Welcome all December 2024 starters, and November and January starters too😊. As we're almost at the end of the first thread, I thought to start a new one before it finishes.

Well done @glittermittens we are jab twins as I started on the same date as you. Im also 5ft4!

Clothes getting baggy feels fab doesnt it.
Im still wearing the sams clothes but theyre all loose now.

Looking forward to Spring snd wearing some smaller stuff from the past!

glittermittens · 07/02/2025 08:50

Thanks @Goinghome20 it looks like we are losing at a similar pace. I'm aiming to be in the 12's by end of Feb as I have an op in March so I want to be lighter so that recovery is smoother.

CrystalDeCanter · 07/02/2025 10:26

Hi all

@LC4life I love your shout outs to everyone 😁

Thanks all for the kind words. I saw my doc and results are all clear thank fuck. I have have a few more tests but nothing weird going on with my insides as far as my gp is concerned. So I'm now back to thinking it's a side effect of the medication.

I am thinking of moving up to 5mg tomoz, it's my 3rd or 4th week of 3.75 and I'm not losing anything anymore ffs.

I want to get back to the amazing suppression of a few weeks ago 😩

Waymarked7 · 07/02/2025 19:52

Update on the jeans!! Ordered size 12 and can actually button them up, haven't been a 12 since having kids, keep going everyone, we are all doing amazing 😀

VickyT85 · 08/02/2025 13:30

Haven’t posted on a while but so fab to read about the losses!

Think I’m week 9

I was on 3.75mg using bonus dose 2.5mg from first pen then using 2nd to calculate 4x3.75mg. Anyway woke up yesterday hungry and began to eat everything so can safely say effect is weaning at the end of fourth week of 3.75mg. Don’t know how but managed to lose weight this week but had done a lot of exercise. I elected to bring my first 5mg dose forward by 2 days because clearly 3.75mg wasn’t working anymore. Has snyone else done this. Was a bit worried at first but rationalised that 3.75mg wasn’t working so why not

Feel fine this morning, 5mg working and no side effects (yet)

weight loss so far

SW 81kg
CW 73.5kg
GW 70kg

Lindy0070 · 08/02/2025 14:12

Hi all,
I’ve taken my 9th shot and weighed today. I’m now at 198lbs!!! I was desperate to get under 200lbs, so that makes me 14st 2lbs and started at 15st 3lbs!! I’m chuffed to bits and my mojo is definitely coming back 😉. Hope everyone is continuing on this journey as positively as me. I’m going to stay on 5mg for the next month and see how my weight loss goes.

JunoRoma · 08/02/2025 16:08

@Lindy0070 well done on the sub-200lb milestone!

I'm not seeing much movement on the scales this week but my current clothes (one size down from when I started) are feeling slightly looser.

Lindy0070 · 08/02/2025 17:01

@JunoRoma
Non scale victories are still positive steps in the right direction 🙌🏻🙌🏻

itispersonal · 08/02/2025 19:57

Has anyone else experienced needle hesitation as they've injected! On week 13, and this week and last week I've had to psych myself up to inject. Could do it no problem before!!!

Had a good weight loss month on 5mg (for me) on 11 lbs lost and 23 weight loss overall since starting mid November. No longer obese now overweight

JunoRoma · 08/02/2025 21:26

@itispersonal leaving the obese category is a significant milestone!

I haven't had any issues with using the needles which attach to the pen, but was slightly daunted by the longer needle I used to extract the 5th dose at the end of each pen, and asked DH to do those injections for me.

Yes! Just this past two times! It went fine, after I got over the initial wavering, but weird that I was happily injecting before.

Anyway, status update. 2st, 4 lbs down since end of November and feeling good. Had two days in the last couple of weeks though where I've felt that old compulsion and ate more than I needed. No binging, but a bit of rabbiting around for food between meals despite no physical hunger. Think its time to say so long to 5mg and move on up to 7.5. Annoyingly my next 5 pen has just arrived, so will need to be after that.

shrinkingthiswinter · 08/02/2025 21:53

Sometimes I feel a bit wobbly about the injection. I caught a random sensitive place a week or two ago and that has made me shy. But I just do it anyway. I had a massive need phobia when I was younger, so am surprised and pleased that I can do this.

Slimwannabe · 08/02/2025 21:59

Wonderful news @CrystalDeCanter, so pleased for you!

@Lindy0070 AMAZING! Well done!

JunoRoma · 08/02/2025 22:43

@PresidentBarklett that's a great total loss so far!

@PresidentBarklett that's a great total loss so far!

Thanks, yeah I'm delighted with it. A lot was water weight (11lb of it) the first week and since then I've drifted between 1 to 2 lbs a week, which is ideal. I'm so pleased I did this for myself, honestly.

CrystalDeCanter · 09/02/2025 07:57

Well done @PresidentBarklett and @Lindy0070 it's great to hear your success. Incredible weight loss in 2 months.

I have booked myself in for a haircut on Wednesday, first haircut for months, apart from me hacking at my fringe. Am going for highlights too - I honestly think this is weight related. I feel better about myself so feel like investing in meeee 😁

itispersonal · 09/02/2025 09:17

@PresidentBarklett well done! I'm on my second month of 5mg - probably should have gone up to 7.5mg but still losing on it, but having to consciously think about not snacking/ eating etc rather than have the suppression. But nice to see have a bit of willpower

MerryChristmasYaFilthyAnimals · 09/02/2025 09:20

Morning all.

Just jabbed and started Wk9 today. Total loss so far is 16.5lbs. Still consistently going down by about 1-2lb per week.

I've gone for 2.5mg again for this time, because I had ordered my pen, but had mass cravings by Thursday this week. I'll see how I go and may just shorten timescales between jabs and then move to the 3.75mg. (I already have a 5mg one in the fridge from before when I thought I wanted to go up).
Ive also ordered the needles to get the bonus dose out of the pen as hard twist didn't work. So I'll use that next week once the needles arrive. Otherwise I feel like I'm binning £30 worth of meds each month.

I've started doing some basic reps with weights for my arms and shoulders too. (Only have 0.5g weights though) and I'm still waiting on my walking pad arriving too!

How has everyone else done this week?

Absolutely- having to think about it, rather than it just being natural.

5mg is still effective for the most part, so I'm just going to view those picky days as good practice for titrating down and maintaining. It's all good learning!

Slimwannabe · 09/02/2025 10:55

Just completed W10, W11 D1 today, still on 5mg, still doing around 1800cal a day, still jabbing into alternate thighs.

Another 2lb off, so 24lb total, and now under the 250lb mark!

SW: 273lbs
CW: 249lbs
GW: 154lbs

Lindy0070 · 09/02/2025 16:16

@CrystalDeCanter You deserve to pamper yourself and have a bit of a treat. You deserve it!!

shrinkingthiswinter · 09/02/2025 20:26

So good to hear about everyone's progress!

I'm 11.5kg down after 9 weeks now. Still on 3.75mg.

I'm hungrier, I think, and maybe full less quickly, or perhaps rather I feel more of the old urge to eat a bit extra when I'm full. But actually I'm not sure I'm hungrier - even in December I remember being very ready for mealtimes when they arrived. But at that stage I felt a bit anxious if I wasn't a little hungry in the evening, in case I had overeaten. There are a lot of emotions in all this, aren't there?

On Friday we went out for an amazing tasting menu and I was able to eat nearly all of it and that worried me, though in fact everyone said they weren't too full, so I think it was quite moderate portions. It tasted incredibly rich after weeks of chicken, vegetables, nuts and Huel, but didn't give me the dreaded sulphur burps which I've previously had from anything fatty.

I made it to the gym a record six times this week, including trying a surprisingly vicious new kind of yoga, which I think was called Vinyasa. Today went to Yin yoga for the third time, which is much more relaxing and also stretches out all kinds of old stiffness in me. If anyone is thinking about trying yoga, I'm delighted with it, and there are people of all shapes and sizes and ages in the class, so from my experience at least there wouldn't be any need to feel concern about how you look or what you can or can't do.

This week I'm looking forward impatiently to seeing 91.something kg on the scales. Then once I'm at 91.0 I'll be two stone down. Then can't wait to get into the 80s. And in about 4kg I'll be 'only' overweight.

JunoRoma · 09/02/2025 21:52

@shrinkingthiswinter I'm also looking forward to reaching 91kg - for me it would mean I'm halfway to my goal weight.

Six gym sessions in a week is very impressive! I've been doing 30 minutes of strength training 2-3 times a week and hoping that it might become a long-term habit.

I managed a long walk yesterday (in the cold drizzle). I was dressed appropriately but recently I've been feeling the cold a lot more and my internal thermostat doesn't seem to keep me warm in the way that it did.

frogpigdonkey · 10/02/2025 20:51

Week 10 weight and jab day!
SW 15 stone
CW 13 stone 8
TW ?? 10 stone
Loss 20 lbs

Still creeping down slowly! On the plus side still feeling pretty fine- not much nausea or stomach issues. Still a bit disheartened by the pace when I feel I'm eating very well . But feel good and plodding along 😬

shrinkingthiswinter · 10/02/2025 22:05

@frogpigdonkey isn’t that 2 pounds a week? That means you’ve got about 1000 cal deficit a day. It’s surely a really fast loss, sustained over more than two months!
