Welcome to thread 2 never thought we would be posting so much that we have to start a new thread.

I am still hovering around 12 and a half stone. I have been absolutely freezing to the point I have a duvet on the sofa.

I have had one NSV so far I can zip up my boots and they do not feel tight anymore.

@soupforbrains so sorry for your loss.

Suppression, nausea, the runs and sulphur burps are pretty intense for me today week 2 day 3. Met with a friend for lunch that's been planned for a long time, she doesn't know I'm on this but knows I'm on a diet. Ate as much as I possibly could without it being obvious but by jings I'm paying for it. I am considering moving my jab day to avoid this feeling at the weekends.

Pipsballoon · 23/03/2025 19:16

Hi all,
Week 4 injection done, and I think I might be experiencing a slight increase in nausea as the weeks add up, but nothing I can't handle. I'm also not as cold as I was in the first two weeks, and suppression is consistent and food noise fully eliminated, with no other symptoms to report.

Still finding 2.5 works very well for me (wish I had ordered another 2.5 instead of 5mg), so considering counting clicks to administer 3.75mg over the coming weeks, if I can stay on this voodoo magic potion. I say that because I have a medical appointment this week to do with my thyroid and am anticipating/dreading being told to stop injecting for now. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

SW: 11 st 3 lb
CW: 10 st 8 lb
GW: 9 st 3 lb (I'm 5 ft 2)

@Pipsballoon can you not just keep the 5mg for another month and order another 2.5 for this month if finance allows?

Pipsballoon · 23/03/2025 19:21

Fatmumslim01 · 23/03/2025 19:18

I could, finances are not an issue. I might wait til after my medical appointment and if I'm allowed to stay on it, should probably just order another 2.5!

popdepop · 23/03/2025 19:35

Anyone else noticed toilet habits have changed? I took my first dose Friday and haven't had a number 2. Sometimes feel I need one but nothing. I'm having fibre and drinking a lot of water. Any advice?

CarouselQueen · 23/03/2025 19:40

W2D1 so second jab done (slightly early, last night). Bar fatigue/coldness during week 1 hadn't noticed much else to be honest - not really had any food suppression or feeling full yet but know this does not start immediately for everyone. I have a new aversion to butter. I have been generally careful with eating this week so I have lost a little bit of weight but not sure I can lay that result as down to MJ.

@popdepop not particularly but prone to constipation at the best of times so I have pre-emptively started psyllium husk and magnesium capsules since so many people seem to swear by this and I am paranoid!

needtolose70lb · 23/03/2025 19:52

Hello everyone! So great to read all the updates.

i can’t believe that my next pen is ordered and should arrive in the next few days so I can start using it on Thursday. So much procrastination to start and now it just has become a part of life.

Lucky to still not have any particular side effects now the tiredness and cold have settled down. I’m only going to the loo every other day rather than every day, but I have also drastically cut down on crappy carbs and alcohol so those probably made up a lot of my waste 😂

Looks like I’ve lost a stone, which is insane. I will see for sure on Thursday for weigh in 4.

Still a long way to go but 70-14 is a lot nicer number to look at.

good luck all!

Paulahoust · 23/03/2025 20:06

Hi all I have been on this group all month and tonight is my 1st jab! So nervous and excited as my friend has lost a lot of weight on MJ, I have about 3 stone to loose and praying for minimal side effects x

SW 13 stone 5
GW 10 stone 6 as that is the last time I truly felt happy in myself, well done to everyone and cannot wait to be able to hopefully share my weight losses xx 💕 Also have a broken foot so can't exercise 🙈

CoffeeAndChoccies · 23/03/2025 20:33

W1 D6 and I definitely noticed the food noise returning from about Friday onwards (tomorrow night is jab time - only one my day to go!). I’m not sure whether it’s because it’s the time of the month or nearing the end of the week, or both, but I could have scoffed chocolate and goodness knows what else this weekend. Willpower was needed! I haven’t had mega suppression of my appetite but I have been much clearer headed (no food noise until the last few days!) and so have been able to follow my plan (doing team RH), eat healthy, try and hit my calories and macros and exercise - without having a constant battle with the part of my brain which can’t stop thinking about food and snacks!

I have also been more active this week than I have been in a long time - 2x strength workouts (gym classes), 2 x outdoor runs (following a 5k Garmin plan) and hit 10K steps a day - even been jumping on the treadmill before work to get them in (who even am I?!). I feel so much better for it!

Tbh I didn’t actually mind having to use a bit of willpower over the weekend, as I’m seeing it as practice for later down the line when I eventually stop MJ!

SW: 211.5lbs
CW: 205.9lbs
Loss: 5.6lbs

Deadringer · 23/03/2025 20:34

Hi all hope its OK if I join. I am taking my first jab tomorrow morning, I am nervous and excited. I lose weight very very slowly so always give up before I really get anywhere. Really hoping that mounjoro will help me succeed.
Starting weight 14 stone 4 pounds, bmi is over 35, no particular goal I will see how it goes but would like to lose at least 3 stone.

Mezzoprezzo · 23/03/2025 20:37

Loving reading all these positive updates. I had my first injection on Friday lunchtime. I noticed a slight reduction in appetite yesterday and then today it really kicked in! Seriously full and slightly nauseous after around half of what I'd normally want to eat.

dancemom · 23/03/2025 21:00

@tryingtobesogoodim staying on 2.5 for another 4 weeks. Suppression is good and is rather stay as low as possible while it’s working.

ShineyGreen · 23/03/2025 21:51

It’s brilliant that there are so many of us on this thread!

I ordered the eufy scales that have been mentioned lots on this Weight Loss Injections board and they are great. Easy to connect to my phone and give loads of stats so I can see how I’m doing on other things as well as just weight, like visceral fat. I didn’t even know it was a thing, let alone that it could be measured at home, but as the prompt for me to lose weight was the dr telling me I had a fatty liver I thought it would be good to monitor it myself.

Annoying thing is that they are calibrated differently and weigh 3lbs heavier than my old scales! Gutted that my stats look like I’ve put on 3lb overnight when I think this week I might have lost 3. Weigh day tomorrow.

Unbelievable lack of appetite since Weds, jab 4 was Friday night and I ordered another 2.5 because it seems to have all of a sudden gained momentum. Fingers crossed it continues!

Loveab123 · 23/03/2025 22:20

So I was sick, that's what I get for trying to eat 3 courses! Biggest meal I've eaten in 2 weeks and I definitely don't recommend it.

soupforbrains · 23/03/2025 23:23

Those of you who have been around since the last thread will be aware of my ongoing battle with side effects the day after I jab.

weeks 1 and 2 I had violent vomiting. But ONLY on Sunday. I jab on Saturday. Week 1 I jabbed evening. Week 2 I jabbed morning but it didn’t make much difference although the stomach churning and nausea was reduced in week 2.

week three I fasted from Saturday lunchtime and ate only a handful of dry crackers dotted throughout the day on Sunday and although I felt awful and had nausea I did avoid vomiting.

today is, once again Sunday and once again I have been violently sick. 😢

I can’t cope like this, so since my next pen has been approved and will arrive tomorrow, I’m ordering some additional needle tips and I’m going to try doing a half dose twice a week instead. To try and avoid the ‘peak’ after jabbing which is clearly causing my side effects.

interestingly I did tell my pharmacist about the vomiting etc when requesting my second pen and they still approved it but did add that if I continue to experience vomiting to let them know.

one minor positive is that the ‘show’ seems to be over now whereas the other times it kept me up most of the nights and I was totally wrecked at work on the Mondays.

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 24/03/2025 06:56

Wk 2 day 1
2nd Jab done 6pm last night, much easier. No ill effects yet and no disturbed sleep like I had the first time.

Sw 17st 2
CW 16st 10.25
GW 11st 7

This week's loss 5.75lbs

Happy with that!!

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 24/03/2025 07:01

@soupforbrains bless you that's awful. I really hope the split dose helps you

GameOfJones · 24/03/2025 07:40

Fingers crossed for you @soupforbrains that splitting the dose helps. That sounds really awful.

BeaTwix · 24/03/2025 08:22

Poor you @soupforbrains .

I’m week 2 and nausea has been an issue this week. It’s my day off work today and I’ve just woken up feeling hungry, sick and very very full all at the same time. It’s very odd.

cmh18 · 24/03/2025 09:09

Had anyone got a good solution for a bad stomach? I did my 3rd jab yesterday and just did 1.25mg to try to manage side effects. But even with the smaller dose I've woken up to sulphur burps and a dodgy stomach, it's been like this for 3 weeks and peppermint tea and gaviscon are having no effect!!

I'm taking digestive enzymes (Enzymedica Digest complete), was on them already but see them recommended for the burps etc. you could also try a probiotic such as BioGaia Gastrus.

What exactly do you mean by a "bad stomach"? Is it acid, nausea or?

TheSpoonyNavyReader · 24/03/2025 09:39

Oh @soupforbrains poor you, I hope that the 2 infections make you feel better.

I had my injection in Friday my last 2.5 and I think that I am going to need the 5 as the suppression has not been there, I think I will have a gain this week.

I can’t remember who was the seem height and weight as me from the last thread, if you are on here, give me a wave.

Poor you @soupforbrains - can you reduce your dose at all? Just try that for a week?

It's acid, sulphur burps, diarreah. I'm losing so much sleep as I'm up all night!!!

Choirgirl699 · 24/03/2025 10:24

Wk3 Day3 and I'm hungry! Not ravenous and no food noise for unhealthy food but I have had 2 healthy snacks already. Definitely increasing to 3.75mg on Saturday.

BeaTwix · 24/03/2025 10:26

It was weigh day today. Just forced myself to eat something and actually i feel better.

SW- too awful to post
CW - 121.7kg but... I've lost another 1.4kg
GW - 73kg (BMI = 25).

I am slowly inching back into familiar weight territory. Ive lost the stone and a half from here downwards a couple of times in the past few years with noom/ IF.

So I know I can do that - therefore my next big goal is to get to 104kg which is the lowest weight I have recorded on my fitness pal in the last 10 years. I have a big social thing in late July. I wonder if I can get there by then.....definitely by Christmas.

I know I'm in this for the long haul. If nothing else reducing weight more slowly logically seems like it might reduce the amount of excess skin I'm left with (which I'm concerned about). But better saggy skin than Type 2 DM and sleep apnoea.
