Hi,

Anyone on WLI and in the slow lane v. welcome here for a bit of plodding supportive chat!

Plodders, bobbers, plateau-ers, stallers and stuck ducks come on in! Would be great to chat with others who are in the same boat, ie travelling at the speed of snails on their WL journey.

I have a mountain to move (nearly 5 st), am not ready to give up on Mounjaro yet and would love a bit of company here on this long haul to reach a healthy BMI. 🦥 🐌 🏔️

Come join me if you have a long way to go (either due to slow losses or amount to lose) and would like some peer support to keep going when the scales are being stubborn. It’s hard being on WLI when it’s not working as well for you and progress is slow or stalled. This is a safe space to share anything, the good, the bad and the side effecty. Anything positive (scale or non scale related) as well as freedom to vent and grumble as much as you want

If you taking WLI and trucking along nicely or nearly at your goal weight that is fantastic but please post on a different thread.

@tryingtobesogood that sounds absolutely rotten. Is it worth taking some time to recover and then trying Wegovy?

I am on 15mg and tbh have very little appetite suppression and certainly no cessation of food chatter. But I find that I need less food to feel full (usually) - do others share this experience?

Elboob · 24/02/2026 00:24

@tryingtobesogood that sickness is what i had. So awful. And terrible cramping and bloating 😔

BackToWegovy · 24/02/2026 06:51

@tryingtobesogood I’m sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds like mine last year. It’s so frustrating but stopping is the only logical thing to do.

I now take psyllium husk and probiotics with digestive enzymes which I think help with preventing that complete non digestion and then horrific vomiting/sulphur/diarrhea. I haven’t had it since but on the other hand I haven’t been as light since nor have I braved the higher doses.

The 0.5mg Mounjaro is sort of going ok thanks. I lost a bit of weight last week, feeling a bit sick this morning but nothing terrible. Having a bit of a sugar binge at the moment which doesn’t help with side effects or with weight loss. Just annoyed with myself about that.

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 05/03/2026 09:59

Just checking in to see how everyone is getting on?

I’ve now lost the weight I put on over Christmas. For the second time this year. It’s still something of a mystery to me, the way my weight goes up and down. And in 14 months, I’ve only lost 2st2lbs - but I plod on.

tryingtobesogood · 07/03/2026 11:45

I’m still going up and down the same couple of pounds. My digestive system is almost back to normal and I still feel some suppression. I’ve not injected for 4 weeks now.

im away from next weekend, but when I get back im going to take a low ‘maintenance’ dose as I have tried to diet and I hate it. I rebel against it. It’s 40 years of this nonsense messing with my head. So, as I have 3 x 15mg pens in my fridge I am going to take 2.5 and see if that just helps me lose slowly over the next year. I’m also joining the gym and starting swimming and Pilates.

im not giving up, but I can’t go back up very high again. That was awful. But I can’t do it in my own.

Beachcomber74 · 09/03/2026 07:27

@tryingtobesogood sorry you’re struggling. Hope you enjoyed the weekend break.
Agree about trying to rebel against it. After years of failed Slimming World my pattern would be to try & trick the scales eating poorly on weekends then having decent few days & expecting to see results. I do like MJ in that it keeps me more on an even keel but yesterday I ate far too much & had terrible stomach ache so need to focus this week.
keep on keeping on all plodders out there!!

PlodAlongPolly · 12/03/2026 18:09

Hey all, just catching up, hope everyone’s keeping warm there’s an icy wind that it so bone chilling today 🥶

@tryingtobesogood I’m so sorry you had such an awful time of it, the food sitting in your stomach thing is the pits, I had a similar horrible night last year (minus the vomiting). I completely relate to what you and @Beachcomber74 say about diets and rebelling! That sounds like a good plan to use your 15mg pens to try low maintenance dosing and joining the gym and swimming is a really positive step too. My membership lapsed months ago but they are doing a free event for previous members to use the gym/ pool in a few weeks so I might go along and see if it sparks fresh interest! Hopefully when the weather decides to warm up it will give us all a boost.

I’m not losing anything so am tentatively upping my dose although this has brought back bouts of diarrhoea, not everyday but prob 2-3 days a week. If it gets worse I’ll rethink but if it stays with odd tummy upsets I think I’ll try and push through as would really like to get some benefits again with weight loss from the MJ. Being stuck in the same place is a bit 🫤

I've been terrible at posting recently and I've got no chance to catching up 😔

My news is...I have completely stopped plodding. I seem to have plonked myself down 14 weeks and stayed there (80kg/just under BMI 30). Very obvious changes need to be made. I'm off to Asda to pick up two pens this morning. I haven't ordered pens for about 13 weeks (had a surplus - didn't mean to run it down just...), maybe this is part of the issue! Hoping forking out £529 will kick me back into making an effort. It is pure laziness, I'm not even enjoying it!

Hi all, still plodding along here now at 19lbs lost since September my shape is definitely changing and slowly losing the weight. It does make me think I. Doing rubbish thing where I hear others who started the same time at are 3 stone loss x

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 16/03/2026 20:03

Hello fellow plodders

I think we deserve brownie points (and a few lbs off) just for valiantly keeping on going. If not, you know, actual brownies.

I had what looked to be a bit of progress. My jeans are definitely too big. So I bought some the next size down. Yep, they were too small

susiedaisy1912 · 19/03/2026 13:46

I’ve entered the plodding lane. Lost 4 stones fairly easily then the next 2 stones took quite a bit longer and now it’s taken 4 months to loose 7lbs. It’s will be two years on MJ at the end of this month. Although I’m still only 8.5mg as I seem to get bad reactions if I go up the dose too quickly so I’ve chickened out of going higher. However I still have 2 stones left to loose so I’m gonna have to brave it and creep up the doses.

BackToWegovy · 21/03/2026 14:17

@susiedaisy1912 honestly plodding is fine. Don’t up the dose so that you get a bad reaction, you might stop altogether and start gaining.

I am finally on a downward trend again on 7.5mg. No side affects currently. Planning to stick with this dose for the moment. My app shows I have lost 0.7kg in the last month (based on averaged weights) which is very much plodding but so much better than gaining or maintaining. I gained about 0.8kg the month before so yay to the downward trend (even if it is slower than the upward trend was 😭)

PlodAlongPolly · 24/03/2026 10:34

Hi everyone, wanted to pop on for a quick hello and update, the kids are breaking up for Easter in a few days and will be mad in the holidays as usual and won’t get much chance to message then!

Hope you’re all well and doing ok, sorry for not messaging replies individually since I was last on but wanted to wish my fellow plodders well! 🐌❤️

After another long stall period I nipped my dose up a bit and in the last week have dropped a pound, hurrah! Not much but will take that as a win after being stuck for several weeks. Appetite has dropped and nausea returned, cooked food/ hot food not appealing eating too much cereal, nibbling crackers and skipping meals! (feels so reticent of pregnancy) must get nutrition on track, v aware protein and fibre is not where it should be. Resolving to get a chicken to roast in my next shop as can at least strip that and have cold with a salad.
That said enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day pub lunch before upping my dose and a roast was v nice, couldn’t manage it all and took the leftovers home. Need to get my brain enthused about meat/ eggs, veg and cooked food generally again while on this higher dose (12mg) or no chance of losing more lbs.. hmmm.

I saw this and it kind of resonated with where I’m at, so thought would post. Sending love and strength plodders 🌟 well done for where you are and how far you’ve come, we’re not done yet and we will get there one step at a time 🌼🌅

tryingtobesogood · 24/03/2026 13:11

Hi everyone, congratulations to anybody that’s made even the smallest amount of progress, or even just not gone backwards.

I’m back from my holiday, and weighed myself this morning and I’ve gone up a little bit as you would expect when you go on holiday. Unfortunately, I also picked up a virus so until that goes, I can’t face anything to do with dieting.

So a couple of days, I’m gonna make the decision about whether I restart MJ on a very low dose, or whether I try to push through without it. I don’t really know what to do.

PlodAlongPolly · 25/03/2026 23:47

Sorry you’re poorly @tryingtobesogood but hope you had a good holiday. I guess you could come off and see how you go? Could always go on a very low dose if it’s a struggle without?

Sorry it wouldn’t let me attach the quote thing I mentioned above for some reason, but the words were ‘every accomplishment starts with the decision to try’. I think if I can decide to try even a little bit more (or more often) it might help things move a bit in the right direction!

AllRevvedUpWithNoPlaceToGo · 28/03/2026 12:52

I seem to be flitting between the same 3lb in weight, and can't get past that. I've got 3 more weeks left on my current 5mg pen and I'm thinking about moving up to a 7.5 one next time just to get over this blip, even though I'd wanted to stay on as low a dose as possible. At least I've got a couple of weeks to think about it.

AlmostStoppedII · 08/04/2026 14:07

Hope you’re all enjoying the lovely weather (assuming UK, of course!).

After WI every single Saturday since I started MJ 94 weeks ago, I became a bit tardy with it the last two weeks - zero change in months will do that I guess! The good news is I WI on Monday and found I was down 2.2 lbs since last WI (although only 0.7 lbs done from previous low 7 weeks before!). Anyway, a new low has boosted me a bit to start trying a bit harder. What really helped I think was helping young adult DC & GF to move from a second floor flat - a lot more energetic than normal, and often too irritated/knackered to eat. Would love to go sub 12 st by 100 weeks but at then moment nearly 5 lbs in 6 weeks sounds like fantasy land!

Now trying to shift my mindset to sorting out the things in my own home/life now - which seems to,be a lot mentally harder! Can’t believe we are already half way through the second week of the holidays - well I can I suppose. After nearly 30 years in teaching I am very used to hoping I will get 100 things done every holiday but actually getting 2 done at most!

susiedaisy1912 · 09/04/2026 06:31

Well being on 8.5mg didn’t go well, boy did I feel rotten after a few weeks of that dose so I’m back down to 7.5mg, trouble is I’m not loosing on this dose. Been going up and down the same 3 pounds for months now. I’m Tracking calories, prioritising protein, staying hydrated etc & going to the gym, but struggling to keep below 1600 calories a day a I’m so hungry. I guess I’m going to have to try to increase the dose again in the future, think I will do it more slowly this time but god damn it’s an expensive way of doing it.

Overtheatlantic · 09/04/2026 07:10

I’ve made progress recently, 3kg loss this month, but I’m convinced it’s because I’ve been going to bed hungry. I don’t know what else to do. I feel unable to eat after 4pm; I mean nausea and bloating.

0ncemorewithfee1ing · 09/04/2026 09:53

Sympathy @susiedaisy1912 and @AllRevvedUpWithNoPlaceToGo - and empathy, as I’m exactly the same, bobbing up and down the same pound or two and have been for all this year. It is expensive for this but I’m frightened that stopping will cause the weight to pile back on.

I’m hoping that this is one of those setting points you read about and that at some point I’ll blast through it.

PlodAlongPolly · Yesterday 19:00

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve not posted in a bit, has taken me a couple of weeks to land after the busy Easter holidays! How are people doing?

No progress weight loss wise for me (weight remains in stall, just under the 12st mark) but bra size has once again changed, cup the same but needed to get a couple new ones with next band width down.

I know I’d be gaining off the wli’s so keeping going for now, even if further progress down has stalled for a long stretch.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the sunny weekend plodders! Hopefully we’ll get some more next week ☀️
