👋 shiny new thread!

Hello hello 👋

surreygirl1987 · 20/02/2025 00:03

NSV.... just managed to get my wedding and engagement rings off for the first time in years!! I mean, I'm happily married so they went straight back on. 😅 But knowing they can now come off is wonderful. I genuinely thought I was going to have to get them cut off at one point - they were so painful on my finger!! 3 stone down... what a difference! ❤️ So happy.

Losingthetimber · 20/02/2025 07:16

Morning all, checking in, thanks for the thread @HansHolbein , can’t believe it’s our 7th!

@surreygirl1987 , I hear you on the rings, I have mine off, only put the engagement ring back on,as my wedding ring and eternity ring feels tight still, but delighted I got them off, I was also worried about mine as they were so tight.

Carridoesntlivehereanymore · 20/02/2025 07:41

I'm away atm so I missed my weigh in on Monday. Probably going home today so tomorrow will be the moment of truth. I'm flirting with the 3 stone loss mark, I'd love it to be this week but being away and eating out probably isn't going to have helped. I have tried hard not to overeat and to go for protein/veg choices. I've just had a few tastes of the puddings and a bit of the cheeses, probably too much wine but not enough water. On the positive side, I haven't picked at all.

Glad to be on the new thread. I don't post a lot but I catch up regularly. The positive stories really help and, little by little, they are becoming my stories, too! I'm hoping to be able to finally get my eternity ring off fairly soon.

Hi new thread 👋

Wow everyone- such amazing losses - people heading for 3 stone and many of you already there! My rings are now spinning round my fingers! I’ve had them resized twice as I’ve put weight on! I freak out when my rings are too tight - Now they are massive!! Thankfully, I do have chunky knuckles so they’re not slipping off but I wouldn’t want to swim with them on!!

My eternity ring is now too big, Iv had to remove it. My wedding and engagement rings fit well at the moment. When I first started I thought they were tight and made my fingers look really chubby as there was fat above them but not anymore.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 20/02/2025 09:29

@HansHolbein Thanks for the thread.

You are right, Its so annoying seeing weight go back on when you know you don't deserve it and when you have been so good. Its disheartening. Weighed again today and 2oz of the 2lbs has come off!! WTF! Looks like this saturday it will be a STS at best if it shifts before then and then next week im away so probably another STS. 😡
I'm already so annoyed with myself for getting this big. I still want to shift 3 ish stone.
My social summer calendar is filling up fast too and once I hit June/July I already have plans for nearly every weekend and most involve food!. Id like to be at goal by then so I can enjoy it all a bit more but at this rate Il still have weight to lose.

Good morning all, checking in. Thanks for the new thread @HansHolbein

Caffeineneedednow · 20/02/2025 13:17

Hi all , thanks for the new thread.
I moves up to 7.5 last week and thought I was doing OK but my good had horrendous diahorea and nausea last night.

To be fair I think it was self inflicted. As I was painting all day my mum made dinner and she is far more generous with butter then me. On top of this I ate late and then basically went straight to bed which gives me issues even pre MJ.

I am feeling better now but debating what to do for Sundays shot. The suppression was waining on 5 mg. I think I'll see if symptoms stay calm for the rest of the week I'll take another 7.5 and just be far more catious with my food 🙄

Losingthetimber · 20/02/2025 14:17

Major news! My doctors just called. I’ve to come off my blood pressure meds totally! I submitted the readings today and the doc reviewed and said to call me, as it’s too low, I need to stop.

so I’ve went from 75mg of losartum and 10mg of amlodipene, 5 months ago, down to this morning just 5mg of amlodipene, as they’ve been cutting it down slowly. And now I stop that one too.

I’m away with work all next week so won’t be monitoring my bp. But will do so till I go., I fly Monday, return Friday, but will monitor until then, and then they will see me on the Monday after I get back.

to be honest, I had come to that conclusion a couple of hours ago myself, I’m feeling a little dizzy, faint, whoozy etc, and I know it’s not the drug or low blood sugar as gluscose tabs aren’t fixing it, and I know that at 110/60 on average it’s too low. Plus it will drop more at night when I sleep. That’s why I was doing readings and submitted. I just didn’t wish to take the decision myself, I also didn’t ask to come off, I just submitted the readings for review.

but I’m so delighted I can come off. Hopefully it’s ok. 🤞

HansHolbein · 20/02/2025 15:11

@Losingthetimber omg that is amazing! So happy for you! This drug really is incredible. I can’t wait to find out all the benefits it will have for people. Really lovely news xx

@Caffeineneedednow You poor thing!

I'm struggling with motivation at the moment. I think my weight will actually go up this week as I will have eaten in restaurants twice and I had wine as well.

I really hate this time of year - it feels far too long since the warm dry weather and I'm running low on distractions. I'm craving nice foods again.

WafflingDreamer · 20/02/2025 15:44

@Losingthetimber that's amazing news well done!
In NSVs here I've taken my 3 kids away for the night and one of the lifts in the hotel is broken we managed to walk 3 flights and I was still able to talk!!

Losingthetimber · 20/02/2025 15:54

@HansHolbein @WafflingDreamer . Thank you! I’m surprisingly delighted. It feels really major to me somehow. 😍

@WafflingDreamer and that’s an achievement! My thighs still hurt with too many stairs. They seem to exercise different muscles ..well that’s my excuse anyway,,😛

Are you on the right dose if you’ve food noise again?

EVK · 20/02/2025 16:03

@Losingthetimber amazing news and a fantastic achievement in such a short space of time🙌🏻

I'm only one does into the latest 5mg pen, so I'll use that up. I'd been considering going up to 7.5mg, so maybe when I next order I should go up to that.

Losingthetimber · 20/02/2025 17:25

@EVK yes it’s unbelievable in 5 months, !

@WeeklyJab , I would if you’re getting food noise, and eating more, it would seem you’re in too low a dose. Have you stayed in 5 for a while?

ArtfullyCrumpled · 20/02/2025 17:52

Hello 👋🏻

femininomenon · 20/02/2025 19:20

@femininomenon , thank you! 😍

Mrsmajeeka · 20/02/2025 20:00

Good to hear how well everyone is still get along.

has anyone increased their dose by jabbing more than once in a week? I was really sick over Xmas when I increased not even the full 5mg, so had a couple of weeks off and started back on 2.5mg. Have had slow and steady loss for the last few weeks a couple of -1lb one week stayed the same but still 11lb off since Xmas and 39lb in total since the start of October. Was thinking of jabbing another 2.5mg on day 5 after the last jab rather than waiting the full week as the effects seem to wear off about day 5/6 before I decide whether to try the 5mg pen again. I really don’t want to end up being as ill as I did before.

Two months on 2.5mg, three on 5mg.
