Lovely to read how much more positive everyone's feeling this week! Seeing some sunshine really is good for the soul ☀️

Week 11 day 0 for me; I should be injecting today but I didn't do it last week until late on Sunday when I got back and I'm not going to be at home next Saturday so will jab on Sunday mornings for the next couple of weeks and see how that goes.

Stats:
SW 15.13.0
CW 13.12.0
TW 29lbs

I've also seen the 2 year reset thing and was wondering if when we put on the weight, things like our skeletal mass etc have to increase in order to support all the extra weight and it takes time for that to reduce, but while it is larger it requires more sustenance to support it, thus increasing our appetite etc. Sorry for the brain splurge; not sure if that makes sense to anyone else! 🤪

SteveHarringtonsHair · 08/03/2025 11:30

Good morning all. Well done to everyone this week on some consistent losses.

I had the worst reaction to my jab last week. So poorly and have only just felt like eating. Unsurprisingly I’ve lost another 4lbs which I’m of course happy with but also a little concerned.
I know we’re meant to up the dosage at every stage but I’ve decided to stick at 5mg for the next month.

Thanks to all who recommended Oushk. I ordered my next pen with them, with a discount at 7.5mg but was able to change the dosage with a quick email and no hassle refund too.
Very impressed.

Good luck all, for another week of losses.

SW 196lbs
CW 169lbs
GW 133lbs

Thelittlestranger · 08/03/2025 11:32

Makes complete sense. It's been my previous set points that have taken the 'longest' to get through for me.

Past 11st 4 and 11st AND 10st 10. Can't quite believe Ive made it past all of them. Waiting for tomorrow for this week's WI...

I'm also fixated on my crepey neck. There was much discussion earlier around stomachs. Mine is great but only because I had a tummy tuck 5 years ago that changed so much for me. It was a highly emotive experience but I don't regret it for an instant. However, all your discussions got me thinking about all the things I've done because of how I feel about my body. My husband doesn't get it at all. I hope my daughters can be free of it.

So pleased to hear all the positive vibes

IBloodyLoveMyBlanket · 08/03/2025 11:49

@UnderandOverwhelmed that's amazing, well done! One of my milestones is to get below 200lb, I shall be doing victory laps of the neighbourhood in hotpants when I achieve it. Grin

mince3point14159265 · 08/03/2025 11:56

@Thelittlestranger the crepey neck thing is horrible for me too. If anyone finds a miracle product that works please, please, please share! 🙏

RosaBaby2 · 08/03/2025 11:57

@MananaMananaPenelope @DGonMJ

Thanks I'll check my batteries first and if not I will get those scales instead!

Jins · 08/03/2025 12:07

I’m 4lbs off my sticking point of 10st 3. It’s going to be interesting

HeavyHeidi · 08/03/2025 12:07

I think I'll try Ultherapy for the neck. Otherwise have started using my tret on it, will see if it makes a difference. Might try with at home microneedling too.

HeavyHeidi · 08/03/2025 12:12

I'm past my sticky 72 kilos and now also sticky 68 kilos. I have not been able to go below 65 for many years, so let's see if this is possible. And 62 has been my lowest adult weight - that's the dream.

MJalltheway · 08/03/2025 12:22

RosaBaby2 · 08/03/2025 08:31

What scales are you all using? I'm not sure what is going on with mine but when I first step on they tell me a different weight, then after that consistently the same weight (just tested it 5 times) 🙄

My scales do the same. When you take them out and put them down, they consistently 'blip' a little and overweigh by 1.8kg. I just tap them once to reset the tare and then they are fine.

unicornsaremagical · 08/03/2025 13:26

Well done everyone on their losses this week! Rubbish week for me, dental abscess meaning antibiotics and alot of pain relief which has caused awful bloating and me not wanting to move from my bed so only a 2lb loss. Week 9 jab done and using 7.5mg so hoping for a better week. I’ve noticed something about my scales, weirdly in ounces it stops at 8 so it won’t move down to the lower lb unless it’s .8 or less. Very weird

TicTac80 · 08/03/2025 14:22

Hi all,

I did my weigh in and bonus dose yesterday. I'm about 1kg down this week. 64.3kg. I did a quick look through the history on my Renpho app and it looks like I've dropped 7kg of fat! that's quite scary. I need to lose about just over 0.2% fat to get me to the top range of average, and 3% subcut fat to get to average on that.

Getting there slowly but surely. I was off work yesterday but had a heavy going Teams meeting and just flaked afterwards. Stuffed myself with a lovely thai beef salad that I ordered in from Wagamama. Took me about 2hrs to get through it and then was full for ages. I attempted a kids cheeseburger last night and couldn't finish it. Does anyone else find that it seems to take an age for stomach to empty food? That's how it felt last night - I felt so nauseous. I've not eaten yet today as not hungry at all, but I'm planning on doing some meal prep this weekend. I think raw salad and veg with some grilled meat/chicken or cheese is the way to go for me. Rich stuff makes me feel sick. I still have more than one unopened box of cheese from Xmas in my fridge!! That would have all been finished by mid Jan before. Exercise has also gone for Burton this week!! Ooops!

MananaMananaPenelope · 08/03/2025 15:59

@unicornsaremagical a 2lb loss is great! Sorry you've not been well.

Another good loss @TicTac80 🏅.

I've been so unproductive today, feeling cold for some reason, had a sports massage 😓, and have had my tens machine thing on my sore bits. I had so many plans but have sat listening to an audiobook while looking for a holiday to book for my birthday.

Had a lovely lunch - I allow myself bread at the weekend, one portion of bread each day if I fancy it. I had a greek flatbread with rocket, medium rare steak sliced really thinly, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and parmesan shavings. I literally weighed every element, weighed the toasted flatbread and added the toppings 😅. It was really lovely.

Pandora71 · 08/03/2025 16:15

It’s been a better couple of days for me and/or it is sunny! Weight is continuing to drop off and I’m shocked every time I stand on the scale. The number is so low now that it doesn’t even hold much meaning to me! Just keep going, just keep going.

I’m having a very active long weekend with a PT session, running, cycling, gardening… PT did my numbers and shows my “metabolic” age to be 15 years older than I am, which is pretty awful and mostly a result of my low muscle mass. I have very low visceral fat though, I’m fat on the outside not the inside….! I guess that’s a good thing.

The quality of the food I am eating is still not great. It’s not bad but I’ve basically stuck with my semi-healthy diet in lower portions, but entirely cut the refined sugar and alcohol. Protein still seems a struggle to get in enough quantity.

Tomorrow I have a family event with pub lunch and I’ve done my usual mitigation of deciding to cycle there (50km round trip)…. But the difference tomorrow should be that I don’t indulge in a massive 3 course meal with a beer because I’ve “earned it”. Let’s see

I jab on a Sunday night, which works for me. I’m low calorie all week and then can recharge a bit and involve myself in some social eating at the weekend (without going crazy or “falling of the wagon”… god I hate that phrase).

@IBloodyLoveMyBlanket a jog round the block in hot pants at goal weights sounds awesome!! I’ve got my eye on you now. Fwiw, I’ve always run in whatever including shorts and all weights! Getting shorts that are a bit longer and don’t chafe is a game changer.

SW 160lbs
CW 147.2lbs
initial GW 130lbs

Nearly halfway.

HeavyHeidi · 08/03/2025 19:01

went for a run, weather was so lovely so didn't have an excuse not to. I don't like running. But it sure is easier with less bodyweight to lug around.

DGonMJ · 08/03/2025 19:09

@MananaMananaPenelope that lunch sounds delicious! Hope you found a nice holiday. I too need to book something for Easter…I’m feeling like I’ve been at work for too long without a break.

@TicTac80 well done on the loss, you must be close to goal weight? I think we’re same height (is it 5’5”?) I’m about 5kg behind you so it’ll be at least another 5 weeks till I’m at my first goal weight of 65kg. I have mixed ethnic heritage so officially I should be aiming for 60kg to get BMI to under 23.

I haven’t been near that weight since my teens/twenties and I don’t know if I fancy long term maintenance at that weight now I’m likely heading into peri.

@Pandora71 50km sounds like a lot! Surely that deserves at least two courses! Well done on the low visceral fat, that’s the most important one to lose so you’ve nailed it.

My 5mg pen from Oushk has just arrived. Why am I so excited to crack it open tomorrow morning?!

Hello,

What does NSV stand for ?!

Not sure if anyone's replied to you, but NSV is non scale victory!

MananaMananaPenelope · 09/03/2025 07:03

Morning 🌅 everyone. I’m going to my Pilates reformer class this morning. Wish me luck, I was much slimmer and fitter when I did my last one.

I didn’t book a break @DGonMJ , I can’t decide whether to go to my favourite Lake District hotel and relax doing not a huge amount other than eat, walk and spa, or whether to do a city break somewhere like Amsterdam. It’s only three nights away.

No change on the scales for me today (daily weigher).

Was your pen late @DGonMJ ? There was a lot of chat on the Ouskh Facebook group about DPD not delivering one day this week. Ouskh posted to say that they would replace any items that were compromised time wise or something like that.

DareDevil223 · 09/03/2025 07:12

I know it's 7am but I have to tell someone! I just got on the scales and my BMI is 24.9. I'm not overweight anymore! By the slightest of margins I know but I couldn't tell you the last time that was the case.

I almost can't believe it. When I started on Ozempic 2.5 years ago my BMI was 44.3 and I was just over 20 stone. I'm going to carry on losing as I'd like to get to a BMI of 22/23 but I'm overjoyed.

It's still been hard work and effort, being in a constant deficit can be tiring and I've worked so hard in the gym to maximise muscle and minimise loose skin but to not have had the anxiety, the food noise, the constant urge to eat has been incredible and made it possible. But it's not the easy way out despite what some of the idiots on MN say.

I genuinely believe WLI have saved my life and sanity. I hope you all get to your goals too.

HeavyHeidi · 09/03/2025 07:19

@DareDevil223 that is amazing! Your quality of life must be totally different now.
And yes of course it's still hard work, it's not like we could just sit there and let the fat magically melt off.

Zempy · 09/03/2025 07:34

@DareDevil223 Congratulations!!!! 🥳

A healthy weight. You must be so proud and happy. What a bloody achievement!

I am in a lot of pain at the moment (hypermobility/arthritis) but I’m going to force myself out and try to do a walk. Going to be another busy week at work…

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

DGonMJ · 09/03/2025 07:45

Huge congrats on hitting the under 25 bmi milestone! @DareDevil223

@MananaMananaPenelope Amsterdam or Lake District both sound great. Book both!
Yes, my Oushk pen was a day late, I think the problem was with the DPD depot near them. Still felt fridge cold when it arrived and the ice pack was still partially frozen.

So official weigh in today and have lost 0.5kg compared to last Sunday. I’m hoping to get to 66kg for a weekend away with friends early April, there’s a swimming pool. I’m going to treat myself to a new swimsuit.

@DGonMJ we're about the same weight - do you also feel that weight loss gets more noticeable suddenly? Meaning when I first started, the first pounds coming off didn't seem to make much of a difference, was still large and uncomfortable, just marginally less so. But now that the first number on the scale is 6, any additional weight lost is really noticeable. Oh, the belly pooch is so much smaller today. Armpit fat roll - better than yesterday. Slim skirt that didn't fit properly just a few days ago is suddenly flattering.
Love it.

Do need to buy new bras later today though, just need to check if I need 1 cup smaller or 2.

Pandora71 · 09/03/2025 08:21

@DareDevil223 congratulations, what an awesome achievement. What are your plans for maintenance?

@DGonMJ 50km might sound like a lot but it’s basically 2hrs or so on the bike pootling along. The whole “I did an exercise so I deserve to eat everything” is part of my downfall. There is fuelling properly, and then being stupid.

My body is very tired from my exertions yesterday but it is going to be SUNNY today and I can’t pass up the opportunity to get out for a ride.

I feel like this. First stone and a half, I didn’t feel it showed at all.

22/23 pounds lost and suddenly I look and feel a size smaller. Weird.
