Thats a total of 9,8lb loss for me over 6 weeks.
that's less than many but I've been eating deserts 😋and doing lot of exercise. I've got a 5mg pen as my second pen but i'm just using 3mg doses.
I can really feel the benefit of the weight loss so far - i can wear prettty wear all my clothes, none are too tight, so very pleased with that.

@SmallSoupcon i love your dedication to the cause, fabulous suggestions. Have logged these for possible future use. I was also going to suggest Ghost, they do a lot of nice bias cut stuff that can work well when you have lots of people on your balcony (French for big boobs). Here I am awake with bloody heartburn inevitably after having a late dinner staying with friends. I had a glass of Prosecco, with OJ, the least alcohol acceptable in the circumstances. And the only alcohol I’ve had in 6 weeks on MJ. It is totally off my radar. Before MJ I’d have a glass of wine or a beer at the weekend, so not a huge change but a shift.

NSV I went out for the day yesterday and didn’t gorge on a picnic. I still can’t really see the difference in photos (wails as 8.5kg down) but my skin looks clearer I think

End of week 6 weigh in. 4lbs down. Delighted after no loss last week.

I've lost a total of 24lbs in 6 weeks. 10% of my starting weight.

Jab day today, I did 3.75 last week so will probably do that again.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader if you’re near London you could use the personal stylist service at Selfridges, my best friend went there for a very special occasion and the outfit they chose for her was absolutely perfect, she said the lady was amazing. Xx

I log the whole meal and leave it at that. I've become mindful of what size portion I dish up so it's never more than 1/3 left anyway. I'm of the opinion that I might as well leave them calories logged as I didn't need them for that meal so 8 won't need them for "snacks" later.

I’ve found I sleep so awfully when I’ve eaten badly, after a small portion of fish and chips for dinner I felt unwell and sick all night, and slept badly.

Im trying to be more mindful when eating, but finding self control is still evading me. I was full and knew it would sit badly on my stomach all night but STILL kept on putting food into my face.

Im reaching my goal weight faster than I predicted and a maintenance dose in the longer term is not possible financially, so I need to sort this out and fast, but I just have no idea how?! I keep seeing horror stories on TikTok of people who have come off MJ then gained half of it back in a month and i desperately don’t want that to be me… but I’m struggling to figure out what I can do to make this more permanent change of frame of mind?!

I am using the time on MJ to work out what has made me overweight. It was not moving enough and grazing.

I put on the weight over 5 years, half a stone here, half a stone there. It all adds up those that have put on weight clearly are eating more than they realise and making bad choices. I have watched lots of videos on TikTok and those people are eating takeaways and going back to their old eating habits.

MJ is not just a magic drug you have to be mindful of what you are eating and what you are doing. If I ate a whole tub of Ben and Jerrys I would put on weight if on MJ or off it.

Challenge accepted! Sounds like you have a similar shape to me. I'm an apple with skinny legs and no bum 😂

I'm sorry you're having a rough time of it. I've got the runs again today, so can empathise with your discomfort. Side effects are so challenging 😩

My plan for when I finish is keeping control through organisation and meal prep. MJ is helping me learn what healthy foods I like, and what portion sizes should look like for my calories. I also know I need to stick with high protein and high veg instead of filling up on white carbs.

My maintenance diet will probably be portioned Greek yogurt and blueberry pots, topped up with sugar free granola for breakfast. Lunch will be either a ploughman's style selection of cold meats, boiled eggs, veg and low fat cheese (probably a protein-rich soup in winter). I cba to make salads!

Dinner will be my usual slow cooker staples but with veg instead of potatoes or rice. I use the MFP recipe section to work out portions and calories. If I cook a big stew or curry once or twice a week I can get build up a stock of portions in the freezer. I bought some takeaway containers which really help!

Snacks will be mostly fruit with some nuts (portioned as it's easy to eat too many!).

I think once you have a bank of go-to, easy recipes and you've learned your portion sizes, with a bit of organisation and education you can keep the weight off. I'm learning to accept I won't be able to leave my eating choices to chance in the future - eating for my mood is my downfall. By taking the daily decisions away, I'm hoping to be in much better control. HTH x

Has anyone else felt a bit weepy the day after jab day?

The first time I had MJ I basically sobbed the entire next day it was like baby blues, I was literally saying to DH through my tears I don't know why I'm crying. The next week so dose 2 was a bit better and then by jab 4 I didn't have any effects.

2 days ago I went up to 3.75 and I'm so emotional! I hope it isn't like this every time I go up a dose!

I'm also debating postponing my jab on Fri. Fri is my usual jab day but on Saturday I've got an event on and part of me wants to be able to eat and drink plenty so if I jab on Fri as usual I won't be able to do that. But part of me loves how I feel on MJ and I don't want to go crazy with food and drink on Saturday then regret it. DH thinks I should wait to jab until Sunday. Any thoughts?

Also re maintenance I'm terrified of coming off it already and I'm only 6 weeks in. It's been life changing for me, my brain is so much calmer I never want to go back to how it was before MJ. Realistically I'm expecting it to take a year or so to get to goal then I'm hoping to be on it as long as is financially viable. I've seen that oushk do maintenance packages starting from £114 if that helps anyone (this is not a promo I haven't used them)
