Hi all
I’ve just done my first 7.5mg dose, anyone else worry when they move up that they’ll get symptoms?😳.

I also have to share something that keeps making me chuckle, I have big boobs and was always pleased they hadn’t gone really droopy, well, another side effect of losing weight is that they have, I think my fat must have been propping them up, they are definitely v v saggy and need some serious scaffolding I think 🤣

@0ncemorewithfee1ing please don't feel unwelcome, everyone's experience is equally valid. Like many others have said, 19 or even 12.5mg are where people find the most losses, so there's still a way for you to go yet if you decide to continue.

@LillethCrane for my bonus dose from 2.5, I just extracted 0.6ml to give a 2.5mg dose then took a half dose out of my 5mg pen to make a 5mg dose. If you are doing that to make up 7.5 you'd need 0.6ml from the 5mg pen then 20 clicks of the 7.5mg pen.

Thanks so much for this clear explanation! Do you know which needle to use? I read somewhere about needing one with a fine grade tip?

Yes, totally. I’ll be quite scared to move up to 7.5 - let us know how you go! Re boobs get yourself to a bravissimo - mine are definitely going a bit that way 😬 I definitely think my belly will be the last bit of chub to go… still currently have the back rolls… whilst legs are getting skinnier- the joys of being an inverted triangle/apple 😰

another colleague was saying I lost weight and am I on jabs?
I denied and showed her my calorie tracking app. I might share with some other colleagues who are strugging with weight, if they ask. This particular one is besties with the other colleague I wrote about, the one who was loudly declaring what stupid people WLI users are. So no, I do not think I will discuss the jabs in front of that audience.

I ran the Atkins gauntlet, the keto gauntlet and the vaping gauntlet and that’s enough for me!

Oooh, I just a call from my hospital - they have scheduled my hysterectomy surgery in 4 weeks!!! After over a year waiting and chasing, ending up in A&E in August due to horrific bleeding, then being told numerous times that there are delays, it's finally happening. Relieved that I finally have a date but scared at the same time. No idea what this will mean for my mj journey, but I really hope I won't have to start from scratch!

I've only told DH and my gym coach so far - thinking I'd be happy to share with certain friends if they ask/comment on me losing weight, but certainly won't volunteer anything without testing the waters.

Ouskh have launched video weight verification appointments today, a one off event for now. You have to book a five minute slot, have your scales and photo ID to hand and complete a verification process.

Right so you know today is shrove Tuesday and lent starts tomorrow. I don't suppose anyone fancies an anti lent project do they? Rather than giving something up, taking up a positive health habit?

I think I'm going to do try this for exercise - do a 20 min YouTube work out every day, alternating between a strength one, a cardio one and a yoga. The same 3 so I don't have to choose. Take the thought out of it and try and make a habit. Not worry about steps or going to the gym or anything like that, just keep it super simple. If I do it every day til Easter I can get the lovely earrings I've got my eye on.

Brilliant idea @myladyjane 👏. I won't join you as I will fail, but I will be willing you on - I really cba on my work days, when I sleep poorly and am out of the house for 11 hours on average.

I have undertaken to do an ifit hike and a yoga session every day on my 3 days off.

That sounds like a fab idea @myladyjane I'll join in with making sure I either walk for at least 20 minutes or go to the gym and follow my strength program every day. Fingers crossed it will 'click' something in my brain into place and I'll be able to keep it up afterwards!

great idea! Hm, I can exercise 6 days per week maybe? I do weights so need a rest day and not a yoga person really.
Did a bodypump class this morning so that's today ticked off.

Should commit to posting more stuff in Vinted but not sure I have bandwith for that..

Bandwidth is the thing isn't it. I have all these lovely plans but a busy job, teens, husband elderly parent etc. The mj is taking care of the food which is great. So step 2 is movement. If I get it as part of my day without though, that would be amazing. I did it with skincare!

I still haven’t told a soul that I’m on WLI and neither will I be engaging with negativity from the ill-informed keyboard warriors. Part of the journey to long term sustainability might be about prioritising ourselves and not letting what others think or assert affect our actions. I have seen very little on this thread that suggests that people have gone in to this journey without careful consideration and without having tried more traditional options to get to healthier weights. We all have our own histories, challenges and stories and you know what is best for you.

I’ve upped to 5mg this week and back feeling some more significant suppression this week as well as heading in to period week so I’m hoping for a whoosh soon.

SW: 160lbs
CW: 148.8lbs (I actually can hardly believe that number)
GW: 130lbs (initially, I’m a shorty)

NSVs: definitely feeling more comfortable in my clothes, managed to get a favourite ring on again, had a work colleague mention weight loss (although I don’t like people commenting on my appearance so I’d not really felt that as a victory!). My pants in particular are very baggy and falling down - I need to go shopping!

I’m back at the gym after restarting some strength training on top of my usual cardio-focused activities. I’m definitely struggling with overall energy levels and recovery after exercise but at this rate I’ll be nearing my goal in the summer so it seems like a short term sacrifice.

@myladyjane I’m in for an exercise focused Lent challenge. I think I’ll go for a minimum of one structure physical activity a day (not just walking). Most of my days have something of this sort in anyway - cycling, running, strength training but fitting in some yoga or strength top up on other days would do me good and try and combat the low energy side effect of low calories.

An amusing NSV last night/this morning. I was very tired when I went to bed, and my shorts were far more difficult to get off over my hips. I went to bed feeling pretty low, and thinking I'd somehow got really fat again.
I picked them up this morning to put them in the wash, and I hadn't bloody undone them 😂
So I definitely didn't get suddenly fat, and probably need some new shorts!

Today's exercise done - half an hour of full body dumbbell. Just half, but squeezed it in before work. Like for many others here, work, kids, household, pets tend to get prioritised..

i have just started exercising again this week but am very prone to injury (menopause + hypermobile not a good combo) so have to start really gently and carefully. So my Lent challenge could be 3 times a week -intention is to do aquarobics, Pilates and 1 (home) strength session a week.

mid-week weigh this morning and I've not only got through the 1st stone milestone, I've also edged into overweight from obese!! Still no difference in clothes size for me, probably another stone to go for that. My DM can't fathom this (she also recently lost lots of weight) but she's very short and I'm very tall. It makes an enormous difference! I'm going to a big family party in April and we've been discussing whether I'll need to buy a new dress or not 😁

I'm the opposite to most of you it seems when it comes to telling people. My boss told me about it as she was on month 3 of MJ , and once I started it I told friends family and colleagues and literally every female I've told (I've told males too!) has said either they're already on it or going to start! 3 other colleagues, 2 mates, my hairdresser and 2 mums at school! My outlook is one of education, if there's something out there that's helpful I'm gonna share it!

Not a single judgement from anyone yet even told my dad bless him but I'm close enough to him that I do tell him everything. I'm also a terrible liar so if put on the spot I really couldn't lie about it I'd start mumbling and talking nonsense lol! My hairdresser was so glad I told her as she'd just started it and wasn't telling a soul so she was really glad of someone to talk to about it! Try sharing, you might be surprised or even help someone! 🥰

I've told a number of friends, but they are my actual friends. The colleague who asked would be the judgy type, not a supportive one. She's also very slim herself, so one of those 'it's not fair that other people get to be slim too!'

Week 9 complete and zero loss this week, very depressing! I feel this is the point I'd consider giving up, I'm not good at carrying on when I don't see results. I guess we'll see what this week brings!

I’m not going to lie about using MJ if asked but nobody’s noticed yet ☹️. I’ve told the people closest to me and I would have told my mum if she was still around (although she would have worried). It will get full credit when I reach goal though!

I can feel suppression wearing off a bit and I did have a minor indiscretion with a box of Betty’s florentines yesterday when one just wasn’t enough. I didn’t eat the whole box or even close to it but I was really cross with myself until I realised that it’s exactly what naturally slim people do. They just balance it out elsewhere. So that’s what I did although my carb allowance for the day was blown.
