Yes, I’m exercising and also feeling the difference without those kilos! I do strength training and more dynamic exercises at the gym. Have also added rowing now.

In my experience pain like that at night is tight hip flexors. Possibly right down into the sides of pelvis. Try doing a lot of different stretches for inner thighs, hip flexors, bum, sides of core, etc etc and work out what’s tight.

Im exercising. I try to do 20-30 minutes of cross trainer followed by some weights/kettlebells. I'm slowly building up the amount i do, today i managed 20 minutes of cross trainer but with higher resistance than the last few weeks.

Yeah, you want that pain under control more than anything. I got pretty bunged up on co-codamol when my c-section ripped back open but the pain was much worse. Hopefully those ABs sort you out soon.

Great loss too!! It'll be interesting to see if MJ can bypass the set point.

I love all the long updates, I've read so many of the other threads too.

Honestly, no, almost none. I mean I'll walk places but my job is very sedentary and whole lifestyle really. Same as you, I want to get a bit smaller and then exercise more. I do have an exercise bike but this is hit and miss. I don't find exercise makes any difference to my weight loss though (probably not doing enough when I actually do!)

Ooo, those look yummy and lots of protein. I love cheesecake. I got an absolute bargain on my shakes but they haven't been dispatched yet so not sure if they'll actually turn up.

Shrinking is annoying for BMI points lol.

I've been walking regularly (2-3 times per week, walking 3-4 miles each time) and cycling occasionally.
I've just started strength training, which I haven't really done before. I did a beginner lower body workout yesterday, and today I'm very much aware of every muscle in my legs.

End of week 4 weigh in today and have lost 6lb in total. Not felt any suppression at all this week so definitely ready to try 5mg next week.

Took my 5th dose today... the bonus one. Used a syringe to extract the remaining liquid which was just over 0.7ml. Hurt quite a bit more than using the pen but I probably blunted the needle as it took me 3 goes to extract all of the remaining liquid!

Really hoping the 5mg next week works better for me. I had a good couple of early weeks on 2.5mg but not great in week 3 and barely helped at all with food noise etc in week 4!

End of first week of 5mg. Still no suppression. Lost 0.2kg in a week Starting to think I'm one of the 15% that wli don't work for. I'm doing 16/8, no snacks, 400 - 500 call lunch, and 600 - 800 cal supper. Plus horrendous constipation. Go me. (wish I could 😁).

I will try this, have been doing some stretches but probably not as well as I could!

@Waymarked7 good luck! I guess if you’re running more (and probably better, using more muscle range) some stiffness could easily build up

I have been on 2.5mg since 6th December.

I have 2 doses of it left, and have the 5mg to go up to when they finish.
But the 2.5mg isnt holding the food noise back, so I want to start the 5mg today.

My question is, can I leave the 2 doses of 2.5mg in the fridge for another month without using them or will they "go off"? Or should I double dose myself tonight with them, thus having 5mg overall?

I think you'd be better off double-dosing as I believe that the medication shouldn't be used more than 30 days after first jab/seal has ben pierced.

I think I was expecting the suppression to be higher. It was pretty good on 2.5. It’s ok on 5 but not great.

After my plateau I managed to lose another kilo, maybe thanks to HIIT class at the gym. I've cautiously ordered a other month of 2.5 from Asda but my appetite is mostly under control, just the odd biscuit creeping in. (My rotten family won't keep them out of my way). Jeans are identifiably less tight too which is great. No side effects yet. Another 3-4 kg this month would be great.

I’d maybe not quite double dose and do an in-between dose - it’s quite a jump up to 5 and I know myself and lots of others had quite rough side effects.

I'm due to order my next dose - currently on 5mg. Struggling with headaches over the last week which has made me a bit wary of moving up to 7.5m. If someone has unpleasant side effects at a certain dose, are those likely to worsen with an increased dose? I imagine that's likely but wondered if that's actually the case?

So this week was a bit pants, actually put on 0.2lb. I still had fairly good suppression and my in take was in line with other weeks but the MJ benefits seem to have waned. I suffered really bad water retention and some light headed feelings, I felt really bloated to.

So I've taken the decision to move up from 2.5 and I've taken 3.75 on Thursday night. Woke up this morning to have lost 1.8lb in a day. I feel less bloated but still have some water retention (shows by big imprints from my sock tops).

I thought I was doing great on 2.5mg but the 6th week really needed a step up so I've ordered the 5mg for my next pen.

SW 14 stone 3.8lb (199.8 lb)
CW 12 stone 8.4lb
TW 11 stone

W1 7lb
W2 4.4lb
W3 2.4lb
W4 3lb
W5 5lb
W6 +0.2

Lost over 1 1/2 stone in 6 weeks so am still really happy 😊

So currently week 5, using the 2.5mg bonus dose and a second full pen to titrate to 3.75mg for four weeks. Then I’ll probably move straight up to 5mg once I’ve finished week 4.

I’ve definitely noticed my appetite is much more suppressed even with a modest increase in dose. I’ve had a few side effects after I went for a long run-currently training for a half marathon and honestly felt dreadful after running a relatively short distance. I’ve also caught a cold from my son so this could also explain some of my symptoms…

so far I’ve lost 5.5kg which is halfway to my target so thrilled and people are starting to notice which is great. My clothes fit better and I’m almost a dress size down. I am although nervous of trying to do any significant running as I honestly haven’t felt that bad after a run before. Hopefully the weight comes off quickly enough for me to stop with enough time to train effectively.

Reading all the other threads it seems like symptoms actually often get better up the doses, presumably because the body has more time to get used to it.

There's no way to know without trying - you could always drop back to a lower dose on a higher pen (less clicks)

Thanks @TrinityWaves. That's interesting. It's weird that my headaches are worse now (3rd dose of 5mg) than they were when I first upped the dose. I think I'm eating less, so maybe they're just 'hunger headaches' and I'll adjust.

Hi all,
Just found this thread. Started on MJ in Dec:

SW 212.8 lbs
CW 203 lbs
TW 161 lbs

So I’m currently in Week 5 and did my first 5mg dose last Monday. I wish I’d found this thread before!! Think I should’ve stayed on 2.5mg for a while longer as I’ve been having terrible sulphur burps and diarrhoea virtually from the start. This week it really kicked in by Weds and my stomach was gurgling so much in work!
Im going to have to get some more needles to spread out my doses but I do feel like my appetite comes back a couple of days before the next jab.
I’ve lost 10 pounds so far and am not craving my favourite crisps anymore. I’m hoping to reach my target in around 6 months.
