Hi @Jjsmum2007 I'm close behind you, I did my first jab yesterday (friday 10th) in the evening, and have felt very clearly non-hungry since yesterday! Very very strange. I keep saying to myself 'this must be placebo' but even if it is placebo I'm very pleased.
This morning I woke up, had my normal black coffee. Then said ok I'd better have some breakfast (as I had to work 4 hours this morning). I really really wasn't bothered though. I thought i'd have yoghurt & some nuts, that's a nutritious choice that I often have ... but had no yoghurt in the house. I think at this point the normal 'me' would just grab a bagel (that we did have) & gobble it down. I wasn't even tempted!! I kept checking this with myself, a bit unbelieving, and no, I wasn't tempted.
Eventually I got 3 clementines, said to myself ok I'd better eat something. I managed to eat only 1.
Then a bit later in the morning - in between appointments - I ate a protein bar (TREKK). This was purely a decision - I'd better eat something kind of feeling - rather than I need this / I want this. Again, very very strange. Will it last?
The one symptom I did notice is that after the protein bar for a couple of hours, I had the jitters, a bit like a sugar rush, a bit like that excited feeling we get? Has anyone had that? I wonder if Mounjaro (which I take) means that we are then likely more sensitive to sugary things like that? It wasn't necessary unpleasant, more like a rush of a bit too much energy, but with plenty of water it eventually went. Next time I eat something sweet I'll make sure I have protein with it.
It's now 1 pm, lunchtime, and no hunger at all. It's all very bizarre to me.
Just sharing this initial experience of my first day in case anyone is about to start. So far so good with me. No other side effects apart from a slightly bloated & burpy feeling, but totally manageable.
