New thread for all of us.

Thank you for allowing me to rant, share our ups and downs. Our group blows my mind of how we are so supportive of each other.

@soupforbrains - I used to live in the US, and when I had my medicals there, they used to adjust BMI for breast size! Which kind of makes sense, big boobs must weigh a lot. So happy with that NSV though, I've always been an hourglass and turned into a beachball over the last couple of years. I feel like I'm getting me back again. I have a waist! An actual waist!!!!

@Flamethrowers Brilliant progress! I'm a running/pilates fan as well - plus weights. I actually love lifting weights so that's no hardship. Not loving running the way I used to but I know it's good for me so force myself.

Re your friend who is anaemic, the malnutrition risk is real on MJ if you're not mindful about what you eat. I'm anaemic anyway so really have to think about what I put on my plate to get my nutrients as well as calories in when suppression is high. And rattle with supplements!

I’d love to know how much of an adjustment they made for breast size so I could work out the equivalent of healthy bmi for my ample bosom 😀

Whilst I have lost weight from my bust, I’ve lost proportionately more from my bum hips/thighs. I’d love my belly to catch up!

Overjiggly · 26/04/2025 17:38

@taylorswift1989 I've had horrible periods since being on MJ, they're early, heavy and painful.

I did read possibly on one of these threads that losing fat releases estrogen which affects your cycle.

LilyLondon · 26/04/2025 17:43

taylorswift1989 · 26/04/2025 11:11

Is anyone having any menstrual or menopause issues with MJ? My cycle has gone a bit crazy. I seem to be having a period every week at the moment. I'm 53 and have been peri for a while, not on hrt. Just a bit worried that MJ is not helping here!

My period “fixed” itself on Wegovy - for over a year after my last pregnancy I had them irregular and every 45-50 days. First full cycle on WLIs and got it after 30 days with little to no cramping. Such a massive win for me

GameOfJones · 26/04/2025 17:59

Interesting chat about the effects on menstrual cycle. Like @Overjiggly I've also heard that fat loss can affect cycles so it may be the weight loss rather than a direct side effect of MJ? I'm no help because I had a mirena coil fitted just before I started mounjaro so my bleeding is all over the place at the minute anyway!

Pleased to report that after my first 5mg jab on Wednesday side effects have been minimal. I did feel very tired the day after and lightheaded but then back to normal yesterday and today. No more suppression than I had on 3.75mg though but probably in the sweet spot of being able to eat but not thinking about food 24/7.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 26/04/2025 18:12

Well, thus is my last day of week 6 and I'm excited to weigh tomorrow. I feel thinner, 😂 and stayed the same last week so will be mightily disappointed if I don't get a loss!

TryingMJ · 26/04/2025 18:14

For those who are calorie counting- logging on an app, what do you do about unfinished meals? I’ve just moved up to 5mg and for the first time this evening I couldn’t finish my tea. I had worked out the calories for the full meals and logged on My Fitness Pal. I have no idea how many calories I left, I think it would be a bit much to start weighing leftovers and deducting from the total?? Do people just leave what would’ve been the full amount on the calorie log?

Hi all

I need all your help, I know it’s a huge ask but the support on this group is amazing.

I need to find a dress for my son’s wedding. I need a V-Neck dress because of a very ample bust or huge tits as I call them, (implants) as I do not want to look like I have a shelf.

The dress can not have a white background and I can spend up to 1k.

I am 46 so do not want a traditional MOG dress.

I would not ask but I have spent about 7 hours of hell in Bluewater today looking for the perfect dress but the only thing I bought was a glass of wine in a bar as I was so pissed off.

Have you had a look at Phase Eight, they do quite classic dresses but modern colours etc

how exciting by the way! And I’m sure you will find the dress ☺️

I went into Phase Eight the one dress I liked was too white (white background) all the others were something my Mum would wear.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader what vibe is the wedding? Formal, boho, barn chic?
maybe look at things marketed as bridesmaids dresses, often classic shapes loads of colours to choose from…

lol ok may be Karen Millen or Hugo Boss sometimes do some black tie type of dresses .

I would also check out eg John Lewis and Harrods online as you can see the different styles of the brands etc to guide you towards where you can find it

I would suggest essentiel Antwerp, me + em, Serena Bute, Ralph Lauren. What dress size are you as that may impact decisions?

The wedding is relaxed formal, if that makes sense. Ceremony is in the same place as Reception think a posh Golf Club/Country club.

I do not want to be the in anything that makes me look older than I am without looking like I am trying too hard.

I should be a 10 or 12 by then.

Me+em drown me, they are just too voluminous of that makes sense with my boobs.

I have found a dress in Ralph Lauren but it’s the wrong colour, I am too pale and blonde for it.

To add, I'm going to talk about alcohol. Specifically wine. For many years I've had a problematic relationship with wine. Pre MJ I was drinking wine at least 4 nights a week , often more , often 7. Often, in fact always a whole bottle. If it was in the house I opened it. If I opened it I finished it. If it wasn't in the house I was ok with that, and didn't drink (multiple bottles of fancy gin available that I rarely touch)

So, a bottle of wine most nights, and then wine induced snacks.

I'm on my 6th weekend (I think?) And have had a bottle of wine each weekend only. 1 bottle a week. The first few, finished the bottle in one night. Last week I had 2/3 then a glass the next night. Last night night I had 1/2 and it felt too much and just habit, rather than want or need.

This is honestly, bloody amazing. The difference to my health must be huge

Incredible work - well done you xx

Puddingpiper · 26/04/2025 19:53

I’m 5’11’ with boobs so shopping tends to be fairly specific. Serena Bute may have something if you are near a Harvey Nichols they normally have a lot of evening dress/black tie options

RuthEvershedforPM · 26/04/2025 20:00

@TheSpoonyNavyReader have you tried Kate Spade? Might have something less MOG?

Near Harvey Nic in London, so will go there this week.

Serena Bute has beautiful clothes, but nothing that fits the brief.

Monsoon sometimes have lovely dresses. If you post in the style and beauty section you will probably get some good advice! All my clothes are trampy ones for dog walking!

This would be great just more on the shoulder no strapless bra will hold me up.
