@DeltaAlphaDelta79 interesting that you noted being bruised etc on your stomach, I’ve often wondered if I will bruise or anything but I haven’t at all. It takes an awful lot for me to bruise though so it’s not that surprising but now it’s got me wondering if lots of people are also getting them and I’m getting away with it unscathed!
Hope changing your jab site brings less crappy results for you 😌

Thank you. I do bruise a little easily, and its worse when I use the insulin syringe for the bonus dose, as its a little longer and thicker then the needles that come with the pen.

I had heard that jabbing in the thigh gives better results, so I thought I'd give me stomach a rest and try it.

Fizzleawayyy1 · 10/03/2025 11:19

official weigh in on sat was I gained 1lb.... not terrible.

My sons been poorly this week though so I haven't been watching what I'm eating closely like before as he's not eating at all so I'm making multiple meals a day and getting takeaways just to see if he will eat it, plus sweets and snacks to tempt him.

I weighed this morning and the 1lbs is gone again now since sat ......but it now means I haven't lost or gained any weight in about 3 weeks which is crap and I need to buck my ideas up!

SO DOWNWARDS WE MUST GO!

Fizzleawayyy1 · 10/03/2025 11:26

@ChimneyRock When I go away next month I will be gone for 10 nights and I will be injecting on the day I go and then on the day I get back as I cant be bothered to take it with me!
I move up when the dose starts to wane so I did 2 months at 5mg and 2 at 7.5mg and I'm only just gone up to 10mg.

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 Well done, 4lbs off is great. I need that to happen to me.

@femininomenon 14s!!! wohoooo. well done. I enjoy a nice walk, now the weather is getting better I need to start going out more too!

@Bluenose1966 I always inject straight in with the insulin needles too...

Hey all. I don't post a lot, but do read most of the activity, a lot of which has proved very helpful. However, I'm here to say I'm done, MJ is playing havoc with my guts, and it's just not worth it. I'll be forever thankful it helped me to lose the 2.5 stone, and move me into the 'overweight' rather than morbidly obese category, and help switch my mindset to a healthier outlook re food. I am now hoping I can carry on the good work on my own. A huge thanks to anyone who has given me advice, and to all of you for your support. I truly hope it works out for you all x

Sorry to hear its impacting you so much. It plays up with my stomach too but Im willing to put up with it for the weight loss. I hope you find something else that works for you. x

Wow 🤩🙌💃🏻🎊🥳congratulations- what an amazing birthday treat and achievement- how does it feel and what will you do now?!!!
im getting closer - I’m now 8.12 1/4 !! The closer I get the more I feel maybe I could go lower!!! It’s the fear of regain!!

EVK · 11/03/2025 07:07

@PolaDeVeboise please do keep in touch with us and let us know how you’re getting on. Good luck with the next phase of your weight loss - keep going and you’ll get where you want to be - it’s all about being consistent over time. 🩷

icantgetnosheep1 · 11/03/2025 07:19

@EVK I get that.. I'm going to go down to 8.7 and see how I feel. I have a call booked with Oushk next week about maintenance so will discuss what I do now with them. I want to maintain at 8.7-8.10 if I can. I'm also aware I need to build up my muscle mass so that will tip the scales a little 🙈

Yes, that’s exactly how I feel. I’m with Oushk too and I’m think I’ll order a 2.5mg for my last pen to ease myself down and then book a maintenance appointment like you have. Got a few more pounds to. I’m noticing the crepe skin and saggy bits now so defo need to get some weight bearing exercise into my routine and build more muscle too. We have to keep it going now, that’s the next challenge !!

WELL DONE!!

What are your plans going forward? will you stay on a low dose, come off it or something different?

Fizzleawayyy1 · 11/03/2025 09:23

Is anyone else struggling?

I don't know what it is but my head doesn't feel fully in it, I have a bit of food noise and I cant put my finger on it but I'm just not fully back 'on it'.

I am being 'good' and I lost the lb I put on but I just feel frozen in the same place and a bit unmotivated if I'm honest! I need to find my mojo again!

lapuf · 11/03/2025 10:43

I think it's unrealistic to stay 100% focused @Fizzleawayyy1, it will ebb and flow.
I have to come off MJ in four weeks before my surgery so I'm back in the zone to get as near to GW as I can by then. I'll have one more 5mg pen to use after that Smile

Fizzleawayyy1 · 11/03/2025 11:31

Yeh I think you are right, I think its because I haven't seen much movement on the scales recently and maybe if I had a drop I may be more motivated again.

I have a full pen and a mostly full pen in my fridge so plenty to see me through but I just feel very flat at the moment with dieting.

Will you need to stay off MJ for long after the surgery @lapuf ? Good luck also!

sushinelove · 11/03/2025 12:22

I'm not much of a poster, but looking for some advice from you all.

Started in October at 16st, one month at 2.5mg,moved up to 5mg and been on that since. I've lost 3 stone so currently 13st with another 2.5 to go to get to ideal weight - though I'd be happy with just another 2!

Last couple of weeks suppression has been poor so ordered the 7.5mg due for delivery today. Can someone help me with the click counter please? The first couple of 5mg pens gave me days and days attached to the toilet so I think I'd like to try maybe 6mg to start and see how I get on. If I do find that 6mg is ideal, can I keep using the pen for 6 weeks as opposed to 4 and the bonus that I've currently been doing? I know the formal advice is just 30 days but is anyone doing longer?

Thanks for all/any help. Mounjaro has been life changing for me

Well done on your weight loss!

6mg from a 7.5mg pen is 48 clicks 😊

Personally, I take a lower dose from a higher pen to get more weeks. I used my 10mg pen and took 7.5mg from it so it ended up lasting 6-7 weeks from memory. I never had any issues with it and I only went up to 10mg this week as I thought 7.5mg had stopped working for me. I'm currently taking 10mg from a 12.5mg pen so I will get another 6-7 weeks from it also (including the bonus dose).

But the above does against medical advise and how they tell you to take it.. not everyone agrees with the above approach but I'm not a stickler for rules personally so I'm ok with doing it that way.

Iv also found the first 2 weeks of a new dose gives me the 💩 sadly but for me its worth it to carry on with the medication!

hmm, I have to let it leave my system for two weeks, then assume I can start up again post surgery? I need to speak to the prescriber or read up about it (or could just take 2.5mg from the 5mg pen). I will be taking my last shot around 9/4 for surgery on the 23rd. Will see how I feel, not sure if I need general anaesthetic yet! It's a bit of an extreme way to gain my focus though, admittedly!

icantgetnosheep1 · 12/03/2025 09:22

Got back on the scales this morning as I was convinced yesterday's weigh in was wrong.. 😑 Nope! Still 8.9!!

I actually can't believe it, never did think starting these injections would be such a game changer.

such a game changer!
I'm just below 9st 7 now which was my original goal weight, I look so much better but still a bit more fat than I'd like on my tummy and upper thighs, so correct for me to aim for 9st I think.

letshavetea · 12/03/2025 10:29

@Fizzleawayyy1 just a quick note of solidarity. I’m terrible for sticking at a weight for a few weeks! I came away on holiday (where I am now) thinking that it’ll be tricky when I get back home and weigh again. I do know in my heart that we will get there though!

flowerlady2 · 12/03/2025 11:19

@UtterlyQuackers totally with you on the wrinkly neck, I plaster it in cream but not sure what to da about that! I
@Fizzleawayyy1 and @letshavetea yep, I feel you I am 1 lb off 3 stone since staring end Oct. and I’ve stuck to defective eating no probs seen through one plateau but for the first time this week I have scoffed 2 doughnuts 🤦‍♀️. I’m confused as it’s my 1st week on 10mg I don’t get it, I don’t notice a difference from8.5 which I stayed on for 10 weeks. Just keep swimming I guess 🤷‍♀️.

from my own experience, I think we have to trust this process. I still don’t quite believe it will work, despite all the evidence to the contrary, because I’ve spent so many years with things not working, or working for a bit then stopping working. I’m still struggling to trust. When I had my big stall in Jan (ish) my sabotaging inner voice was telling me I’d blown it, it’s over, it doesn’t work for me etc. But I’ve carried on following the guidance on dosage and it is working again now. I’m taking the bonus dose every month, but other than that I’m following guidelines by going up a dose every pen.

7.5 didn’t feel much different to 5. 10 felt like quite a jump at first, and then it settled and now I feel like it’s built up in my system and suppression is really high - I do think that it can take a few weeks for a new dose to ‘peak’. From reading on these threads, people react really differently to doses, and I think that everyone will find their magic dose. Although lots of us have found 10 to be the bollocks! Im still planning on moving up to 12.5 though!

HansHolbein · 12/03/2025 14:54

@igivein Wow lovely whoosh!

@UtterlyQuackers I know what you mean. I know there is a difference but my mind is taking a while to catch up. I’ve gone from a size 20 to a 14 but I still feel like I’m taking up a lot of space?!

@Bluenose1966 Can’t believe you’re in maintenance! How lovely. Summer is going to be so wonderful for us all.

@femininomenon Oooo 14’s! Love a new stone bracket lol.

@DeltaAlphaDelta79 4lbs! Amazing! Is 10mg going ok? I’ve been doing my thigh for a while now and it’s been great. No side effects. I’d prefer to do my stomach as I get a bit of the ick feeling from the thigh lol.

@hopeishere A very satisfying NSV!

@Fizzleawayyy1 How is your son feeling? There’s a really nasty cold around at the moment.

Very interesting that you say you feel a bit off at the moment. I’ve had a bit of that this week. Bit food noisy… bit distracted. Aching to get to goal. Feeling like I’ll never get there. Lots of different thoughts and feelings. What is your suppression like?

@icantgetnosheep1 Oh what tremendous news! So happy for you.

@lickycat Makes some very good points. Your username always makes me laugh. I am imagine a huge group of cats ferociously licking each other and anything in sight!

I also keeping thinking, what’s the catch? Surely this won’t actually work? I’ve always been fat? I know I’m being paranoid but once this has been your life since forever, you can’t imagine it any other way? I can’t believe there is an out for us…
