Hello everyone, another newbie here if that’s ok. I just took my first 2.5 and feeling very excited and very apprehensive!

Just wondering what food tracking apps people are using. I have MyFitnessPal, but I have seen others tracking protein intake which I don’t think I can do there. Just want to make sure I’m eating the right things.

Cant believe some of the stories here already after one week - so happy for everyone one! And thanks for the tip about measuring yourself, I’ve just (depressingly) done that, so ready to go!

AmythestBangle · 10/01/2025 08:16

I ue nutracheck, which is really good

Seaitoverthere · 10/01/2025 08:17

@EverybodySayCheeze I hope it goes well 😊 I have been using Nutracheck for years and find it very good and was maintaining a big loss on it before medication upset things. Just been sent the renewal and it is £24 a year.

It takes a bit of time to get in the swing of things but then it is really simple as you can enter your regular meals so it makes it easier going forwards.

AmythestBangle · 10/01/2025 08:17

I took first 2.5 last night. I didn't sleep very well but I don't think that can be related.

Cuppaandcakes20 · 10/01/2025 08:17

Taking my 3rd jab today. Another loss this week, which I'm very happy with. I haven't felt hungry this week and have been able to eat and stop easily. Normally, when I count calories I am constantly thinking about the next meal/giant bag of crisps I can't eat but it's been a joy not having those thoughts.

AmythestBangle · 10/01/2025 08:19

In nutracheck you can log measurements as well as weight (I got an electronic tape measure after a suggestion on here).

unicornsaremagical · 10/01/2025 08:24

i ordered through medexpress on the 6th, still no dispatch has anyone else had this issue?

FattyBumBumNoMore · 10/01/2025 08:30

I’ve started! Did my first dose last night at 6.30pm. This morning, I’ve woken up feeling like I had a huge blow out meal last night (I had salad and a bread roll). I’m guessing this feeling of fullness is it then?

SW: 17st 13.2 today
GW: 10st

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 10/01/2025 08:34

Yay for new thread.

I am starting today !!! It feels its been a long time waiting. I am doing it at lunchtime and my husband is popping home from work for the first one !

I am meaning to do some photos and measurements too. I will hate this but the only way is down right :)

I find Nutracheck the easiest to use

I’m exactly the same about weighing, measurements and 😱 photos but decided to just dive in in the end… how will you know just how well you’re doing without it all?!! 😊😊

unicornsaremagical · 10/01/2025 09:04

just wondering how much exercise everyone is doing to get there results?

Borntofollow · 10/01/2025 09:33

Week 2, Day 6 here.

Total loss of 4.5lbs - this was all the first week, then this week I gained 5lb overnight (pre-period water weight) and this has just dropped off again this morning. Hoping for another drop tomorrow, but appreciate 4.5lbs in two weeks is still a steady loss.

The difference I've found with MJ is that I didn't melt down when I had the gain and eat everything in sight. I've been able to easily accept that my calorie intake should show a loss and it's just my body working things out at the moment and this is a completely different attitude to previous attempts at weight loss.

Jjsmum2007 · 09/01/2025 20:58

Just stabbed the flab 🤣 for the first time. Funny how as soon as you've done it, you wait for something and, nothing happens haha! Will see what tonight brings though, hoping for minimal side effects ☝️

I’m rather disappointed that I woke up this morning and have not lost 30 kg 😄

Usernamesarenoteasy · 10/01/2025 09:45

@EverybodySayCheeze on myfitnesspal if you click on the diary, then click on what look like a pie chart at the top right hand side you can see your macros in there.
If you don't alrteady know, you can also log measurements as well as weight in the progress section. It defaults to weight, but if you click on the word weight in blue you can select other things.

EverybodySayCheeze · 10/01/2025 09:49

@Usernamesarenoteasy i didn’t know this so this is very helpful - thank you.

@Josephi same here. I jabbed a few hours ago and I’m sat here so impatiently! This is why I’m so bad at dieting as I eat one lettuce leaf or do one hiit class and when I’m not instantly three dress sizes smaller I get annoyed.

I’m going to try and do some sort of exercise every day. Have kept that up this week, alternating some yoga with a couple of online hiit sessions. But my 10 month old had other ideas today and only had a 20 minute nap so there goes my exercise window.

Ahbist0 · 10/01/2025 10:13

I took my first jab last Sunday evening and only having slightly reduced suppression maybe because my body has a bit of tolerance from previously taking a glp1. The next day I’d put on a pound, interestingly this always happened when I took Wegovy last year. I’ve had enough effect to be able to stick to an 8 hour eating window and no snacks so hoping for some sort of loss at my first weigh in. Good luck to all.

Therealmetherealme · 10/01/2025 10:49

Checking in,
Week 2 day 3. Oddly no appetite suppression or side effects this week so far. Willpower it is.

Just trying to plan some healthy lunches. My go to was Peanut butter on toast with banana, but just worked out that's well over 500 calories.

tinyemmy · 10/01/2025 10:57

I jabbed on Wednesday at midday, I didn't really notice anything except for perhaps a headache.
Day 2 (does this count as day 2), I definitely got hungry but was able to push out longer than pre-jab, but I ate the same amount of food.
Day 3, today I feel like I can eat food, not sure I have any suppression
I also haven't slept well for two days, not sure if it's related, it could just be my brain running overtime, first night with fear of side effects, and last night work related issues.
Shotsy says my level is 1.99 so perhaps I need to wait a bit longer for some suppression.
I would say the placebo effect is working a bit though, I desperately want to lose wait so I'm trying not to eat, so just had breakfast now for example - I wanted to try and skip breakfast but just felt too compelled to eat.
Thank god, no side effects except maybe the need to drink a bit more water than usual?
I'm looking forward to jab 2 now (strange!! 🤣)

Pandora71 · 10/01/2025 11:59

Checking in. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences. It’s so helpful.

Mounjarry · 10/01/2025 12:09

I just injected my first dose! I was surprisingly nervous but just thought let's do it, there'll never be a perfect time! Feel a bit light headed and nauseous but think that's partly as I was so anxious (although usually fine with needles).

sociallydistained · 10/01/2025 12:48

Checking into the new thread! I'm on day 1 of my 2nd jab (jabbed last night) I'm weighing Saturdays as that's when I last weighed and did all of my measurements. I'm nervous because I lost 5lb after between my initial weigh in for the prescription and the first jab. I think just water weight from my period so I'm not expecting a big loss. The weeks been great! I've had an on off again headache this week so I've taken a lot of paracetamol but other than that no obvious side effects. I just can't believe how good the lack of food noise is and I hope it continues!!

DGonMJ · 09/01/2025 21:49

Thanks for new thread @FatGirlDosing
Welcome to new joiners, good luck with your first dose.
Week 1, day 5, I’ve managed to stick to about 1200 calories each day so far, which feels good. Food suppression was very high first couple of days (like my brain was completely numb to my stomach!) then wore off a little so I started feeling hungry at lunchtime, but not ravenous and not enough to overeat. It’s not too much of a struggle to eat, I even really enjoyed tonight’s dinner (roasted squash with goats cheese and lentils). The main thing I'm trying to do is increase my protein, it’s really tricky to get near to the the 70g-100g I’m supposed to have.
I’m hoping to stay on 2.5mg for as long as possible and only up the dose if I start to plateau.
I’ve also found other benefits - I’m getting up easier in the morning and not procrastinating at all with morning prep and exercise, I’ve completely stopped doom scrolling on my phone, and I’m not getting the afternoon slump at work.

SW 79.6kg
CW 76.3kg
GW 65kg

Interestingly I've noticed the afternoon slump isn't there - I wonder if it's to do with blood sugar spikes?

Haha yes I have to admit I weighed myself at 8am the morning after I'd taken the first dose (at 9pm haha) and was wildly disappointed it didn't say my goal weight 😂

Willowslayer · 10/01/2025 13:18

Hello all, hope it's OK to join the thread even though I haven't started yet :-)

Ordered on Wednesday from Medino, waited for instructions to send evidence. Instead, got an email thanking me for sending 'these' and saying I had been accepted. Waited yesterday to see if they would get back to me. When they didn't, I contacted them today. Got an email saying the last email had been an error and telling me what they need. Tied myself up in knots getting a video of me weighing myself, eventually managed (although somehow my head is upside down!)

When it came to proving my height I couldn't work out how to video and hold the tape measure then I managed to break the measure :-( Does anyone supply without having to prove height?

I was almost in tears earlier. I'm so frightened about taking this but I'm more frightened of not taking it, if you know what I mean. I broke my leg 7 months ago, I still can't walk properly and have done no exercise since then. When I got on the scales on Wednesday I topped 18 stone for the first time ever. Knowing I could lose half my body weight and still be a healthy BMI is a very sobering thought.

Edited for typo!
