@igivein Wow lovely whoosh!

@UtterlyQuackers I know what you mean. I know there is a difference but my mind is taking a while to catch up. I’ve gone from a size 20 to a 14 but I still feel like I’m taking up a lot of space?!

@Bluenose1966 Can’t believe you’re in maintenance! How lovely. Summer is going to be so wonderful for us all.

@femininomenon Oooo 14’s! Love a new stone bracket lol.

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 4lbs! Amazing! Is 10mg going ok? I’ve been doing my thigh for a while now and it’s been great. No side effects. I’d prefer to do my stomach as I get a bit of the ick feeling from the thigh lol.

@hopeishere A very satisfying NSV!

@Fizzleawayyy1 How is your son feeling? There’s a really nasty cold around at the moment.

Very interesting that you say you feel a bit off at the moment. I’ve had a bit of that this week. Bit food noisy… bit distracted. Aching to get to goal. Feeling like I’ll never get there. Lots of different thoughts and feelings. What is your suppression like?

@icantgetnosheep1 Oh what tremendous news! So happy for you.

@lickycat Makes some very good points. Your username always makes me laugh. I am imagine a huge group of cats ferociously licking each other and anything in sight!

I also keeping thinking, what’s the catch? Surely this won’t actually work? I’ve always been fat? I know I’m being paranoid but once this has been your life since forever, you can’t imagine it any other way? I can’t believe there is an out for us…

It's going ok so far, altho I havent felt suppression much today and gone a bit snacky! Will see how the week pans out.

femininomenon · 12/03/2025 18:26

@icantgetnosheep1 happy goal and happy birthday 🥳

ChaosDream · 12/03/2025 21:15

Hi all, great to see folk still getting on well - you're keeping me motivated. I feel a bit flat at the moment, feels like things are moving much more slowly which I know makes sense but is a bit frustrating too.

I recently moved up to 12.5 and experienced side effects for the first time - really awful watery diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Am wondering if I should persevere with the 12.5, go back to 10mg or go for something in between 🤷🏼‍♀️

On the up side - I can fit into my size 16s again! Have gone from. Sz20 in October so am delighted about that. Ran 5k on Sunday (even though it took me 50 mins 🤣) Also going on holiday next week and actually looking forward to wearing shorts!

Well done on the losses and GW achievements.

I've plateaued for a month at 11st13. I'm eating small meals but need to up the fruit and veg. I've had a few drunken nights out which definitely haven't helped.

I've decided on moving my jab day from Sunday to Thursday to help weekend cravings, I've extended the last 2 does by 2 days and today is my first Thurs dose and my first move up to 12.5mg.

LumionaMoonsplash · 13/03/2025 07:53

I'm also looking at new clothes for Summer in size 12/14 which is incredible given I was a size 20, 2yrs ago. I'm slowly clearing out my wardrobe, buying cheap replacements until I hit my GW.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 13/03/2025 08:55

I'm glad some people kinda get what I mean.. I think a part of it is when I started, I was thinking yes no problem, I will get this weight off by my holiday which is in april.... and the fact is I'm still at least 2 stone from where I want to be! so I feel deflated that actually Im not slim enough for my holiday and yet again its another holiday I have to go on and still feel fat and frumpy!

Suppression is fine @HansHolbein , I don't think iv ever struggled with the feeling of hunger, I rarely eat as I'm actually hungry, my struggle is food noise and I still think I have some of it on 10mg. I do think once I lose a few lbs and see things moving again I will be ok.

@letshavetea We got this! It may just take longer then we think.

@flowerlady2 Last week when I had my bad few days I caught myself mindlessly eating chocolate covered marshmallows while watching TV and was like WTF, stop.

You must be feeling amazing buying 12/14 now! such an achievment!

igivein · 13/03/2025 09:32

People have really started to notice now and are giving me compliments - which is nice, although it does tend to make me self-conscious.
When people have asked how I've done it I've been open about the MJ and haven't had any negative comments. Have had a couple of people ask about it in an 'How's it going, I'm thinking of trying it' sort of way.
I've also had one 'you're not going to lose any more are you? You don't want to go too far'. Which is laughable - I'm over 15 stone with a BMI just a smidge under 35, I'm not about to fade away any time soon! Why do people say this?
Anyway, off to meet up with 18 year old DS who's back-packing around Spain. Can't wait to see him. I'll be missing my Sunday weigh-in, but that's ok because there's no calories in Spanish food is there?

Maarva · 13/03/2025 12:08

Just checking in with my progress as I’ve now hit a 3 stone loss, bmi below 25 and I am now 10st. I cannot ever remember being this light!

This drug is a miracle for me. I know everyone talks about reduction in food noise but I’ve also had my “weight noise” go. I would be constantly thinking about being overweight, just seeing a slim person on TV, magazine or in person, would make me negatively compare myself to them in an endless cycle. It’s a big relief to be free of that.

sushinelove · 13/03/2025 12:33

@Fizzleawayyy1 thank you so much, that's really helpful. I've taken first dose of 7.5mg to see how I get on (not eaten since) and likely going to take 6mg after this!

icantgetnosheep1 · 13/03/2025 16:58

Interesting @igivein I had a similar comment today.. I've stuck to my guns on calorie counting and exercise which is technically true.

I see someone today who said erm .. are you ill. My response - do I look ill? No you look fantastic, my second response-yes I know I do. 😂 reactions vary but that was amusing today. Truth is I feel frigging fabulous and like my old self once again.

Well done on the 3stone loss!! @Maarva

Crazydogmumma · 14/03/2025 05:03

Is anyone else struggling to get rid of their larger clothes ‘in case they put the weight back on?’
I started at the beginning of October at 17 10 and am now 14 6- a slow and steady loss of between 1-2 lb a week.
I have gone from a very tight size 20/22 to a comfortable 18 (so not a huge change yet) but do have winter coats, dresses, trousers etc that are now too big.
I want to get rid of them and have 3/4 large bags ready for the charity shop but I can’t let them go- I keep thinking ‘what if I gain it all back- I will need these clothes’. It is really messing with my head. I haven’t needed to buy anything new as I have many clothes from my wardrobe which I am delighted to fit into.
How do other people manage to let go of their clothes they no longer fit?

LumionaMoonsplash · 14/03/2025 06:40

I got rid of my old clothes. Most of mine are really cheap and not worth anything on vinted etc. So majority off to the clothes bins. My coats were a bit more expensive so sold on Ebay and replaced with smaller sized coats from Ebay.

TheChosenTwo · 14/03/2025 06:55

@Crazydogmumma I’ve been getting rid of things as they’ve become unwearable.
I don’t like an overflowing wardrobe and it will
be a really clear sign if I start putting weight back on that something needs to be done if I start getting too big for my clothes. If my big clothes are all still there a bit like they’re waiting for me I might feel all too comfortable fitting back into them again.
I mean maybe it’s a huge mistake and I’ll need bigger clothes again one day, I can afford to replace them so it will be more of an annoying inconvenience if it happens.

lapuf · 14/03/2025 07:07

@Crazydogmummai only bought a 12 but was in denial about being a 14, I thought it was temporary and was too tight(!) to buy new clothes for the (quite long) weight blip so would wear leggings/riding tights/elastic waists. They all still fit me at a 10 but the ones without Lycra don’t, I’m saving all those for my best mate who started MJ a month or so ago and will be in a 12 by the summer

lapuf · 14/03/2025 07:16

I went up a tiny bit on Sunday with my jab as I had more than 5mg left in pen, so did 5.8 as the fifth dose. I’ve been whooshing ever since, which I don’t much like as I’ve been trying to lose slowly to retain muscle mass. I’m down almost 3lbs since Monday weigh in! I haven’t changed what I’m eating so assume it’s the insulin regulation increasing, it really is an impressive drug.

ChimneyRock · 14/03/2025 09:58

Re: clothes, in the past I have put bags of "fat" clothes up in the loft as a kind of back-up plan. However, when I've regained weight (after a Weight Watchers stint - see, it's not just WLI that can mean regain afterwards), I don't think I've ever used anything in them. After a year or two, I just get rid of them without even looking inside the bag.
Currently, I'm just buying cheaper stuff to tide me over whilst I deflate.

I had a plateau during Jan/Feb and considered going up to 10mg but then randomly dropped 3lbs just before ordering the next pen so I stuck with 7.5mg. Am kind of regretting that now and wishing I'd gone up to 10.

Caffeineneedednow · 14/03/2025 11:19

@crazydogmumma
I could have written this myself. I am getting rid of everything, what can be sold on vited is going there and the rest clothes bank or charity shop. I'm finding it quite lethargic and using it as a reminder that this isn't a fad and the new me will not need the 22 clothes any more.

Similarly to you I had an 18 wardrobe which now all fit but some are starting to get loose. So last week I splurged some of my vinted balance on some 16 stuff. I don't think I'm there yet but I'm hopeful I will be in the next few weeks.

Totally get this. Also not feeling the need to hide from mirrors. There's one in my bedroom that I used to hate but now I quite like having a full sized mirror

Fizzleawayyy1 · 14/03/2025 15:58

@Crazydogmumma personally I have put some of my bigger nicer stuff in the attic. If i ever get bigger again then I at least have some basics and don't have to start from scratch and I don't want to waste money buying the same old stuff again. If I havent touched it in a couple of years then I will just bin it.

But as I gained weight in the last couple of years most of my clothing is already a size 10-12 and the stuff in the attic is all 16's. Im currently a large 12 to 14. so not in my 'normal' stuff yet.

@Maarva Well done on 3 stone! amazing.

ChimneyRock · 15/03/2025 08:26

So much for me having supposedly lost 3lbs! The scales this morning tell
me I’m back up to where I was! Really cross/despondent now and wishing I’d gone up to 10mg on the one that’s just arrived. I am going to try the bonus dose on the precious pen today but wondering about doing some extra clicks for next week eg taking 10mg from a 7.5mg pen. Is that OK to do and what happens when I run out too early? Will my provider prescribe a new pen before 4 weeks is up?

Iv always ordered my next pen a bit early and never had any problem.
Can you take the 2.5mg from your previous bonus dose and a full one from your new pen to make 10?

If not id just take 10mg from your current pen (a full dose and a extra 20 clicks)

Fizzleawayyy1 · 15/03/2025 09:40

Weigh in today.

I lost 3lbs so that's the 1lb i gained last week and a extra 2lbs off.

Total shifted so far is 51lbs.
Another 42lbs to go until ultimate goal.
Another 28lbs to go until mostly happy.

NearlyNewHip · 15/03/2025 09:56

22nd weigh in today and I've lost 1 lb. 10mg seems to still be working for me so have just bought my third one.
37 lost and 52 to go, will get me to 10 stone, which at 5.7 is the middle of the healthy range (I'm 48 though so may stop sooner if my face starts to look too wrinkly)

ChimneyRock · 15/03/2025 10:37

How many clicks is 2.5mg?
I’ve just taken the bonus dose and it said just under 50 units on the syringe, whatever that means!
I have a feeling it’s only 2.5mg so think will need to top up from new pen but don’t know how much to do or how many clicks?
Also, do you have to do it straightaway? Or is it OK for a gap of an hour or so?
gaaah!
