I’ve gone for 3.75 today. May the force be with me.

Fingers crossed that is a better experience for you.

myladyjane · 12/03/2025 09:19

@IBloodyLoveMyBlanket that's about the same loss as me. Which is good going in 8 ish weeks, it really is!

Hope it works ok and you feel better on it

W8D5 5mg
Lost to date: -8kg
To goal 1 (<30 BMI): 7.4kg

Hi all,
Happy 3rd month to January starters, wow how did that go so fast (thank you, February)!

In 2 days I take my first 7.5mg and I am very nervous about it - reading the other month starters, it seems (anecdotally) there is a large camp who found 7.5mg not that effectual, and a large camp who had side effect increases and felt relieved when they moved to 10mg or moved back down to 5mg.

Doesn't seem like a popular maintenance dose! I'm looking at the Dec/Nov/Oct starter threads as they all have more experiences at 7.5mg than us in here where only a few who started early Jan have just started 7.5mg...

Maybe we will be different lol!

Anyway - I'm just really happy with the progress so far, very little side effects apart from this bloomin' stye in the eye, and great suppression on 5mg. I am looking and feeling smaller and it is much easier to exercise now (I don't enjoy it, but I do think I look better in gym clothes so it isn't such a loathsome experience now)!

If 7.5mg is misery, I'll come back down to 5mg. Good luck to any fellow dose progressers, too!

Edited

This is so interesting! I posted yesterday about feeling pretty rubbish and I haven’t found the suppression as good, nor lost weight with my first 7.5mg. I’ve just done my second jab so will be interested to see how the next few weeks go. Am off to read that posts too! Thanks

@Jins how's the sizing? I hear it fits small and I also have boobs. Size up?

HeavyHeidi · 12/03/2025 08:56

@meatyryvita only issue is I can't choose between Vintage Blue and Blue Storm. I like the Storm colour a bit more, but I have more things that would go with Vintage.

That shirt is stunning! Love both colours, how exciting! Sezane is on my list of places to buy from When I’m at goal!

I find their sizing to be on the small side but the shoulders are always too narrow for me so I’ve never kept an order yet.

I’ve got a top the exact colour of the blue storm so know it’s a bit tricky with other colours at times. @meatyryvita will probably have a better idea of sizing generally.

cloudjumper · 12/03/2025 10:43

W11D1 another kilo down for me - chipping away at it, literally! 9 kgs in 10 weeks, it's slloooowwww.... But steady at least. Did my first 7.5 mg jab yesterday, all good so far, fingers crossed.
On this trajectory, I should be at my GW by end-August, which seems a long way off.

I tried my size 14 jeans yesterday - they do fit, but are still really tight/pinchy, so I think I'm going to wait a bit longer before ditching the size 16s. Life's too short for uncomfortable jeans 😆

I also share the love for Bodypump, I did it for many years, and it's what made me love lifting weights. I only stopped because the instructor at the gym I went to at the time was rubbish, and I got so fed up. Love my current gym, and love doing weight training - give me deadlifts over cardio/circuits any day! 😍 But I'm slightly concerned about the impact of the hysterectomy surgery that I'll have at the beginning of April, in terms of muscle loss. I'll be out of action for at least 8 weeks, and even then I will likely have to take it super-slow with exercise.

SW 100.7kg
CW 91.3 kg
GW 70 kg

I was a 16 when I ordered the shirt and got it in that size. I have/had (it's all change right now thanks to MJ!) big boobs and it just about fit without any gaping. My experience based on the shirt that I have is that it was true to size. I've also got a couple of their more flowy tops and a long t-shirt dress and again, they fit true to size.

BlueLimes · 12/03/2025 10:55

I had 7.5mg on Sunday morning, I had high suppression Monday but tbh don’t feel much different to 5mg.

I’m thinking that nothing puts me off food - annoyingly.

Are you very tall? I'm 83kg and would have no hope of getting in size 14 jeans until I reach probably 75kg or even less! I seem to be permenantly a size 16 no matter what I do. Funny how people vary so much. I've been pretty much 1kg per week too, thought it might slow down but I'm struggling to get my calories in on 5mg.

cloudjumper · 12/03/2025 11:37

@Bear2014 I'm 1.70m, which I think is about 5 ft 6/5 ft 7 or so? Tbh, these are stretchy jeans (from Next), the only model I have been wearing for years now! Might be a whole other story with another brand 😆

Ah ok I'm 5'4 but do tend to carry more on my bottom half. Stretchy jeans sound good to me 😉

MJalltheway · 12/03/2025 11:55

Wow @cloudjumper I'm 5'10" and now 93 kg and still in 18 (stretchy) jeans!! All my weight is on my stomach though.

unicornsaremagical · 12/03/2025 12:08

I’m 5ft6 currently 78kg and only just in 12s. i think it varies where you carry your weight and body shape etc

HeavyHeidi · 12/03/2025 12:16

Yes weights and sizes really differ depending on body composition and where you carry your weight. I used to have a flatmate, same height, we were the same size and could borrow each other's jeans. But I was 10 kilos heavier.

JoanCollinsDiva · 12/03/2025 13:02

I'm 5"8" and 11 stone 13 as of last Friday and am still in size 14 jeans. Could squeeze into my stretchy 12's but probably wouldn't be comfy. I can get in some size 10-12 tops/dresses though, but it depends where they're from! I'm a cross between a pear/hourglass shape.

cloudjumper · 12/03/2025 15:32

I'm chunky all over 😂which has been confirmed by the body scan machine in my gym - its segmental fat analysis says that I carry about 3kg excess weight in each of my arms, and nearly 7 kg extra in each leg, as well as 17 kg extra in my trunk! 🤔😆

Suppression is sky-high today, after my jab last night - I'm even struggling with drinking water!

Good grief, that's terrifyingly specific. I suspect a body scan of me would reveal I'm constructed entirely of chocolate biscuits.

HeavyHeidi · 12/03/2025 15:37

I should really go check myself on the fancy measuring device at the gym but I don't want to yet. I am expecting it will spit out a result that will horrify the poor personal trainer.

hetty37 · 12/03/2025 15:42

Been hesitant - I did 45 clicks this morning of my 7.5mg - can I do another 15 for full dosing tomorrow???

What dose do you want to achieve? I don't think that subsequent jabs work that way, as your body will have stared to metabolise the dose you did yesterday already 🤔

I should have done 7.5mg really but bottled it earlier today - I’ll do it next week !

Ireolu · 12/03/2025 17:06

Has anyone done before and current body shots yet? It's keeping me going with the calorie deficit. I have pictures from Dec/Jan - 1 week in/and now. In Dec was probably a size 20 wearing generous 16s. I was in denial and hated having my picture taken. Whilst away in Dec a few pics with the family really brought into sharp focus how bad it had got. Scales will remain the same even if I choose not to get on them if I continue to eat everything without abandon. I really hope not to let things spiral again.

KhakiCat · 12/03/2025 18:11

Great to hear from the first of us starting 7.5mg! No horror stories so far is making me feel much better about doing my first tomorrow! Thank goodness for this thread 😆

RosaBaby2 · 12/03/2025 18:11

@MJalltheway i am the same, this week I'm being tempted to have a little bit of what I don't need 😅 definitely moving up after this pen!

Anyone doing a tour of the Greek Yoghurt market?

Fage is my favourite at the moment, just bought Tesco and Yeo Valley to try. Aldi is alright, co-op extra special is also nice. Anyone have any other faves?
