Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

W3 D1 here. Had my jab and weighed in. 3 pounds off but a bit disappointing as I weigh daily as well and had lost that 3 pounds by Thursday last week so essentially not lost anything since even though I have been really good, logged everything and done lots of walks. Still, fingers crossed for a whoosh effect at some point this week and it’s still 11 pounds off in total in 2 weeks. Just a bit scared as I go away this weekend and we will be eating out and having a few drinks….hoping the steps I will do might stop any potential gain!

This may well be tmi but I had awful awful constipation on week one into week two - and my lack of weight gain disappeared after I went to the loo (had to use laxatives). I was carrying two kilos extra weight!

Not TMI, I was saying to someone on the last thread, these things can make a real difference! When dieting the old fashioned way, I always used to make sure to weigh myself at the same time of day, for this reason. May be more difficult for people who aren't 'regular' iyswim.

Anyway, just done my first dose this morning! Feeling excited and apprehensive.

Thanks for the new thread, it's really nice to be able to share in a journey.
Only W1D2 here so not much to report bar being absolutely freezing!

Haha it’s ok about the tmi as I had the same but ‘went’ a lot on Friday after prune juice so was expecting some extra loss….but no joy 😂 x

poppysocks81 · 17/03/2025 13:21

Thanks for the new thread!

@yikesanotherbooboo I’ve been the same so have ordered the 5 for 2 weeks time. Had a variable weekend of times when I literally forgot to eat, to other times where I was ravenous, and did have my first biscuit for 2 weeks (but didn’t eat the whole packet like I usually would!).

im trying not to weigh to often as just get demoralised if I don’t see a loss ever day.

HuskyNew · 17/03/2025 13:35

I’m only 1 week in but medexpress says I can reorder prescription from now. I think it’s because they took ages to despatch after it was approved.

I don’t think I can decide between 2.5 or 5 for now, will see how the next couple of weeks go.

I am feeling more hungry today but still satisfied by eating slowly and less food. Not sure whether to bring the jab forward to tonight or not as I’d prefer any side effects to be tomorrow not Weds/ Thurs

SmallSoupcon · 17/03/2025 13:36

W1 day6 for me. Annoyingly I picked up my kids' d&v bug yesterday. I only got the d, not the v, but I'm unsure whether to take my next jab tomorrow...

Apart from that things have been going well. I've had really strong hunger pangs a few times but it's nothing like the sensation I had before MJ, and I have to force myself to eat to make it go away.

Another new thing - I'm off crisps. Can't stand their fried flavour! They were a huge problem for me so this is really interesting.

A word of encouragement to anyone who is getting frustrated by their numbers - nobody loses weight in a smooth curve downwards. It's always spiky. If you compare yourself month to month rather than week to week, you'll see you're still making progress!

I've been using my plug-in heat pad (like a small electric blanket) all the time! 🥶

Good idea! I'm sat here with 2 hot water bottles ☃

What time of day is everyone taking their jab?

Took mine mid-afternoon (jab 1) as that is when it arrived Grin I also had read somewhere about taking it later in the day so if I felt sick I could go to bed…

It is witchcraft… it’s like it has gone in my brain and turned off my ability to feel hungry. I’ve just eaten something but had to make myself, so super conscious that what I eat needs to be good decisions

Bipaloss · 17/03/2025 13:58

Took both w1 and w2 2 hours before having my evening meal and go to bed 2 hours after that meal (4 hours after jab)

Week 1 had nausea when going to bed and for the following 2-3 days (like morning sickness) but no nausea from jab 2. Woke up few times on first night from both jabs but have stopped snoring! Today the day after week 2 jab not having nausea or bloating like last week but feeling cold and a bit shivery and headache comes on if I haven’t drank water in a while (since w1d5). Eat 4 dry prunes a day to help with constipation and take multivitamin and extra magnesium

I have not told him, as he believes that anyone that eats right and exercises should be able to lose weight and not get fat… He goes to the gym for an hour a day and has a job where he can be very active. He would also see me as taking WLI as the “easy” way out.

I am peri menopausal, an under active thyroid gland, recent bereavement, 4 kids, a full time job, ) 2 dogs and I don’t have time like him to go into the gym for an hour

I was once very slim probably until CV19 and then age caught up with me and I can’t shift the weight no matter what I was doing.

I am losing weight for myself and no one else and quite frankly I think no one else needs to know.

This is 100% me. After the birth of my first child I never lost all the baby weight, although looking back I was still pretty slim (didn’t feel it at the time!) but my weight seems to have piled on after the birth of my second child which was quickly followed by the stress and anxiety of the pandemic. I think I have been perimenopausal since around then too. Women do not have it easy!

What time of day is everyone taking their jab?

I do mine just before bed. I am getting only mild side effects now and mostly sleep through them.

Choirgirl699 · 17/03/2025 14:19

Whereissummer24 · 17/03/2025 13:36

What time of day is everyone taking their jab?

First thing Saturday morning as I get extreme tiredness (napping in the day tiredness) about 16hrs later so should be getting it at night now

Rose785 · 17/03/2025 14:29

Started my first jab this Sat at 4pm

CW: 13 stone 8 pounds (5ft 3'') BMI: 33.7 waist: 39''
GW: 9 stone BMI 22.3 (would be happy to reach 10 stone as not weighed that in years!)

Put on 2 pounds while waiting for my jab to arrive!
So far no side effects. Not really noticed many changes so subtle. But I would say I don't crave crisps or sweets

ShineyGreen · 17/03/2025 15:18

Firefly45 · 17/03/2025 11:14

Took 2nd jab yesterday. Lost 1lb in the first week which I did with sheer willpower. Had nausea and felt rubbish but not really had any food suppression. Feeling bit gutted but trying to stay positive.

I’ve had the odd flash of suppression but nothing consistent either @Firefly45. It’s like being able to glimpse something through a window but not see the whole thing! I am still thinking about food all the time (is that food noise?) but managing not to shove it my chops. First couple of weeks on a new diet is always the most successful for me which is what I’ve put the 3lbs and 4lbs loss down to. It’s been a slog like any other diet though. Bloody annoying. I am hoping that I will feel a lasting impact on my appetite when I go up to 5mg. Hang in there!

GameOfJones · 17/03/2025 15:50

I also jab first thing on a Saturday morning. The past two weeks I've felt some effect start to kick in around 12 hours later. Mainly feeling sleepy and like I don't want to eat anything. That's meant I can get an early night and I've woken up on Sunday with suppression.

I figure I'll keep the Saturday jab day and any Saturdays when I may be out socially I can jab later in the evening before bed.

capybaraqueen · 17/03/2025 16:14

thebossofme I'm week 4 on 2.5 mg and I'm training harder and more often than ever. I feel incredible. Mixture of f45 slots of cardio and weights, hyrox and running.

I used to work out 4-5 times a week; last time it was 7!

If anything I feel leaner and stronger and almost exhilarated when I exercise.

I've had absolutely zero side effects just incredible suppression.

I actually delayed each jab by a day or two as I didn't feel the need to eat. My stomach rumbles but my brain just isn't interested!

Planning to get the golden dose next week, has anyone done this?

northernlight20 · 17/03/2025 16:21

when to order? im on wk 2 day 6, ordered with phlo clinic, but nothing on reordering.

capybaraqueen · 17/03/2025 16:28

whereissummer24 I'm jabbing at around 7 pm at night, so I go to bed and wake up with zero appetite. I haven't had a single side effect and I'm entering week 4.

OkyDoke · 17/03/2025 16:29

I'm wondering the same about reordering, took jab 3 on Saturday and nothing from IQ Doctor yet...

I need everyone’s help, Mum son is getting married at the end of May.
Do I buy my outfit now a couple of sizes smaller or do I leave it until May.
Also where do I buy a dress?

Don’t buy it yet, wait a little longer as you will be slimmer and also there will be plenty of styles around.

I think Phase Eight does a good range of dresses for this type of occasion

I'd give it until at least the start of May, mid May if you're comfortable leaving it that long. That'll be plenty of time to find something you're happy with but also reduces the guesswork element.
