Pretty well! Total of 16 lbs (7.2kg) lost since 12th Feb which I’m happy with. Doing loads of exercise. Some side effects on 5mg though.

ExplodingCarrots · 18/03/2025 18:26

Hello ! Just marking my place ! Hope everyone is having a good week .

LaurenW · 18/03/2025 18:35

Just to say - have had horrendous side effects in 2nd jab of 5mg after nothing at all on previous jabs…tried all sorts of things to help…but Pepto Bismol has saved the day!! Helped with major tummy issues, burps, nausea, everything! Fabulous stuff!

MynameisJune · 18/03/2025 18:42

Hope everyone has a good week.

I don’t know if this is okay to post but seeing all these people on the thread complaining about lack of suppression and thought it might be useful.

So MJ isn’t really supposed to suppress your appetite. It seems to at first but as your body acclimates to the meds it will drop off. It doesn’t mean it’s not working.

What it’s supposed to do is increase satiety, so you feel fuller quicker and therefore don’t eat as much and don’t eat past full, or continue to eat after your meal. This is how the weight loss is achieved. You’re supposed to feel hungry, feeling hungry isn’t the enemy and not eating at all isn’t the goal.

Gotitok · 18/03/2025 19:08

Hi everyone! I had my first dose this morning. So far so good but I’m getting terrible anxiety about any side effects. I really want and need to lose weight though so I’m trying to be brave😃 2 years ago I went from 15 stone to 12 from calorie counting. I did so well but unfortunately my old habits crept back and I couldn’t get back on it. Tried it again but just didn’t have the willpower for some reason. I’m now 16 stone😩

Nervous but excited to start this journey

Gotitok · 18/03/2025 19:09

I’ve just seen a thread for March starters so I’ll pop over there😃

MissionToSize10 · 18/03/2025 19:31

Hello 👋 placemarking so i can keep in with the soon to be skinny crowd!

sweetpickle2 · 18/03/2025 19:54

Thanks for the new thread!

Inspired by the last one, I did my 4th dose of 2.5mg in my arm. Wasn’t fiddly at all, slightly worried I’m jabbing wrong though as lots of people seemed to worry it would be fiddly!

I just got back from a long weekend of eating my way round Berlin, so I’m skipping the weigh in this week and giving myself a week’s grace of getting back into good habits before I weigh next week with my golden dose.

However I did get home to a co-ord set that I ordered from Sainsbury’s that I’d previously tried the top part of on in store about two months ago and it didn’t do up- ordered the exact same size and it fits perfectly so even if I’ve not been perfect this weekend I know overall I’m in a much better place than I was.

Hello, thanks for the new thread, just placemarking. Have a pounding headache tonight. Think it's the first 5mg yesterday 😫

Probablyawake · 18/03/2025 20:02

Just checking in to the new thread! Took my 2nd 5mg jab today. Weigh day is Monday, was very pleased yesterday with 7lb down!
*This is following a 3lb gain the week before when 2.5 just wasn't feeling like it was working anymore.
Total loss 1st 4lb so feeling good after my 7th dose today! 😃

Heard people at work discussing weight loss jabs and being quite negative about it - glad I have kept it to myself. Some people are so judgemental!

Zibb · 18/03/2025 21:05

Can't believe we're on thread 4 already!

Well done everyone on their losses and NSVs!

Another rough day for me, just constantly hungry. Had an entire head of broccoli as a snack... Better than a bag of crisps!

Mounjaronewbie25 · 18/03/2025 21:11

@Hangryfastjo I had a headache the day after my first 5mg dose too. I drank loads of water and felt a lot better the following day.

Thanks @Mounjaronewbie25 I've drunk plenty today and am now in bed 🤞🏻 it's gone tomorrow.

HoratioBum · 18/03/2025 21:18

Thanks for the new thread! @Zibb I did the same yesterday with an entire pack of tenderstem broccoli!

Such an important point! Thanks for making it. That gets lost in the discussions of MJ.

madroid · 18/03/2025 22:07

On wk 4 and have lost 11lbs. Was so hungry tonight and ate more than I have the last week or so so feel v full :( Must have a good rest of week now!

Has anyone else gone for the extra 5th dose? Also are you moving up to the full 5mg or going for 3.75mg first?

Warmautumnbreeze · 18/03/2025 22:26

Hi all thanks for new thread.

@madroid I'm due to go up to 5mg next week and I'm thinking I'll probably do 3.75 for the first one.

SpiralSister · 18/03/2025 22:42

Thanks for the new thread!

PurpleCoo · 18/03/2025 22:55

@madroid I did the bonus dose on Friday and due to start a new pen on Friday (1st 5mg pen). I think I will do a half dose first, then if I need to go up after that I will do 3.75. I'm not liking that so many people who have gone up to 5mg are experiencing unpleasant side effects. Current dose is working well for me at present.

WLINewbie · 19/03/2025 02:06

Hi

Thanks for the new thread :)

I'm week 5, day 5, on 5mg, no side effects here but suppression not as good as it was in the early 2.5mg weeks .

Catmum100 · 19/03/2025 07:28

Thanks for the new thread! Checking in as it's weigh day...

SW: 13st 3lb
CW: 12st 3lb
TW: 11st ish

I've finally lost a stone! The scales had been stuck this week, I've had constipation and a frequent headache. So I didn't think I'd hit the stone mark, but they shifted this morning, and I'm reminded that patience is required!

My clothes are looser, not enough shifted yet for a wardrobe overhaul as I realised how tight things had been and now they fit! I'm so glad I started after having huge reservations. I'm still calmer, my ADHD symptoms are almost gone completely, no desire for alcohol or Pepsi max or sugar. Appetite controlled, satiety great. I don't recognise myself!!

Great to hear everyone else's successes too 😁

Edit to add that I'm now 6 weeks in, the start of week 7 and my 3rd 5mg dose due today.

ThatJoyousHazelDuck · 19/03/2025 07:49

Marking my place 😁

Weigh day tomorrow, week has been up and down, i do feel like my moods are affected by MJ, I've always been a bit moody so hoping nobody is noticing but I find it harder to plaster a fake smile.

My appetite is ok, I want to eat but definitely feeling fuller quickly and foods and drinks that I used to have a lot of just aren't appealing. Good for the chocolate and sweets but not happy about going off tea!
