Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

@TheSpoonyNavyReader I'd definitely wait if you can, it's hard to know the rate of loss isn't it? As for where, I have no idea, I'm useless! I'd prob go to a big John Lewis I suppose.

GameOfJones · 17/03/2025 18:15

northernlight20 · 17/03/2025 16:21

when to order? im on wk 2 day 6, ordered with phlo clinic, but nothing on reordering.

I'm with Phlo too and just reordered. You can only order once 15 days have passed. I got a generic checking how you're doing email and that prompted me to log in and reorder. I've only done two jabs but the new pen will arrive tomorrow and I'll store it in the fridge.

Blondie667 · 17/03/2025 18:24

Hey all I’m new to all this!! ordered my first pen yesterday so will hopefully be here for the weekend 😃love reading all the positive stories.
I really want to loose 2 stone, literally cannot believe that the peri menopause has literally changed me into someone I don’t recognise 😫

28Spring · 17/03/2025 18:24

Hi everyone, and thanks @TheSpoonyNavyReader for starting the new thread. And like others have suggested, I would definitely wait until May to buy your outfit, that will be a shopping trip to look forward to; I can’t imagine being in the M&S changing rooms (which as we know allow you to see yourself from every bloody angle!) and not feel so disheartened.
@Illbefinejustbloodyfine I’ve had to realpy force myself to eat at times, it’s a weird feeling but I’m in fear of my body thinking I’m starving it and that’s when it hangs onto the fat! So this is the one diet where you have to keep eating to lose the weight; even if it’s some full fat Greek yogurt (to get some good quality calories in your) and raspberries (for the fibre apparently!)
@Whereareallthewellhungmen I haven’t told my DH as he is so sceptical and in fear of anything needle related, he’d just be a total worrier about what MJ was doing to my body and would suck all the joy of my weight loss away!! He just doesn’t get the ‘food noise’ thing, I don’t think anyone does unless they have it and have had to live with it since they were a child, like me!

Wk1 Day6 for me and Wednesday weigh in and jab day can’t come quick enough!

Also, I love the idea of micro dosing to avoid the first 48 hrs of symptoms (mainly nausea, lack of sleep, tiredness and coldness) but I bruised on my thigh for my first jab so if I was injecting a lot more I think I’d be covered which would raise a lot of questions! 🤪

Fairislesweater · 17/03/2025 18:38

as an added bonus, since starting a week and a half ago, my BP has come back down to normal!

Fairislesweater · 17/03/2025 18:46

Can I ask how you all manage ordering? I’ve seen a few comments about switching between companies for better price etc, do you just do a consultation each time? I’ve started with juniper so it’s a subscription, going up in dose (and therefore easy as I don’t have to do anything) but the price seems high compared to other companies. Is it easy to just switch?

Looks easy. I'm switching to Oushk who ask to see a photo of your last prescription to prove what you're taking and so they can prescribe you the correct next dose, then the usual photos. Haven't done it yet though.

Whereareallthewellhungmen · 17/03/2025 19:09

Sorry, I got called into work!

Thanks for your responses. Such a shame some of you struggle with (what I'd consider to be) unsupportive partners.

I can't imagine not feeling able to share that with the person who should be closest to you.

My friend is considering embarking on this journey, hence me quietly obtaining info as she's not on SM.

Furryfeline · 17/03/2025 19:21

@Whereareallthewellhungmen because I don't want the judgement 🤷. I'm not telling anyone, despite this being a good thing imo it's still so new and there's a lot of judgement surrounding it. I've lost 6lb already only on day 5 no food noise AT ALL, it's almost miraculous. I feel calmer and no side effects apart from feeling the cold a bit.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 17/03/2025 19:27

@Fairislesweater oh really?? Was your BP very high? I take 2 different meds for mine, as it was stupidly high. My last check it was weirdly normal (pre MJ)

I wonder if I should book a check after a couple of weeks?

Changingplace · 17/03/2025 19:45

Checking in on the new thread :)

Did my second jab yesterday, definitely felt the appetite suppression, not fancied breakfast all last week, had a small lunch and dinner and no snacking at all :)

Been really chilly the last few days, can’t work out if it’s a SE or cos it’s just bloody cold!

Is Oushk cheaper than Med Express?

PS5Gamer · 17/03/2025 20:35

Hi everyone, I’ve received my first 2.5mg pen from MedExpress. I’ll be doing my first dose on Friday (as I don’t fancy being hit with side effects whilst in work). I’ve told my partner, who is being supportive. I’m not going to tell anyone else, as I cannot be arsed with being judged or explaining myself. It’s nice to have found such a supportive group.
So far I’ve lost 18lb via calorie counting. It has taken an absolute age though, and I battle with constant food noise. I’m class 3 Obese, and I’m hoping Mounjaro helps me.
BMI 42, starting weight 260lb.

Furryfeline · 17/03/2025 20:42

@PS5Gamer 👏👏well done for losing the weight you already have. Hopefully you'll have a good experience on this drug, I certainly have, shut down all food noise, no snacks, my biggest downfall. Good luck I haven't had any side effects apart from being cold.

TripleRocks · 17/03/2025 20:42

Hi, thanks for the new thread!

My injection/weigh day is Wednesday, but I might push the injection until Thursday as I have no appetite at all and it will save me money to go 8 days between doses. Is anyone else doing this, or do I need to worry after 30 days that the pen hasn't been kept in the fridge?

Choirgirl699 · 17/03/2025 20:43

Paulahoust · 17/03/2025 19:54

I'm unsure tbh. www.monji.co.uk will have details. I'm choosing them as they're a good price generally for each dose and they have a maintenance plan unlike most other pharmacies.

Lollzi86 · 17/03/2025 20:59

Feeling so tired finished work fell asleep for 2 hours (slept through an alarm!) been awake for half an hour and could quite happily go back to bed. Definitely didn’t feel this tired the first jab (I’m on jab 3) x

TheBossOfMe · 17/03/2025 22:22

capybaraqueen · 17/03/2025 16:14

thebossofme I'm week 4 on 2.5 mg and I'm training harder and more often than ever. I feel incredible. Mixture of f45 slots of cardio and weights, hyrox and running.

I used to work out 4-5 times a week; last time it was 7!

If anything I feel leaner and stronger and almost exhilarated when I exercise.

I've had absolutely zero side effects just incredible suppression.

I actually delayed each jab by a day or two as I didn't feel the need to eat. My stomach rumbles but my brain just isn't interested!

Planning to get the golden dose next week, has anyone done this?

That's good to hear - did a really intense strength training session this morning and managed it fine, so was probably worrying about nothing.

LordGaGaisasahd · 18/03/2025 02:24

Has anyone else been ill whilst on Wk1 MJ?

I came down with a bad cold on Sunday and it feels like all the symptoms of a cold are exaggerated? Mostly it's the feeling of fatigue and sleepiness. I keep wanting to sleep every 4-5 hours.

Had a weird sensation yesterday, I had a big bowl of soup (a whole carton of Convent Garden) and I felt awful about an hour later. Stomach cramps and acid indigestion mainly. Is it because I ate too much? it went on for a few hours. Its gone now but was uncomfortable.

It's not a major problem and won't deter me as I feel fine the rest of the time, but is it possible to feel poorly if you eat too much whilst on MJ?

i've done this every single week, added a day each time. i could have added longer TBH as my suppression has been so good. I'll also be getting the golden dose from mine so will have added 11 days to the cycle. i'm not worried about it.

Spondoolie · 18/03/2025 06:15

Just had 4th shot and am finally feeling a little bit of suppression. Not much though.
1lb down in three weeks!
5mg has arrived for next Sunday and I’m not planning to get the golden shot from my original pen.

@LordGaGaisasahdhave you reduced carbs a lot? Look up “keto flu”, someone suggested it on the last thread and most of my symptoms lat week fit. I’m post shot 2 now and feeling less tired and dizzy.

Spondoolie · 18/03/2025 06:45

Well I am actually 13’6 this morning so make that 3lb in 3 weeks ☺️

That's interesting.

It's definitely a cold: runny nose, sneezing, temperature etc.

I've been eating carbs (had weetabix and brown bread yesterday).

I know what you mean about keto flu though. I think maybe the weightloss is just making the symptoms more noticeable.

I seem to be reacting positively to MJ as I've lost 8lbs in total now in week one 😊 But maybe that's a little too fast? going to try to up my calories today (been under 1000 kcal per day) and see whether it helps.

Oh when I had my very bad upset tummy it was after having convent garden soup! Maybe it's a trigger. Hard to know if it was the soup or just a reaction as it was the day after the jab for me.

Either way I will be avoiding soup for now 😄
