I feel so nauseous this morning. I am going to eat some toast and usually it does pass. I can also taste last nights dinner which is so weird. I wasn't aware of burping but maybe I have been??

This isnt fun. But I really do have a lot to lose and want to stick it out. From reading the side effects normally wear off although may increase going up to 5...

Oh no @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden
Sorry side effects worse!
What day post jab are you now?

I have woken with less nausea/bloating today (day 2) but a headache and still the dry mouth.

I was very considered with food choices yesterday and eat the most healthy the whole day I have in forever.

Most impressive though, I ate dinner at 5pm and didn't snack or eat anything else in the evening. This is u heard of for me.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 21/01/2025 07:26

W2d4. I've eaten some toast and do feel less queezy. I need to be up and doing so will go. I think its better when I'm distracted. My injection site is itchy today too. I do feel a bit sorry for myself!

Eating wise though the whole thing is working. I'm able to choose what I want to eat and eat at mealtimes rather than Constantine craving/wanting and my decision to go upf free hasn't been tricky as theres no craving.

It will be worth it.

It all will be all worth it @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden

Completely understand feeling sorry for yourself. You are right though, maybe distraction and getting on with it is best approach.

Good luck today!

Thanks for starting a new thread @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden
Sorry to hear you're suffering with side effects this week.
My pen arrived yesterday but still debating when to start. I'm thinking Friday so any side effects are most likely to be over the weekend but I'm feeling impatient and want to start asap!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 21/01/2025 06:37

Yay for first jab!

I think you might need to contact them about that.

Part of the contract to get the £99 offer is the weekly check in on the day of the jab so they have evidence of weight. It really only takes a minute or two. I can't remember off hand but I think in the T and C its something like attending af least 3 out of every 4 check ins.

Whoops - I hadn't clocked this. Thanks - I will call them!

Newshoesnewname · 21/01/2025 07:53

Hope your side effects settle down soon.

Can I ask, how many of you put your tests in the postbox Vs handing in at a counter?

Royal mail say they are delivering today. (I won't hold my breath, but that's another story). If they do I will test in the morning, but it will be tricky to get to a post office counter. I do pass a normal postbox and a parcel postbox though.

Do you think it will be ok in there?

Shmallow · 21/01/2025 08:15

I'm already 10lbs down 😱 I know this is all water weight, and I did lose 10lbs first week of SW years ago, but this time it's just so.... easy?!

I put mine through a post box Thursday morning, had my blood test results Monday and accepted Tuesday morning. It will be fine in a post box, just make sure the collection time hasn’t passed :)

badgersnakemushroom · 21/01/2025 08:27

In terms of supplements is it essential to take them? I already take a probiotic daily but have tried biotin and collegen and it upsets my stomach, which I really don't want while jabbing. Also can't have any vitamins with iron.

Hi! I took my test yesterday at about 9 (after a clunky call thanks to my rubbish WiFi) and a bit of uncertainty over whether the Tasso machine was collecting blood or not (think I should have gotten over my awkwardness of being on the call and just done it with their supervision and advice) ANYWAY - I then whizzed down the road to our local post box and popped it in. Got notified today via Royal Mail that it was delivered back to SheMed at half 8 this morning!

Really recommend keeping a note of your tracking number and using the Royal Mail app to keep an eye on it.

Just praying now that the blood tests come back okay so I can be approved.

Has anyone on here got to the point of needing their sharps bin taken away? Is it quite a straightforward process?

CleverKhakiBear · 21/01/2025 09:52

@AuntieOnSheMed morning! Sharp bins can be droppped off at your local pharmacy but double check before doing so. When I was on blood thinners after have my boys my husband would take it to our local pharmacy xx

AuntieOnSheMed · 21/01/2025 09:54

Oh thank you @CleverKhakiBear! I’ve not told any of my family yet that I’m doing this so want to be able to dispose of my sharps bin as easily and subtly as possible!

TLMoo · 21/01/2025 09:55

@Shmallow that's amazing 🤩 I had a cheeky weigh this morning and I'm 7lb down! Official check in is tomorrow but I couldn't resist! And yesterday at work i realised at about half 2 I hadn't had my lunch 😂 it's normally gone before midday! So easy! I am trying to stay on track of what I'm eating though to make sure I'm getting enough protein!

Popped mine in the postbox with a last collection date of 5.30pm on Tuesday morning last week, it was delivered by Wednesday night. Blood results came back yesterday.

Just make sure you haven't missed the last collection time for that day, they say you can keep it in the fridge overnight if you have and post it first thing and it'll be ok. All my local last collection times are for 9am! Which is very inconvenient for school runs and getting to work, so I found one the next town over with a later collection time. Pain in the bum.

BruhWhy · 21/01/2025 10:25

I've just had the approval email and the money taken.

Here we go 😨

CleverKhakiBear · 21/01/2025 10:50

I wanted to ask how are people doing their weigh ins because I find when I weigh myself before going into a shower I get an accurate weight as opposed to weighing myself fully clothed. I know clothes don't weigh that much however I feel like my weight is higher when I am clothed as opposed to not being clothed x

themumformerlyknownas · 21/01/2025 11:12

My test has been shipped so hopefully won't be far behind the rest of you! 🙌

Earthgirl3971 · 21/01/2025 11:12

I'm in! 😊

How you doing pen buddy? Have you had your prescription issued yet?

X

JBJ · 21/01/2025 11:15

Just got my test results back - cholesterol and blood sugar high, which is bizarre as I had them done 2 weeks ago via my GP and they were both perfect, as they've always been!

TLMoo · 21/01/2025 11:18

@CleverKhakiBear if you do it at the same time each week with the same clothes you will see the losses, I had a pair of leggings and a vest top on at the initial weigh in and I'll do the same tomorrow, not sure if I can do the check in first thing then have my jab when I'm home from work though?? Don't fancy doing it then going straight to work especially as we up doses! But would rather do the check in first thing to get it done!

That's a really good idea. I think I'll try that on this week's weigh. I think you can take your jab later after you come back from work as when you tell them that you're gonna jab off camera they don't ask you to log like what time you've taken your jab because they log it as it's already been taken don't they, so I think you should be fine in that aspect x

Earthgirl3971 · 21/01/2025 11:23

Same! 😁 And congrats.. happy?

I also had a mini panic like you buy just told my partner the happy news and he's pleased for me as he knows that even if I lose 2 Stones I'll be happier as I'm miserable living in stretchy trousers for my life.

X

BruhWhy · 20/01/2025 19:10

I think I'm the same as you two. Bloods back today?

When are you planning to jab? I was thinking Friday evenings to mitigate any... bathroom related side effects so I don't miss any time off work/uni.

So hopefully it gets prescribed and sent out before the end of the week!

Yes! Just figured out to actually respond to a message properly, I was all over the place before now!

I'm pleased you're in. Does yours arrive tomorrow aswell. ? X
