Afternoon all

W26D1
SW 17'10
CW 14'12

Have been away for the weekend so didnt weigh and jab this morning as usual. I weighed this afternoon when I got home, and jabbed just now.

I am the same weight as last week, which bearing in mind we had a pub roast lunch yesterday, I had a bottle of red afterwards and various snacks over the weekend, I am happy with that.

I was going to weigh tomorrow morning, but I am out to the office very early, so didnt want to forget, so though "sod it" and did it tonight. I'm pretty pleased with that, altho the scales would probably have been kinder in the morning.

15mg is on order through medexpress, which should come this week, as there have been delays. Medicine marketplace, where I got my last 2 pens from, dont have the 15mg in stock and no sign when it will be in, so I used some credit I had and only paid £15 more than the MM place anyway.

I have the bonus dose of 12.5 for next week then move up. Still no significant side effects as yet, bar the occasional bout of nausea, and diarrhea if I go too mad on greasy food!

Good luck everyone!

Mysticmaiden · 21/04/2025 17:32

@EVK yes I'd prefer not to stay on a dose really, although its helping immensely, i definitely feel the lack of dopamine which worsened as I went up so i have no interest in doing anything or any get up and go and can't be bothered to leave the house etc. I'll probably try tapering down slowly and see how I get on. Well done for getting to maintenance!

Mysticmaiden · 21/04/2025 17:39

@HansHolbein huge congrats on getting to normal bmi 👏 what is your goal?

Missreginafalange · 22/04/2025 10:39

Morning All

Just trying to read back and catch up on everyone's progress, so many fab losses and lots of people so close to their goals! who would have thought we would all be doing this well and feeling so amazing when we started in October!!

I weighed in this morning and have lost 52 pounds now, from a starting weight of 16 stone, started mounjaro at 15 stone 6 though so that's where i am counting this from:

SW 15.6 (BMI 33.8)
CW 12.1
GW 11.0
Height 5'7 and BMI currently 26.5

Currently on 10mg and still getting suppression and not much food noise so have just ordered another 10mg pen.

Also have just joined the gym to lose that last stone and stop any sagging skin, have been moisturising my neck as well as dont want turkey neck!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 22/04/2025 10:41

@igivein - Enjoy Florida! is that disney/universal you are doing?

@recklessgran I hope you are feeling better soon!! sounds horrendous!

@EVK Will you take 2,5mg for a while when going back down?

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Its a shame MM havent got 15mg in at the moment, I had to get my last pen from somewhere else too.

I weighed on sat as normal and lost the whole 6lbs I gained while away. So onwards and downwards.

Is anyone else getting annoyed that everything we do (or at least my life) revolves around food!...

We are meeting friends on the weekend who we haven't seen in 6 months... for food! Italian on Friday night and then I'm meeting some of my girl friends on Saturday and you will never guess what we are going .... FOOD! Indian on sat night.

I feel like I cant get away with people wanting to meet up and eat😂

I try to say lets meet for drinks and that works for an bit and then we are back to going out for food.

I feel like everyone is food obsessed.

littleburn · 22/04/2025 14:31

Hi everyone. I’ve not posted in ages and just catching up on everyone’s amazing progress and updates. Honestly, you’re all such an inspiring bunch!

I’ve finally scraped into the upper end of a healthy BMI (24.5) after a few weeks of staying the same:

Height: 5’ 2”
SW: 12st 2lb
CW: 9st 8lb

My goal weight was originally 9st 7lb, but was hoping to get under that so I can sit in the 9st to 9st7 range for maintenance. However the scales are definitely slowing down and I think with big boobs and bum (although much smaller than they once were!), the upper end of healthy is the right fit for me. I’m also comfortably fitting into a 10 - and very occasionally an 8 in more generous cuts - and feel happy with what I see in the mirror for the first time in ages 😁

I’ve got one more 12.5 pen to get through and now looking at my maintenance options. I suspect I was becoming insulin resistant pre MJ and ideally would like to keep on a maintenance dose of some kind, but it would also be nice not to have to budget for a pen each month! I’m definitely going to commit to a proper weights programme at the gym (I’ve just been using hand weights at home so far), so I’m viewing that as phase 2 of my journey, coupled with titrating down, and seeing where that gets me in terms of food noise and maintaining.

EVK · 23/04/2025 06:27

@Mysticmaiden the dopamine drop doesn’t sound great - hopefully as you reduce the dose that will improve. @Fizzleawayyy1 yes - I’m going to use a 2.5mg for my next pen and then stop. So I guess I’ll be more or less MJ free by end of May/June. Feels less scary than it did and I’m now kind of looking forward to seeing how I am without the support of MJ. @littleburn fab results for you - sounds like you’re in a good place right now - size 10 - 8 is great for our height so 🙌

EVK · 23/04/2025 06:28

Wrinkly skin!!! Arms especially!! What to do !! Exercise ? Moisturiser?!!

TheChosenTwo · 23/04/2025 06:46

@EVK definitely exercise and moisturise!!
I’ve been pretty vigilant with exercise because I wanted to avoid wrinkly sagging skin, I’ve not gotten away with it totally but I’m pretty happy with where I’m at so far. It’s a fine balance between losing enough and losing too much.
Ive been less diligent with body moisturising mainly because I find it a faff post shower when I just want to get dressed 😂

lickycat · 23/04/2025 08:14

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 I'm having the same issue with trying to get a 15 pen from MM. I’m on email alert, but not getting any information as to when they might get stock. I’ve got a bit of time to wait as I’ve been taking the bonus dose throughout, so I’m a bit ahead of myself with pens, but I’ll start looking around at other sellers now. I hate the faff of re-registering and getting approval though.

@Missreginafalange what an incredible loss. I’m always so in awe of these incredible losses some posters have had and wonder how it must feel. My loss path has been slow from the start, but after 6 months that’s built up to 2 stone loss, and even at that rate I find it hard for my head to adjust. I’ve not bought any new clothes, have no idea where to start, and I’m finding new changes every day at 2 stone loss, so I can only imagine that people with double that loss are in an even more shell shocked place where their head can’t quite catch up with their body. The numbers on my scale seem to have lost all meaning, because it’s been so long since I was in this stone category, I don’t know what to do with it!

MJ is utterly incredible and has completely changed my life.

I ordered my 15 with medexpress who I ordered my first 2 pens with so had an account already. I ordered last week, had to send screenshots of my most recent previous order with MM and the 15 is being delivered today, so a week all in.

AnneinEdinburgh · 23/04/2025 13:47

I just ordered one from Pharmacy2U. Is it me or do the prices the pharmacies actually charge not match the ones on the monj price comparison site?

Monj shows the price after the relevant discount codes have been applied so once you use the code you should get the prices that are shown on monj.

I’ve actually ordered from pharmacy2u this morning after posting. Monj said they had stock in, and had a discount code of £60 off a first order, so my 15 pen went from £199 to £139, which is actually cheaper than med marketplace which I usually order from (but no stock there). The code is on the monj spreadsheet.

AnneinEdinburgh · 23/04/2025 14:52

I had ordered from.them previously so only got 20 quid off but at least they had stock

Wrinkly skin!!! Arms especially!! What to do !! Exercise ? Moisturiser?!!

I have so far been ok on this front, but then I am only at just under 3 stones down in total so far so not right up there with the huge losses..plenty of cm's less though...

I have tried to remember to body brush and moisturise most days. I also believe that hydration helps for this too...

Probably the slower/steadier losses have helped my body adjust....hopefully this continues!!

Yep, I’ve also got this email today 😬

Sounds like Medexpress are trying to cut out so many people using the codes and giving so much credit. I seen someone on another thread who said over 25 people had used her code so she had a ton of credit! Guess they want that to stop.

You got this, even when you stop in may/June!

So far no loose skin here... Just the normal stretch marks on my stomach from having my kids!

I used the £60 off for first time buyers and if you wait they then send you a £45 off code via email. I used that for a pen too as MM was OOS.

Edited

I have crepey arms etc but think it is because I am 58 so my skin is less elastic.
A price worth paying though to be the healthiest in a long time as blood pressure no longer high and no aching ankles.
Was talking to an 83 year old guy I often chat to on my dog walks and he was telling me his 19 stone daughter is on it, getting more and more mainstream, despite the click bait horror stories.
There was one the other day about celebrities who have developed Mounjaro feet, they all looked normal to me. Well as normal as skinny celebs feet would look.
Making my pens last at least 2 months with no loss in effectiveness, I don’t think I will ever be able to come off as think I would revert back despite best intentions.

I'm hoping that as I'm in my 30s I may get minimal loose skin. Its one of the reasons I really want to try to shift the weight now and not regain it again!

I know at least 10 people on it in real life. That consists of 5 other people at work, Family members and multiple friends. One of my male friends has dropped the weight super quickly!

I also make my pens last 2 months and I don't notice any difference from dose 1 to the last dose. Saves me money and works for me.

I plan to take it for at least a year once I hit goal to firmly set my body at that weight.
