Should've been clearer : 11 weeks to lose the fourth stone, not to lose four stone!
Huge nsv that I didn't mention : all my life I've had a big arse. No matter how slender, I've always had a bloody curvy arse. Trousers always had gaping waists, that I either had to pay to have made smaller or suffer the draft. But mj has done it's stuff and I've lost a lot of arse and I now have what I consider a normal, proportionate arse! It's actually quite exciting. I'm currently back in the only expensive pair of jeans I've ever owned and to me it's quite obvious that my giant arse is no more. I want to tuck in my t shirt now, rather than having it untucked to hide the big curve/gap, and show it all off!!
I was quite chuffed with making my broderie anglaise skirt smaller, it's only a white one Sainsbury's from last summer but so many people commented on how nice it was that I really wanted to keep it. I took it in the best part of 4" by cutting into the waistband at the back and doubling over both ends of the elastic. The flat front waistband I inserted some wide elastic and gathered it up a bit but, and this bit I think it's bloody genius (tho I say so myself!), I sewed one end in place but I left the other end out, on the inside of course, and sewed in a button on the inside of the waistband, made a hole in the elastic to button to button it in place! If I need to make it smaller I can just unbutton it, pull the elastic out of the waistband a bit, gathering the front a little more, nip a new hole in the elastic and button it in place!! Like blokes get in their suit trousers for adjustment! It all sounds a bit weird but it was gathered skirt, now it's a more gathered skirt!
Oh no, I really don't want to go to a gym. I might have to. I'm also trying to do dips and wall presses, both of which are moving my own body weight with my arms. Maybe I need some weights
@Fizzleawayyy1 my lunch salads are a base mix of romaine, rocket, spring onion, sugar snap peas, defrosted edamame beans, sprouting shoots and lentils, cucumber - all chopped quite fine. Then, maybe, beetroot, tomato, often a little pot of smashed avocado, seeds, pepper, herbs, occasionally black olives. Chicken, ham, tuna, cheese - a protein. Plus an egg. Any choices of coleslaw, labneh, hummus, tatziki, a bit of pesto. Maybe that all lot explains why the last stone has taken eleven weeks to lose! Ps I like your marbled plate!
