Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

We have matching numbers! My GW is higher (10.7) but wishing you all the best as a SW-sister! Started today, can’t wait to see how it goes.

Aww nice I’m being a little over the top but it would defo be great to get there. I did my second jab today but weight in day tomorrow so fingers crossed. Hope all goes well for you. Let me know how u find ur first week.

well done everyone on their losses so far!
Just done my 3rd jab a day early as I’ve got a busy day tomorrow, on each dose I’ve felt suppression within hours! Only side effects so far are tiredness and feeling cold so can’t really complain! I’m in perimenopause, under active thyroid and slightly high bp. Happy with a 3lb loss this week even though I’m on my period and usually gain around 6lbs!

Oh my days, I am so hungry today. Up to yet the supression had been good. Not bothered about food but still eating 3 meals a day. Happy to not snack and just eat what's in front of me. But today my tummy is in a constant rumble. I could eat EVERYTHING. Doing all I can to keep myeelf occupied.
I don't jab until Saturday. Could I jab a day early? I've lost 5lb in 11 days and I don't want to ruin everything.

Today is jab day. It's also the first time I think my suppression has really worn off.

I had a bad night on call and am tired but have had various meetings.

I have eaten everything in sight today and not had motivation to actually prep the healthy nutritious more involved meals I had planned (carrot soup) so it's been a carb heavy day - just finished munching toast with chocolate spread (bonne maman one, it's yum but calorific). I could have had an apple with peanut butter or berries and greek yog. But oh no the chocolate spread called.

Lesson to self. Prep better.

Believe you can jab a day early! I jabbed early last week as I’m trying to move my jab day to a Thursday so I went Saturday > Friday and will then jab tomorrow.

Same SW as me too, and would love to get to ten and a half. Don't know if I might stop at 11 stone though, will see how I feel. Haven't see 11 something on the scales for 16+ years. Was pleased to see 12 something for the first time in six months after Week 1! Now 12.11.5 after week 2. Hoping to get to the half stone off mark this week.

Crikey, you’re doing really well. Frankly, I’d be thrilled to make it to 11! I haven’t gone under that in 20 years so anything more would be showing off 😂

Day 1 today! Jabbed as soon as I read the instructions!

Start weight 15st 10.5 lbs
Goal weight 11st

Going to try to make sure I drink more water and lots of protein so have omelettes with veg in and steak with grilled mushrooms as my first few days’ eating.

weird day today, have had a grumpy stomach ache all afternoon. Turns out I’m having a period- they are few and far between these days so quite unexpected. This means that a) the suppression must’ve overcome pre-period munchies, which is impressive and b) I’ve probably had some water retention which explains the bloat and hopefully means my next weigh in will be good!

I take the below every day, but I was before starting MJ:

A multivitamin with iron (catch all and to help with heavy periods)

Omega 3 for brain health.

Garlic for cardiovascular health.

Collagen for muscles (also often advised when on injections)

Psyllium husk for fibre (could be a good option when on injections as constipation is a common side effect).

I take collagen (Ancient and Brave) and a Perimenopause supplement (Health & Her) which somehow stopped my random overheating at night completely! Not taking electrolytes…

@Letsgetitdoneive got team RH app as well. Makes me prioritise protein. I can’t eat the cals it sets though!

week 1 summary:
2.5mg
side effects - day 1 nausea & vomit. After that felt fine.
suppresion - high. Eaten 1000-1500 cals/day
exercise - 2 x weights session and 1 run
weight loss - 2.5kg (5.5lb) I have NEVER lost that much in my life apart from giving birth!

This is me too!! W2 D2 2.5mg and although I’ve eaten less than I usually would’ve on a hungry day, I’ve probably gone over my calorie deficit number, and probably over my maintenance amount too! So frustrating. I can’t wait to go up to 5mg to see if I can get the suppression of the first week back!!

Hello everyone. Can I join you all please? I would love somewhere to chat about my journey. I have told my DH, but nobody else knows. I have tried every diet there is, but nothing seems to work anymore since I hit peri.

I took my first dose today. I can't believe how easy the jab was after building myself up to a tizz over it!
I didn't think I could feel anything, just thirsty, until I tried to eat tonight. I only served myself a small portion and I could only eat half! Wow.
I think I have gone through around 4 litres of water today, so have ordered some electrolytes. I'm really hopeful that this is going to work for me. It's wonderful to read how well you are all doing.

So did my first jab last night and have been amazed by the feeling all day 😄didn’t fancy breakfast but ate some fruit mid morning. Had a yogurt and more fruit for lunch, have drunk plenty of water along with tea and coffee then this evening a few glasses of wine, don’t judge it’s been one of those days 🙄then had a much smaller dinner!! Chocolate at work didn’t touch and none of my snacks in my drawer that I’d normally have so I’ll say day one has been great 😆

Oh goodness me neither, I was quite shocked at how many calories I was set to be honest!
I like to still log everything and know what I'm hitting with protein and fibre and I'm hoping it'll help for when I reduce/come off Mounjaro.

@Paulahoust I take a multivitamin for women. Vit D (UK) and additional iron as I've been anaemic in the recent past probably due to heavy periods.

No electrolytes.

That’s a key thing I think. It’s about not just relying on appetite suppression because eventually once you’re off MJ that goes. It’s about using the time you’re on it to reset both eating habits and lifestyle habits that will allow you to maintain. That’s why it’s not a cheat. it’s just a useful tool.

I've done my second jab today. Nearly 5lb off in the first week, so I'm really pleased!

I had noticed the full appetite suppression start to wane slightly as it came towards the end of the first week, so I'm excited to have topped myself up.

I've told DH and my hairdresser 😂 but noone else yet! I didn't want to jinx myself or create any expectations, but I will tell people more as I go along I think, particularly if I'm lucky enough to lose enough weight that people notice.

I have a dark purple bruise the size of my bath plug at the injection site on my stomach. Had a chicken breast with veg for dinner. I need to meal plan more carefully so it’s nice to eat as well as healthy.

Are you on the GLP1 plan? I switched mine over and it only took 350 cals off my target cals. I think I’m supposed to hit 1591 cals and 100g protein. I’ve been getting to about 1100-1400 ish and 50-60g protein.

Is anyone else getting a strong aversion to cooking smells? I can't stand them. I'm having to open all the windows in the house. It's like being pregnant again!
