Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

SW 12.2st
CW 11.6
TW 9ish

just a bit through week 2 now and I’m so happy.
the effect on my mood is insane - don’t know if it’s because I feel a bit lighter or if it’s to do with adhd etc - I’ve always had depression (CPTSD) but I feel calm.

long may it continue. Got a friend staying so there’s been a couple of glasses of wine and I was worried it wouldn’t work, but still slowly losing.

this is my first day on MJ and I’ve really not eaten very much today at all, I know I need to increase the protein but how? ironically I usually eat quite a lot of protein, Greek yogurt & nuts for breakfast, tuna pitta for lunch, chicken rice and veg for dinner, but today I’ve had hardly anything because not hungry…..is the aim to eat even if not hungry? I’m confused. Also what exercise are People doing for muscle preservation.

It can be tough - small amounts, high in good calories/macros if you are struggling to eat enough! Its a bit mind bending.

I’m trying to do weights sessions each week, taking collagen and being mindful of protein in but struggle!

PoundsLost · 27/03/2025 07:42

Just done my weigh in a week after the first jab and I am exactly the same. I don’t feel surprised really as no side effects and not really any suppression. It may take months to get going. Still trying to swap some meals for soup though!

SW 15st 10.5
wk 2 15st 10.5

about to jab again and hope my first bruise eventually fades!

Fuelledbylatte · 27/03/2025 07:51

First official weigh in and 6lb down

GW 11st 4lb
CW 12st 10lb

SmallSoupcon · 27/03/2025 08:58

Wk 3 day 3 and I've had diarrhoea all night 😫. This is the 3rd bout now and it's really affecting my ability to work. So frustrating!

Fatmumslim01 · 27/03/2025 09:10

End of week 1 weigh in and I've lost 3 pounds! Delighted with that especially as all the hunger and food noise returned yesterday and I ate too much.

SW 14-7
CW 14-4
GW for now 11-6

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 27/03/2025 09:23

@PoundsLost that must be so frustrating for you. Hope it kicks in for you soon.

Van34 · 27/03/2025 10:11

Non Scale Victory. I had to put my jeans in the tumble dryer to shrink them so they fit better.
Just weeks before starting MJ I splashed out on some good quality jeans that no longer fit well. Before MJ I was sooooo bloated it was uncomfortable all the time. That's all gone now and 8lb lost meant they were too loose on me.
Tumble dryer has shrunk them to a lovely fit again. Not sure what I will do when they get loose again.

ShineyGreen · 26/03/2025 20:34

My Eufy scales arrived on Sunday. I LOVE THEM!

Lots of other stats too which is nice because non scale victories keep me going :)

Typically they were £29.99 when I bought them and now they’re £26.99! Good value I think.

Just ordered mine after your recommendation! Very keen to see what my body fat % is and muscle mass which is really key whilst we’re on MJ…

Went to the gym for the first time in ages on Monday and thought I was some sort of Olympic weightlifter, could hardly walk down the stairs on Tuesday!! Don’t do what I did, if you’re not used to doing weights just take it steady at first; I would say you live and learn but at 46 I have made this mistake many times before!!

28Spring · 27/03/2025 10:42

@Ally638 yes it’s tough sometimes to force the food down, I’ve been having full fat Greek yogurt with a spoonful of Ancient & Brave collagen powder (as it’s tasteless) with raspberries for fibre when I really don’t want anything but know I need the calories/protein/collagen and fibre! And I’ve been buying the packs of ready to eat chicken drumsticks from Sainsbury’s or M&S so grab one of those if I’m in a hurry and know I need to eat something…if we don’t eat the nausea kicks in even more sometimes so you just have to make yourself eat small amounts wherever you can…good luck!!

Amjam2025 · 27/03/2025 10:45

Week 3 (2.5mg), day 2, very little appetite suppression, thinking about food a lot this morning and and really feel like eating today :( Im drinking lots of fluids to try and make myself feel full.

WIll have to stay strong and hope that tomorrow is a better today (suppression and hunger can fluctuate throughout the week for me - not sure if thats other peoples experience too?). Looking forward to moving up to 5mg!

Well done to everyone whether you've recently had a good day/good loss or for sticking with it if its a crap day/no loss!

CFCmum · 27/03/2025 10:51

Not been a great week this week, had bad diarrhoea and only lost a pound! On wk 3 d6
going to try to get the golden dose tomorrow and looking to move up to 3.75 next Friday hopefully that will help.

TheBossOfMe · 27/03/2025 10:52

W3D6 and I seem to have stalled a bit this week, nothing shifted at all for a few days. Official weigh day isn't until Sunday so hopefully a tiny bit more might come off - but given I'm still on 2.5mg, I'm OK with the loss so far.

W3D6
SW 10st 4.6lb BMI 25.7 (prescribed MJ because of diabetes risk)
CW 9st 11.1 BMI 24.3 - 7.5lb down. (Still overweight because of ethnicity)
GW 8st 6lb BMI 20.9 (low BMI advised as target by doctor)

It's been another busy social week though, and has been a bit carb heavy (mostly in the form of wine) so probably to be expected. No nasty side effects so am hoping the step up to 5mg will be gentle.

Did anyone use the golden dose to go up to 5mg a week early?

Flamethrowers · 27/03/2025 11:50

Oh my goodness - I just had an early weight in at 3 weeks and 5 days - and I have lost seven pounds and my jogging leggings are beginning to slide a bit...! Sulpher burps haven't stopped though. I'm sticking with 2.5

Furryfeline · 26/03/2025 17:06

@Whereissummer24 me too with the brain chatter and mild addiction, it's just switched off, this is the calmest I have been ever I think, and I'm in my fifties. I've long suspected neuro differences, been mis diagnosed with anxiety, depression and been on every anti depressants going plus diazepam at times, None of them have ever worked, this is a miracle drug for me, considering that many of the anti depressants made me feel even more ill. I'm also losing the weight which is obviously why I started it so win win. If only I could get this from the doctor, but I doubt it. Surely when this drug was trialled some people must have reported feelings like this no?

All I'd seen was articles on low mood, problems and issues but if you read redit people are all raving about similar effects to us. Honestly if I hadn't seen a couple of people I know having such good results I'd have been too scared to try it. I've read that there may be a table form down the line - I'll be honest I'd stay on a microdose of this for as long as i could to feel like this!

Justformounjaro · 27/03/2025 12:32

Well, DP came home from his trip away with a “treat” for me and I think I’m now paying for it 🥴

He still doesn’t know that I’m on Mounjaro so he brought back a cream tea for each of us and I had to eat it so he wouldn’t get suspicious. Today I feel like it’s just sitting in my stomach and I feel sick.

He also brought back some handmade soap which he first described as being made of Grouse. When I looked at him incredulously, he wracked his brains and realised he meant Gorse 😅

Furryfeline · 27/03/2025 13:36

@Whereissummer24 , I shall have a read of those Reddit reviews if I can. I would like to stay on it through micro dosing too, just to feel like this, my husband says I'm like different person, and he doesn't even know I'm on it, I haven't told anyone 😂, so it's not like he's equating the difference in me to mounjaro cos he doesn't know I'm on it !

CallMeStella · 27/03/2025 13:47

Hi Everyone 👋🏼

I just wanted to say for those not experiencing big losses or strong suppression to not to be disheartened. It’s a process and as long as the trajectory of your weight is headed downward over a period of time, you should be very proud! Weight loss is never steady and some weeks you might of really tried but only lose one pound, it’s still a success. Our bodies can get used to the same calorie intake so it’s actually good to have varying days of calorie intake. Also remember the medication slowly builds up in our system as we take further shots. There’s a website you can find out the amount in your body based on number of shots/dose etc, I’ll try to find it.

I think someone here posted about an American doctors journey on mounjaro and I’ve found his YouTube page really useful, he especially makes the point to take it slow and be on the lowest dose possible which gives you the best results.

I’m only on week 1, I took half a 2.5mg dose on Monday and feel no different, I’ve eaten well but yesterday I did have some cake because someone really stressed me out! Today I have some difficulty 💩 but I will shortly be devouring some dried dates and figs so I know I’ll soon be having a good old toilet session 🤣

I’ll share the YouTube channel of the dr I mentioned and try to find the other website also

CallMeStella · 27/03/2025 14:11

I can’t find the website regarding the amount which accumulates but the dr mentions it in one of his videos so if anyone watches them please share it here.

The medication accumulates for three to four weeks after starting and after each dose change and then stabilises. Example attached.

Hello to everyone! Pleased to report that after barely losing anything last week (less than a pound), I'm down 3 pounds this week. So those of you having struggles, keep the faith! It will come off ❤️

I've now completed my first month on MJ and my total loss for March has been 4.4kg in all, just a tad shy of 10lbs. I'll take it. And I am now in a pound bracket I haven't seen on the scales since I was a breastfeeding my (now 17 year old) son 😱

Good luck to everyone out there. You've got this! 👍

MrsMariaReynolds · 27/03/2025 15:32

Forgot to mention I did do the golden dose as well this morning---it's super easy. So don't fret if you're planning to do yours.

I'm moving up to 5mg next week, and hoping to actually see some suppression this time around because I've had bugger all on 2.5.
