2lbs off this week, making a total of 16.5 lbs in 8 weeks. I took 7.5mg on Sunday and the suppression has improved.

SW 12.1 and a half
CW 10.13
GW 9.3 which takes me just in the correct bmi range. Not sure achievable- it’s many many years since this number was seen.

I’m feeling better in clothes, face thinner but not losing weight off my stomach.

Running slowly twice a week, 15 minute weights twice a week and walking 40-60 mins a day. I think I need to do more strength training.

Keep going everyone !

Hello all. I’ve just taken my bonus dose of 5mg pen, and managed to extract 0.7ml- would some clever soul please be able to tell me what dose this would work out to be?

I make it 5.83

minipoodlemum · 11/03/2025 18:33

1kg off this week. I went up to 3.5 using a 5mg pen but it made me feel dreadful. Jab day today and I have gone back to 2.5.

SW 86.7kg
CW 80.2kg
TW 67kg

I am about 1/3 of the way there so feeling optimistic about all the lovely swimwear I am going to buy this summer.

stilllovingmysleep · 11/03/2025 19:15

@2025istheyeari sorry to hear you're feeling so rubbish. I also struggle with waves of exhaustion but other times feel fine
I would recommend, as others have done:
Electrolytes
Iron and vit D to be checked but to be honest doesn't hurt to take a good multivitamin and maybe some iron temporarily (I do and it makes a big difference)
Lots of water
Lots of protein with meals
Upping calories slightly
Some exercise even walking to increase energy
And some more good quality carbs as you're craving them
And the most important: sleep!

Hi all,
Happy 3rd month to January starters, wow how did that go so fast (thank you, February)!

In 2 days I take my first 7.5mg and I am very nervous about it - reading the other month starters, it seems (anecdotally) there is a large camp who found 7.5mg not that effectual, and a large camp who had side effect increases and felt relieved when they moved to 10mg or moved back down to 5mg.

Doesn't seem like a popular maintenance dose! I'm looking at the Dec/Nov/Oct starter threads as they all have more experiences at 7.5mg than us in here where only a few who started early Jan have just started 7.5mg...

Maybe we will be different lol!

Anyway - I'm just really happy with the progress so far, very little side effects apart from this bloomin' stye in the eye, and great suppression on 5mg. I am looking and feeling smaller and it is much easier to exercise now (I don't enjoy it, but I do think I look better in gym clothes so it isn't such a loathsome experience now)!

If 7.5mg is misery, I'll come back down to 5mg. Good luck to any fellow dose progressers, too!

No need to work it out manually - use Shotsy (app) - add your doses to date and it'll work out estimate levels in your system :)

The method is 5(mg) / 60 x 70 = 5.83mg 🙂

Except you do need to input what dose you took into the shotsy app so it can work it out.

Morning all. Jab day for me today. Yesterday was the first day I felt well all week, I’m feeling a bit trepidatious about jabbing again. Definitely won’t be going up to 7.5 when this pen ends.

My energy levels are low, I’m finding running very hard.
Moan moan moan.

Would it be worth considering dropping down a bit for this next one?

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 12/03/2025 06:47

I’ve wondered that. I didn’t want to get into click counting but I’m considering either doing 3.75 or doing half a dose today and half on Sat. What do you think?

Just read this lovely article about strength training in 90 year olds: https://www.theguardian.com/wellness/2025/mar/11/older-adults-strength-training

My mum (at 80) has recently taken up strength training and my goodness what a difference it has made in her overall movement. It’s literally taken years off her.

UnderandOverwhelmed · 12/03/2025 07:44

Week 11 day 1, I'm going to go up to 5mg today with my new pen. Lost this week after no loss last so very happy with that. Still feel so bloated though, wonder what might help that.

Week 9 day 5.

I really needed this two pound loss this week. I have been really tired and woke up with a bad headache. Makes it all worthwhile 😍

Part of me is worried to even take the slightly higher bonus dose on Friday, never mind stepping up to 7.5 next week! I can’t bear waste though (part of the reason I got so fat) so I will be brave with the bonus and reassess after that. I can just count clicks if it’s going to be too debilitating.

Got lots of house admin type jobs to do today (day off) and the sun is shining.

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 12/03/2025 08:34

I’ve gone for 3.75 today. May the force be with me.

Hi KhakiCat

I'm on my second week of 7.5mg. No side effects, great suppression (ie I can eat a full meal, I just make smarter choices) and loosing about 2lbs a week.

I also read the posts on 7.5mg bad experiences and was nervous. I shouldn't have been and I think it's my favourite dose so far.

Appreciate were all different, but thought it might be helpful to share a positive experience too.

myladyjane · 12/03/2025 08:44

@IBloodyLoveMyBlanket I was very against click counting before I started. And bonus doses for that matter.

I have click counted all the way through my second pen to manage side effects. They aren't dreadful by any means but they are unpleasant and I dont want to unduly stress my gut. I am still feeling effects/losing albeit at a slowish rate. I did 45 clicks for 3.75 then 2 weeks of 53 to get about 4.3. This weeels side effects much milder.

So may be worth a go? It can be a bit wearing to constantly feel off and I bet your habits are already better than a couple of months ago so if suppression is a bit lighter you will still be able to manage.

meatyryvita · 12/03/2025 08:47

HeavyHeidi · 11/03/2025 09:57

Try to think about the weight loss as hopefully something we can sustain, and not a short term crash diet. As long as the scales are moving the right way, it's all good.

For rewards, I'm definitely going to get some tweaks to face - touch of filler, maybe check out what else firming there is on the market nowadays. Maybe will buy that Sezane silk blouse I've been eyeing if I actually manage to get to current CW.

LOVE Sezane! I've bought some jeans to get into when I hit my goal. Their clothing is just gorgeous.

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 12/03/2025 08:50

That’s encouraging @myladyjane. I really want my gut to recover, it’s been tough going this week.
I’m a stone down, which is great but not spectacular, I’m thinking if I can keep going at 3.75 without side effects I’ll then reassess at two stones loss.

My mum (at 80) has recently taken up strength training and my goodness what a difference it has made in her overall movement. It’s literally taken years off her.

I have a lady coming to Bodypump classes - she's in her 80s, looks amazing, visibly fit and toned and moves like a gazelle. First time I saw her, I asked what was her secret and she said bodypump, twice per week for the past 30 years. Goals.

HeavyHeidi · 12/03/2025 08:56

@meatyryvita only issue is I can't choose between Vintage Blue and Blue Storm. I like the Storm colour a bit more, but I have more things that would go with Vintage.

MJalltheway · 12/03/2025 09:06

I'm halfway through my 5mg pen and up until now have been definite that I wouldn't move up next month because I had really strong suppression. It's started to tail off a bit now though, I can eat snacks again (but have stuck to my resolution of only having fruit and nuts as snacks) and I'm hungry in the mornings (but am sticking to IF). Not really sure what to do now, will see how the next week goes.
Did aquarobics last night, I love it so much! Really fun I'd really recommend it for anyone just starting out with exercising. I do it because I've had multiple joint injuries over the past 5 years which each knock me out for a good 6 months.

Jins · 12/03/2025 09:08

The blue storm one is fabulous. I lean towards that colour frequently but it definitely can be tricky with other things. It’s not always easy with denim and some greys but most neutrals look great.

It’s good to hear a positive experience about 7.5mg @FuzzyFeelingFairy. I’ve not had side effects so far and don’t expect them to appear so part of me is ready to just go straight in with the full dose but the other part of me is looking at the pot of money set aside for WLI and thinking it won’t last long at this rate 😆

They are both lovely but the Storm one is gorgeous! I have this shirt actually (bigger size than I'd like at this point!) in a pattern they no longer do (a dark teal with flowers) and I love it!
