Morning,

I took my first dose of 5mg last night. Woke up a couple of times with stomach ache but otherwise ok. Weighed this morning and it’s just 0.4lb off this week. I’ve definitely struggled this week, so it was the right time to move up I think. I also had my second period in 2 weeks, thanks menopause!

My go to breakfast which I usually really enjoy is not happening this morning, the thought of it makes me feel sick! So weird. I usually have turkey rashers and scrambled eggs on a bagel thin. But not today, couldn’t face it. Currently working my way through a protein yoghurt and then I’m going to have a coffee and a Naked protein bar. Need something as I’m having a PT session this morning.

All my clothes are skimming and loose so they are just getting looser. 😆 Anything fitted or tight with a waistband or that required a zip went into storage long ago and I moved into my ‘I’m past caring what I look like but at least I’m comfortable’ phase.

I’ve taken a few tops out of my wardrobe to alter but my flowy ‘festival’ trousers will work from size 8 to 16 so no need to alter them.

I’m planning on continuing to wear my current clothes for as long as possible and then emerge like a butterfly from a chrysalis with my new slim figure. Well I can dream

Same @Jins I’m wearing my current wardrobe for as long as possible. A lot of my dresses/trousers were just really tight and now fit properly. There are a couple of pairs of jeans that are now too baggy for work but fine for the weekend.
I did wear a very fitted denim jumpsuit to work the other day that I hadn’t worn for ages, but felt really exposed. So despite having lost over half the weight I need to, I’m still really self conscious.

W7 D2 5mg total loss: 4lbs.

Last week I was excited with my first decent loss of 1lb. Yesterday the scales showed it as back and this morning another 1lb on. I’m eating sensibly and very frugally.

This is my last post. I’ll keep reading/lurking, but we all need to feel that this is the answer to many years of struggling. And that makes me as welcome as someone ordering a rare steak at a vegan convention.

Hope you all continue to succeed.

Jins · 04/03/2025 09:10

Don’t lurk @0ncemorewithfee1ing. You’re one of the gang!

Did you decide to increase your dose?

cloudjumper · 04/03/2025 09:19

I also love the feeling about all my clothes getting looser! Still haven't dared to try on my old size 14 jeans, but soon! Somehow I don't think I've lost much this week (but not weighing until Wednesday), but there are lots of NSVs, so I'm OK with that.

@HeavyHeidi I also desperately need new bras - although that's not related to MJ, mine are all ancient 😆

@Jins I'm also waiting with buying new clothes, there are actually quite a few of my old ones I do want to wear again first...

2025istheyeari · 04/03/2025 09:29

Oh I’m sorry @0ncemorewithfee1ing , did you decide to increase your dose? I’ve read of lots of people not seeing results until they’re on a higher dose. I get how frustrating it must be though. As Jin said, please stay!

Beanie567 · 04/03/2025 09:30

@0ncemorewithfee1ing you absolutely belong here - I love this thread because there is such a huge range of experiences. I wasn’t sure about posting because I’m on such small doses (just tried 2.5mg this week and am feeling really ill on it - back down again next Monday) but no one has made me feel unwelcome or like my journey isn’t as valid as someone else’s.

i did a huge amount of research before I started the MJ and I knew I would be a person who responded to small doses. But did you know a similar number don’t respond until they get to the 7.5 or 10mg dose? It’s a similar number for the lower end of the bell curve (so people like me) and at the higher end of the bell curve (people like you).

I love the support on this thread and the variation in how people are finding it. Your experience is as valid as mine and it adds to the mosaic of experiences documented on this thread! I hope you keep on posting, we’re all in the same boat x

DGonMJ · 04/03/2025 09:31

@0ncemorewithfee1ing you are MORE than welcome, but understand if you’re feeling like you need a break from participating for a bit.
Please do come back and post if you need support, that’s exactly what this thread is for. We’ll hold your hand.

@0ncemorewithfee1ing - I am at the same stage as you with the same weight loss and I am feeling very positive, as should you. It's four pounds which is eight packs of butter gone! It's inspiring for me to read of someone going at the same pace as me. We'll get there in the end. Well done!

MananaMananaPenelope · 04/03/2025 10:03

@0ncemorewithfee1ing , I’m really sorry you are feeling low about it all. Please don’t give up hope 💐, there’s a woman on the Ouskh facebook group who didn’t start to lose until 10mg, she has now lost 6 stone in 12 months.

I think it is really natural to feel disheartened when you’re losing slowly, but you’re amongst friends here and we can listen and cheer you on whenever you need it.

Jins · 04/03/2025 10:05

It’s also possible that one of the other WLIs may suit you better. It’s definitely worth having a chat with your prescriber

HeavyHeidi · 04/03/2025 10:08

@DGonMJ same with clothes, I won't need to buy anything any time soon, have been squeezing myself into clothes that were clearly too small for a while now. And have a box of too small clothes waiting as well. I did throw away my too small bras though, as they were worn out. so some shopping needs to be done.

Jins · 04/03/2025 10:20

I make 90% of my own clothes - including swimwear and underwear! So I’m currently making a lounge bra which should see me through the next few pens

BlueLimes · 04/03/2025 10:27

@0ncemorewithfee1ing I hope you stay. I have zero suppression on 5mg, I tweaked my dose to 6 and it’s better. Could you increase dose?

HeavyHeidi · 04/03/2025 10:43

Getting the first comments in the lines of: But you're not planning to lose any more, are you? You'll be too skinny!
I have a loooong way to go before anybody will legitimately call me slim, never mind skinny.

discoballv · 04/03/2025 11:31

Jins · 04/03/2025 10:20

That is so impressive!!

BlueLimes · 04/03/2025 11:57

After a few slow weeks, some progress 😊
W1 -6 (2.5mg).
W2 -2.5 (2.5mg).
W3 -1 (2.5mg).
W4 -1 (2.5mg).
W5 -1.5mg (4mg)
W6 0 (5mg).
W7 -2.5 5mg)

SW 12.1 and a half
CW 11.1
GW 9.5

Hoping to be in the 10s next week.

I had 6mg on Sunday due to little suppression and it’s definitely better, my weigh in is Tuesday but I think I’ll try and move them to same day. Planning 7.5mg for next dose.

Bras loose, face thinner, tummy still gross, but think may just have to accept - I’ve had tummy fat since I was about 10…

Have a great day everyone.

LillethCrane · 04/03/2025 12:29

So according to the scales I have put on 2.5lb since Saturday 😫is that even possible?!

I’m so undecided with taking the bonus dose next week- financially it’s a yes, but I also think I need to move up to 7.5mg.

Can anyone give a personal recommendation for a needle to use for the bonus dose? One with a very fine tip?

BlueLimes · 04/03/2025 12:33

@LillethCrane take the bonus and top up from new pen. You’d still be within the 30 days.

Thelittlestranger · 04/03/2025 13:22

@0ncemorewithfee1ing you and your experience are welcome here ☺️

On second week of 4.6mg (unless I mucked up my doses!!) and I am feeling not hungry at all! Just ate dinner last night and having had a banana after the gym this morning, lunch is not appealing. First time I've felt like this for a while...

My husband said he was sad my boobs were getting smaller last night - I said having a smaller waist made up for it. He didn't agree 😂

GrumpyMuleFan · 04/03/2025 13:30

@0ncemorewithfee1ing Sending a hug. You are so welcome here and personally, I love the diversity of experience and approach. No one wants an echo chamber and I really like that we can all do this in a way that is happening to us personally, and suits us personally. No one has to hear relentless upbeat or worry that they are being a downer. Please stay and please keep being yourself. 💐

myladyjane · 04/03/2025 13:48

@0ncemorewithfee1ing you have my sympathies so much. This isn't a magic wand and it's so difficult when it isn't working.

Please do what you need to do. This is such a lovely group of people but sometimes we all need a breather.

timeformetolose · 04/03/2025 14:56

BreezyPeer · 04/03/2025 07:33

Really interesting to hear everyone's experience with sweet food and treat food. I haven't had any sweets or chocolate ( usually my evening downfall) or crisps or cake or biscuits since starting. It's a difficult one because I don't want to never eat those foods again, I enjoy them! But, I also don't want to open the floodgates.
On a but of a plateau this week, hoping for a whoosh by Thursday weigh day, xx

Im still having some crisps, I used to daily reduced to 1-2 a week as do not want as often and once in a while something sweet. It hasn't opened the floodgates and also I think its a balanced way to be as when I stop I will still want those things at times

MJalltheway · 04/03/2025 15:31

@0ncemorewithfee1ing please don't feel unwelcome, everyone's experience is equally valid. Like many others have said, 19 or even 12.5mg are where people find the most losses, so there's still a way for you to go yet if you decide to continue.

@LillethCrane for my bonus dose from 2.5, I just extracted 0.6ml to give a 2.5mg dose then took a half dose out of my 5mg pen to make a 5mg dose. If you are doing that to make up 7.5 you'd need 0.6ml from the 5mg pen then 20 clicks of the 7.5mg pen.

MJalltheway · 04/03/2025 15:35

I meant to add, if anyone is using Voy, they have coaching included in the price and you can book coaching calls (video or phone) with a coach you select who also checks in with you regularly during the week. I've found it really helpful to think about what habits to set and ingrain for the future. If anyone is struggling in any way, see if you can contact your prescriber and see what support they offer.
